Debbie was born and raised in Wenatchee, and has beenvolunteering for Apple Blossom for over 30 years. Debbie has servedon many Committees, including Youth Parade, Booster Pins,Jewelry, Entertainment, Art for Kidz, the Arts and Crafts Fair andmore. She also volunteers in the Festival Office. Debbie has served 4terms on the Festival Board, as well as the Executive Board. She isalso a member of Wenatchee Central Lions Club and has worked onPageant. In 2005, her husband Don served as the Director General,and in 2010, Don was Applarian Chancellor and Debbie was theApplarian First Lady. In 2012, Don and Debbie were honored andpresented with the Lehman Johnson Award for their years ofvolunteering. In 2016, Debbie served as Director General.

Don and Debbie live in East Wenatchee and have been married for 38 years. Debbie retiredfrom Eagle Transfer Company as GM after 32 years. They have 2 children, 5 grandchildren,and 2 great grandchildren. Debbie loves, loves, loves the Apple Blossom Festival and all thefolks involved. It is a big part of her life and ABF will always be Simply the Best!!

She has a Juris Doctorate degree from Seattle University School of Law, a bachelor’sdegree from the University of Washington. Melissa has also completed a certificate innon-profit management from Seattle University. Melissa is passionate about workingon behalf of children and families and has concentrated her volunteerism in thatspace. She is currently a trustee for the Scholarship Foundation of Northshore, amember of the Association for Fundraising Professionals and the Washington StateBar Association. She has served on numerous other boards and been a member of avariety of professional organizations. She is also a Woodinville Rotarian. When notat work she enjoys reading, spending time with family and cheering on the Huskies.
Melissa is the President and CEO of Make-A-Wish Alaskaand Washington. She joined the local Make-A-Wish chapterin September 2018. She has 15 years of experience as a non-profit executive and previously served as Associate ViceChancellor for Advancement & External Relations at theUniversity of Washington’s Bothell campus; Director ofDevelopment for the Domestic Abuse Women’s Network(DAWN) and spent five years in private legal practice.

Gabe is a lover of music and has traveled the country playingmusic as a DJ and with a few bands. He lives in Maple Valley, Washington with hiswife and two daughters, age 10 and 13, and spends his free time volunteering at hisdaughter’s school, soccer, and dance events.
