IMPORTANT NOTICE TO BUYERS The Junior Fair Livestock Sale will again be a "Buyer Contribution" sale to support our 4-H and FFA youth. Other fairs using this format have found the process is clearer for both the youth and the buyers. In a Buyer Contribution Sale the bidding starts at $-0-, and the bidding at any time only reflects the contributions of the bidders. The checks that the youth receive after the sale will reflect the buyer contribution, less commission and promotions, plus the market price for their animal. The Junior Fair Sale still offers the opportunity to have an animal custom killed for the meat product. Buyers who want custom slaughter of a purchased animal must immediately upon completion of bidding, yell "hold that animal" and tell the auctioneer to which slaughter-house to send the animal and sign a custom kill form. Market prices for animals are available in the Sale Trailer. NOTE: Only a buyer or seller of an animal can custom an animal. The buyer has the first right to custom an animal. The Livestock Sale Committee will only collect support price of animals custom killed by buyers. Animal's custom by seller will receive donations only from sale committee and the seller will be responsible ꞏto collect support price. Turkeys, Pen of 3 Poultry, Goats, and Rabbits cannot go custom kill. All market hogs, lambs, and steers going custom kill will be hauled by commercial carrier for slaughter to a fair designated slaughterhouse at either St. Mary's Meats or Myers Slaughter House at the expense of the purchaser. The Livestock Sale Committee will allow buyers to collaborate together to purchase animals; however, groups will be limited to five (5) bid numbers per animal and each bidder number will be limited to two (2) related businesses. The of the sale are cash. Please settle all accounts at the end of the sale with the clerks from the Farmers & Merchants State Bank in the trailer located outside at the NW corner of the show arena prior to leaving the grounds on sale day. The sale committee reserves the right to charge interest on unpaid balances after 30 days. There will be a $25.00 minimum if an individual wishes to add to a seller's donation through the Jr. Fair Sale. This includes all individual animals, the gallon of milk and the horse item. SUPPORTING 4-H & FFA YOUTH In order to support 4-H and FFA youth showing market steers and feeder calves, the Rupp Seed Company of Pettisville will give $20 to each member who receives an "A" grade on their beef steer, dairy steer, born & raised steer, beef feeder, or dairy beef feeder calf project. Thank you notes may be addressed to Roger & Peggy Rupp, 17889 County Road B, Wauseon, OH 43567, (419) 337- 1841. In order to support all youth showing dairy projects at the fair, the Fulton County Dairy Association will be giving$150.00 to each 4-H and FFA member showing dairy projects #122 and #126 at the Fulton County Fair. Thank you notes should be sent to Roger Crossgrove, Secretary/Treasurer, Fulton County Dairy Association, 22-139 Co. Rd. V, Archbold, Ohio 43502.
VOLUNTEERS All auctioneers and all other persons associated with the Livestock Sale are donating their time to Fulton County youth. Farmers and Merchants State Bank is donating the services of several of their employees for several days to support 4-H and FFA youth and the Fulton County Fair. Participation in the Junior Fair "Buyer Contribution" Sale where the exhibitor walks their animal through the ring for a donation is voluntary unless you have a Grand or Reserve Champion. Grand and Reserve Champion Hogs, Lambs, Market Steers, Goats, Rabbits, Chickens, Turkeys and all market animals will become the property of the Fulton County Fair Board and must go to slaughter.

This year, the 4-H Horse Program has approximately 85 participants. Your support of the sale of the Horse Item enables the horse youth to continue and expand their program educational environment. Funds generated from this sales support annual operating costs such as judges, awards, and clinics and also contribute to the maintaining of the horse barns, the entry booth, and the arena. These were several items that were done as a result of the generous business and private donations received through the sale of the Horse Item at the Jr Fair Sale. Your contributions have also helped with the annual awarding and recognition of the Outstanding 4-H Horse Member of each 4-H horse club.
900 COPIES OF THE LIVESTOCK SALE CATALOG ARE PRINTED AT A COST OF $0.71 PER CATALOG. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE THEM.
