If all 2021 subscribing libraries participate, Annual Reviews guarantees that the 2021 volume of the eight journals will be published OA, with CC BY licenses, and all back volumes will be made freely available. The conversion to OA is contingent upon the participation of our subscribers’ support. Without your subscription, the titles will remain gated access. S2O is therefore a subscription offering.

The S2O program empowers customers to utilize their subscription budgets to support the OA publishing of trusted, world-leading review journals. If the program is successful, Annual Reviews will expand the offering to other journals across our portfolio in future years.
