For all in-person voting, health precautions will be taken at the County’s polling places. Masks will be required, hand sanitizer will be provided, social distancing will be encouraged, and shared surfaces will be disinfected throughout the day. For those wishing to vote absentee, they can request an application at mnvotes.org. Mailing of absentee ballots was started September 18, and may be returned by using an included postage-paid envelope or dropped at any of the County’s five in-person absentee locations. The County’s five voting locations are: Cottage Grove Service Center, 13000 Ravine Parkway, CG Oakdale City Hall, 1584 Hadley Ave. N., Oakdale Headwaters Service Center, 19955 Forest Rd. N. Forest Lake Washington County Govt Center, 14949 62nd St. N. Stillwater Woodbury Central Park/Lib, 8595 Central Park Pl. , Woodbury Early in-person voting began September 18 and will run through November 2 at the above locations. Early voting hours will be held from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday; 8 am to 3 pm Saturday, Oct. 31, and from 8 am to 5 pm Monday November 2. On Election Day, November 3, absentee ballots must be dropped at the Washing- ton County Govt Center, 14949 62nd St. N., in Stillwater before 3 pm. Also on Election Day, all polling locations will be open in Washington County from 7 am to 8 pm, including the Lake St. Croix Beach City Hall. A copy of the ballot for Lake St. Croix Beach is located on the posting board at City Hall. 2020 On Halloween evening, Saturday, October 31, from 5 to 7 pm, the Lower St. Croix Valley Fire Department will be hosting a Community Trick or Treat event at the station for those parents wishing to stop by with their little ghosts and goblins. Candy will be distributed by driving into the front of the fire department parking lot, 1560 St. Croix Trail South. Residents should remain in their vehicles and firefighters and EMTs will approach your vehicle to say hello and distrib- ute candy maintaining proper social distancing.
