Newark Lodge 2281 Dear Members, I am hoping this newsletter finds you and your families well and happy. It pleases me that we are once again able to provide some events that we were not able to in 2020 due to the pandemic. We were so glad to bring Elvis back to the lodge and to provide an Octoberfest Dinner, Children’s Trunk or Treat and our Adult Halloween Party. Hopefully, you were able to attend some of these events. As always, a big thank you to all of our members and their families that made these successful. I am happy that we are also able to once again host our Craft and Vendor Fair and Comedy Show coming up this month. We have also booked live music so be sure to check your calendars for dates and attend these events if you can. In our continuing effort to always help others, the following outlines how you can help provide for those less fortunate: Patriots Tree -- Stop in and choose an angel once the tree is ready, on or around November 12th. VA Hospital Wish List – Check out the list of what’s needed within this newsletter. Coat Drive -- Be on the lookout for a collection container in the lobby and donate your gently used coats. As you read through the newsletter, I hope you will enjoy seeing pictures and fun we have had and information about upcoming activities. We are always in need of a helping hand, so if you see anything you would like to get involved with, please let me know. Dear Members,
I am hoping this newsletter finds you and your families well and
happy.
It pleases me that we are once again able to provide some
events that we were not able to in 2020 due to the pandemic.
We were so glad to bring Elvis back to the lodge and to provide
an Octoberfest Dinner, Children’s Trunk or Treat and our Adult
Halloween Party. Hopefully, you were able to attend some of
these events. As always, a big thank you to all of our members
and their families that made these successful.
I am happy that we are also able to once again host our Craft and Vendor Fair and Comedy
Show coming up this month. We have also booked live music so be sure to check your
calendars for dates and attend these events if you can.
In our continuing effort to always help others, the following outlines how you can help provide
for those less fortunate:
Patriots Tree -- Stop in and choose an angel once the tree is ready, on or around November
12th.
VA Hospital Wish List – Check out the list of what’s needed within this newsletter.
Coat Drive -- Be on the lookout for a collection container in the lobby and donate your gently
used coats.
As you read through the newsletter, I hope you will enjoy seeing pictures and fun we have had
and information about upcoming activities. We are always in need of a helping hand, so if you
see anything you would like to get involved with, please let me know.

It will soon be streaming with information previously presented on the poster on the hall door as well as updates on our Grants, Veterans and Scholarship programs. We will also honor our ENF donors and Fidelity Club Members. I encourage all members to donate to ENF as this is the funding source for our Grants and Community Investment programs. The most efficient way to donate and stay current with the Elks fiscal year is to join Fidelity Club. Let’s make 2021-22 an even better year and increase our sup-port of our Cardinal Principle Charity! Visit ENF.elks.org/FC to join Fidelity Club today! Donate 24/7 at ENF.elks.org/support. Combat duty and deployment can have far reaching effects on the mental stability of our nation’s heroes. If you know of a Veteran, young or old, who is struggling to fit in with society, have them call this 24-hour, toll-free, confidential suicide prevention hotline today. We owe them their lives!
If you have an idea, submittal, question or comment about Lodge activities, email or text it to me by the 17th of the month. As usual, we reserve the right of review for appropriateness of content and revision as necessary in accordance with editorial policies and oversight by the Exalted Ruler.
