Patricia Lagarde PhD candidate, Art History and Latin American Studies, Tulane University Andrew W. Mellon Fellowship Patricia Lagarde was awarded a fellowship to conduct her project "Facing Pilgrimage," which positions sculpture at the Peruvian ceremonial center of Chavín de Huántar as sacred entities (wak’a) integrated within Andean pilgrimage practices. Ramey Mize PhD candidate, History of Art, University of Pennsylvania Douglass Foundation Fellowship in American Art Ramey Mize was awarded a fellowship to illuminate artistic representations of and challenges surrounding three wars that shaped American history: the Civil War (1861–65), the Black Hills War (1876–77), and the Spanish-Cuban-American War (1898).
