The District of Clearwater’s Community Recreation, Healthy Living Program in partnership with the Canadian Red Cross offers a wide variety of learn to swim lessons for children of all ages and abilities. Participants will gain confidence and learn to be active and safe in and around the water with this progressive learn to swim program. Session 1: Jul 23 - Aug 3, Mon - Fri x2 weeks Session 2: Aug 6 - 17, Mon - Fri x2 weeks Time: Schedule TBA in July Cost: Up to Level 6-$60 (30 min. classes) Levels 7-10-$85/10 (45 min. classes) Location: Dutch Lake These programs are designed for babies (6-12 months) and toddlers (1-3 years) with their caregivers. The program provides a fun and exciting introduction to the aquatic environment and focuses on exploration, water safety and individual progress. Each class is structured to include play and songs, interactive circle time and incorporates basic skill development to enhance learning in a fun environment. Clearwater Hockey School offers 6 days of fun, friends and skill development. Included in the school are a
variety of off-ice sports, recreation activities and dryland training based on age groups. The younger players
will have the opportunity to learn to skate/improve skating skills and get familiar with the fundamentals of
hockey. Older players will focus on skating proficiency, advancement in offensive/defensive play, and goal
scoring all while keeping it fun! Thursday is game day for all groups!

Courtney Johnson Courtney is coming back this summer to teach this super fun 2 day dance program for kids! Courtney has been in love with dancing since age of 3 and has done immense training in Ballet, Graham, Horton and Hip Hop. She studied at New York City’s Ailey School and there she had the opportunity to perform with a world renowned Hip Hop group, the Elite Force Crew. In 2010, Courtney left New York, moving back to BC where she has continued to teach and train in Ballet, Modern, and Hip Hop. She has taught and choreographed for multiple studios in BC, and hosted workshops in Alberta, Connecticut, New York, and Mexico. Her students have been successful in their training, finishing in top placements around BC festivals and competitions. Courtney has also won awards for her choreography in modern dance. In addition to teaching dance, in recent years she has been facilitating Yoga teacher training.
