Montanha Clube it´s a well known Organization when the subject is mountains sports. Created in 1990, by João Bandeira, João Lopes and Pedro Barradas, soon imposes itself in motocross.

Howecer, in the past thirty years, Montanha Clube hugely evolved and now is composed by several sections as paragliding, mbt, trail running, hikers, motocross and judo.In fact, Montanha Clube has the best

backyard to the practice of mountain sports. Located in the Center Region of Portugal, Lousã Mountain has its highest point at 1205m above the ground and is one of the best places in the country to practice mountain sports. This mountain combines the cultural and human aspects of the natural environment with the leisure opportunities that its landscape offers.

Located in the central part of Portugal, the municipality of Lousã, is part of the old district of Coimbra. Lousã is characterised by being, mainly, a mountainous territory and endowed with a rich natural landscape.

The town of Lousã is very small but it is home to some of the most historic national monuments in Portugal and several schist villages.

INFORMATION RACE BIB

Each runner is responsible for their own safety. In the mountains, autonomy is a key notion which must always take priority over that of the competition.

In the case of being unable to continue, call the race HQ (phone number on the race bib), or the emergency number 112. Be aware that even if the organisation has developed a successful and complete plan to help to guarantee the safety of competitors on all the race routes, various hazards connected to the mountain environment or the race may keep you waiting for help for longer than anticipated.

All the obligatory material listed in the regulations as well as the additional material which is recommended by the

LOUZANTRAIL® organisation is useful. There is nothing superfluous. In the mountains the weather conditions change very fast and these changes are not always foreseeable in advance.

Solidarity is an essential value in the mountains. Assisting a runner who is injured or in difficulty is an absolute must. If you meet a person in difficulty, speak to them, ask them how they feel, give the alert and stay with them until help arrives.

Try to memorize the last sign you saw. That will allow a much quicker rescue. The signs have 2 characters: a number and a letter. You only need to memorize one of them.

Since there won´t be a blocking of road traffic, the participants must follow the traffic rules in localities and public roads, under the penalty of having to assume potential damage and compensations resulting from their infringement.

There will be signs along the path informing all the potential dangers.

The organization will signal the route with signaling strips and vertical signaling plates.
