- Elderly people have limited options when wanting to communicate. Only few products are aimed at this particular age group.
- We want to change this by creating an intuitive artifact for blogging.
- Elderly people have both the time and the stories to tell, and with a tool matching them they can be the new wave of bloggers.

Brainstorming:
23/30 October Interaction Design at ITU, Fall 2006Simona Maschi and Heather Martin
Interests and easy access- The 2nd interview confirmed our suspicion that elderly people want to
share experiences, opinions and stories. “I am in a wine club. It would be great if I could read about wine
and write to other elderly people in Denmark with the same interest.”
- Some elderly do in fact know how to use a pc, but the majority do not feel confident using one.
“[…] The most difficult is to install new applications.”

Cultural Probes
- We gave 2 elderly women a disposable camera to photograph the things they
like using and thing they find difficult using.

Our final design directionMotivation and inspiration for elderly people to start blogging
- We want to create a network of elderly bloggers where they can write and read about the thing that they are interested in.
Create a new platform for blogging
- We want to make a more intuitive service for elderly people who have information they want to share.
