Work Part Carrier and Four-Piece Work Part

Work Part Carrier is used for carrying and transporting theFour-Piece Work Part on conveyor belt system. The Work PartCarrier is equipped with 6-Bit identification which provideslarge number of possible codes, read out by inductive sensors.

The Four-Piece Work Part enables workflow models such asassemblies, testing, sorting, storage and disassemblies.

All Work Part Pieces are available in different colours andforms, all solid plastic or aluminium made.

Conveyor Belts

Conveyor belt systems transport the Work Part Carrier withattached Four-Piece Work Part.

Adjustable height of the conveyor belts enables the combina-tion with existing mechatronic system.

Technical Data:

• Non-slip heavy duty toothed belts. With toothed belts the Work Part Carrier can be positioned precisely

• Flange-mount for interconnection of conveyor belt andcurves without drive

Different drives are available for Conveyor Belts:

• Drive DC 24V with gear box and control panel (Rotation speed-, direction control and additional connections panel)

• 2 x inductive sensors (NC) with adjustable fastener, for stop positions

• Implemented positioning disk with optical sensor fordistance measurement

Curves transport the Work Part Carrier 90° around the corner.Dimension: 305 x 305 x 172 mm (LxWxH)

Two different applications for drives are available:

• Without drive, for the interconnection conveyor belt and drive

• With drive for stand alone operation to Transfer Node or High Bay Rack. Drive with gear box and control unit (Rotation speed- and direction control)

Transfer Node covers the function of a crossing. Distributingthe Work Part Carrier to four different directions. Realisationby drive rotating stand and conveyor belt with second drive.

Bolt Assembly and Disassembly

For assembly and disassembly of the plastic and aluminiumbolts at the Work Part two different pneumatic workstationsare available. Bolt assembly and disassembly is designed forconveyor belt attachment. Up to three separating magazinescan be positioned on one conveyor belt system.

Sorting Unit

The sorting unit is made for demounting the Upper and LowerWork Piece of the Four-Piece Work Part.

Upper and Lower Work Piece can be separately taken and bedeposited right or left beside the conveyor belt. The stationgets mounted on an existing conveyor belt. Up to threesystems can be placed on one conveyor belt.

• Counter-acting cylinder with 355 mm range for the move-ment in X-axis

• 2 x compact counter-acting cylinder for movement in Z-axis

The test station checks per inductive, capacitive and opticalsensors the assembly of the Work Part.

Optional the 6-bit palette code can be read in by an evaluationunit (6 x inductive sensor with M12 connectors). The stationgets mounted on an existing conveyor belt.

With this camera system outlines and colors can be tested. Soit is possible to evaluate the outline of the Upper Work PiecePart (round or edged) or the color of the pins (red or silver).The camera gets set up by an enclosed software and control-led, respectively evaluated by digital in- and outputs of a PLC.

For mobile use, all base stations (conveyor belts, curves,transfer nodes and high bay rack) can be equipped with speci-al mechatronics mobiles and adapter bays.

They are characterized by the following advantages:

• With large-volume cable trough and lid with double rubber sealing lip for a flexible, structured and protected wiring.

• Modular attachable to a complete system.

• Extensible with Didact frame for mounting DIN-A4 education systems (PLC-panel, etc.).

• Compatible to the laboratory system Profi
