Debbie was born and raised in Wenatchee, and has beenvolunteering for Apple Blossom for over 30 years. Debbie has servedon many Committees, including Youth Parade, Booster Pins,Jewelry, Entertainment, Art for Kidz, the Arts and Crafts Fair andmore. She also volunteers in the Festival Office. Debbie has served 4terms on the Festival Board, as well as the Executive Board. She isalso a member of Wenatchee Central Lions Club and has worked onPageant. In 2005, her husband Don served as the Director General,and in 2010, Don was Applarian Chancellor and Debbie was theApplarian First Lady. In 2012, Don and Debbie were honored andpresented with the Lehman Johnson Award for their years ofvolunteering. In 2016, Debbie served as Director General.

They have 2 children, 5 grandchildren,and 2 great grandchildren. Debbie loves, loves, loves the Apple Blossom Festival and all thefolks involved. It is a big part of her life and ABF will always be Simply the Best!!

She has a Juris Doctorate degree from Seattle University School of Law, a bachelor’sdegree from the University of Washington. Melissa has also completed a certificate innon-profit management from Seattle University. Melissa is passionate about workingon behalf of children and families and has concentrated her volunteerism in thatspace. She is currently a trustee for the Scholarship Foundation of Northshore, amember of the Association for Fundraising Professionals and the Washington StateBar Association. She has served on numerous other boards and been a member of avariety of professional organizations. She is also a Woodinville Rotarian. When notat work she enjoys reading, spending time with family and cheering on the Huskies.

Melissa is the President and CEO of Make-A-Wish Alaskaand Washington. She joined the local Make-A-Wish chapterin September 2018. She has 15 years of experience as a non-profit executive and previously served as Associate ViceChancellor for Advancement & External Relations at theUniversity of Washington’s Bothell campus; Director ofDevelopment for the Domestic Abuse Women’s Network(DAWN) and spent five years in private legal practice.

for 22 years. Over the last 10 years, his focus has been to help independent agentsachieve their marketing goals through shared experiences, and is the co-creator of thenational Customers for Life program. He works with Safeco Independent Agents toidentify marketing and operations best practices to improve customer experience. Gabeexpresses the importance of defining an agency brand and a client communicationstrategy to develop relationships with clients. Most importantly, he works to foster anenvironment where agents can share their ideas and learn through collaboration… andhave fun while doing it! Gabe is a lover of music and has traveled the country playingmusic as a DJ and with a few bands. He lives in Maple Valley, Washington with hiswife and two daughters, age 10 and 13, and spends his free time volunteering at hisdaughter’s school, soccer, and dance events.

Gabe is the Region Operations Manger at Safeco Insurance. Hegrew up in the lower Yakima Valley and graduated from WhiteSwan High School. He attended Seattle University where hegraduated as a Double Major in Public Administration andForeign Languages. Early in his career he worked for theYMCA of Greater Seattle as a Program Director overseeing theParent Child Program and summer day camps. She also won an Emmy for team coverage on a Florida teen’s murder trial that made national headlines. Alyana is passionate about our youth, their futureand looks to help highlight a path of opportunity for them. She believes investing in our youth means investing in our future. Her success and tenacity is driven by her curiosity,holding people in power accountable and giving a voice to the voiceless. Alyana is a wife and mother of two young children. She enjoys outdoor family adventures, dancing,biking and soaking up the sun.

Philadelphia and raised in South Jersey, where her love for journalism blossomed through her experience co-hosting her middle school’s daily newsbriefing. Her passion for storytelling continued to grow during her undergraduate in Maryland. She graduated in the communications honor society,Lambda Pi Eta, and obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Salisbury University, with a concentration in broadcast communications. With more than a decadein local TV News, Alyana has traveled and worked all over the country, in cities including Jacksonville, FL, Hartford, CT and San Francisco, CA.
