Welcome to this year’s Georgia Logistics Summit.

I’m Sandy Lake, Director of the Georgia Center of

Innovation for Logistics, where it’s our mission to

help Georgia’s logistics businesses clear the path to

innovation and growth. I’m thrilled that you have joined

us for our annual event. Although the world looks

different from our last in-person Summit, I want to

assure you that this year you will see the same caliber

of content that you’ve come to expect.

We couldn’t have a Summit this year without

addressing how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected

the logistics and supply chain industry. Its effects

rippled through nearly every industry, and as we saw

consumer demand shift to online purchasing, it has

required the industry to swiftly pivot. As a result, there

were many lessons learned, shifts in technology to

accommodate these changes, and spikes in online

shopping that have impacted trucking and last mile

delivery.

During the Summit, you will hear from a group of

industry experts who are leading their companies

through the change. This year’s topics focus on the

following trucking themes:

• Resiliency in Crisis and Lessons Learned

• Shifts and Acceleration of Technology in the

Trucking Industry

• National and State Trucking Perspectives

• Impacts of Overnight Spike in e-Commerce

Thank you for being part of one of the Southeast’s best

logistics and supply chain events. We’re glad you’ve

joined us and look forward to continuing to drive

innovative growth together.

Welcome
