BPT HOME AUTOMATION AND SECURITY ALARM USE THE KNX STANDARD PROTOCOL
Bpt uses KNX, the world standard protocol that permits automated, decentralised management of the technological systems used in any type of building (private or public, small or large in size).
KNX is an open standard protocol and complies with main European and international standards; it fits naturally into the design layout of the most advanced buildings, synonymous with sustainable development, savings, comfort and security.
Through the use of appropriate KNX devices, Bpt home automation and security alarms are now capable of communicating with all other technologies using the KNX standard protocol that can be found in the same home or building. The fact that all the technology can communicate with each other results in maximum integration of functions such as:
control and management of energy consumption;
control and management of lighting;
control and management of motorisation of rolling shutters;
control and management of overall and zonal heating;
control and management of ventilation and air conditioning;
monitoring of alarms;
control and management of electrical loads;
management of electricity and gas meters;
management of home appliances;
control and management of audio and video systems.
All KNX installations can be easily integrated and adapted to new requirements, quickly and at a low financial cost.

The Bpt home automation system is opening up to the world of KNX. In fact there is a new range of products that combines the highly prized performance of Bpt's video entry, home automation and security systems with the high connectivity of KNX devices, thus guaranteeing numerous system solutions.

MITHO KNX - FUNCTIONS
The Mitho Plus terminal lets you control a system made up of KNX devices, and at the same time control Bpt video entry systems from the internal receiver. In fact it is possible to connect entry panels from the X1 2-wired system (Thangram, Lithos) to the terminal and access the video entry system functions the system offers: communication with entry panels via the hands-free function or the integrated handset, intercom with other terminals and video voice mail. The terminal also permits mutual interaction between the two systems: a command from the video entry system enables an action in the KNX system (eg a call from an entry panel can launch a scenario on the KNX home automation system); similarly, an action carried out by the KNX system enables a command in the video entry system.
The "Programs" menu lets you set control logics and Timers for activations in particular conditions and according to the timings of the devices controlled.
The Mitho HA KNX terminal offers the same features apart from the video entry system.

By navigating through the "Rooms" menu, you can select the commands for the devices provided for each room from those managed by the terminal.
The main screen lets you access control of the KNX home automation devices, through different menus.

PROXINET AND KNX: 5 CONTROL UNITS THAT CATER FOR EVERY TYPE OF PROTECTIONProxinet is Bpt's Brahms-brand range of products, created for the security sector, made up of a wide and well-articulated range of control units that can manage from 8 to 192 inputs.
Proxinet8 is the entry-level model for small systems with high performance. Proxinet36, Proxinet76 and Proxinet192 are the 3 models that can be expanded either via radio with appropriate wireless peripherals or via bus expansion modules. The latest addition to the range is ProxinetW, a wireless control unit with keyboard, display, transponder keyfob reader and siren incorporated, which brings together the professional characteristics of the whole range with the ease of installation of a wireless system.
All the control units can be connected to Bpt's home automation system and can exchange information with the Mitho terminal. Today Proxinet represents the evolution of a security system integrated with a building automation system.
PXKNX: THE INTERFACE CARD THAT OPENS UP THE KNX WORLD
The PXKNX interface case opens the Proxinet system up to the KNX world, allowing security alarm control units to exchange data with systems created with KNX protocol.
PXKNX connects to the RS232 port that all Proxinet control units are provided with and, as well as guaranteeing communication with the KNX bus, makes available the following further communication ports:
• USB port for connection of a PC in order to run programming operations with PXManager software (in this case the connection between the control unit and PC is direct and can be carried out using a simple USB cable);
• Second RS232 port that replicates the RS232 port provided on the control unit and enables the connection of further communication cards (eg. connection of LAN PXWEB interface card).
