The year is 1991. There are no life-like graphics. There’s no voice acting. There are barely any story lines. There is a new system on the market that came with a game about a funny blue hedgehog with a need for speed saving his friends.

20 years later and Sonic the Hedgehog is one of the most iconic characters in all of video game his-tory. Our friend has had his ups and downs, but he’s managed to spin dash his way into our hearts.

This book is an artistic celebration of Sonic the Hedgehog and his speed rush through 20 years of games. From 8-bit era to full 3D this book covers a wide range of characters and environments through comics (both US and UK) as well as many a game the blue blur has left in his trail.
