Anna Balkan Jewelry Our Story Owner: Anna Balkan A native of Ukraine, Anna Balkan came to NYC in 1992 alone with just $100, jobless, and speaking only Russian. Through hard work she learned English, earned a college degree and worked in the IT industry in various leadership roles. After a 12 year career in the corporate world, Balkan chose to follow her childhood love of jewelry design and left the corporate world to start her own jewelry company. The company has been growing fast and her jewelry can be found today in over 150 boutiques worldwide. Balkan contributes to various charities dedicated to human rights.
