These new safety measures may take additional time so please be patient with us as we greet your children and welcome them into the building. • Do not use cell phones while in the carpool process. Please put our students’ safety first. • Pay attention to the staff as they give direction, they are here to help! • For the first few days, plan on extra time for pick up and drop off. Arrival Procedures for North & South • Cars line up in the same order facing the same direction as in previous years. • Students in grades Pre-K through 8th-grade exit cars from the passenger side when directed by Saint Simon staff. • Students in grades Pre-K through 8th-grade stand next to their car with masks and backpacks on until they are greeted by a staff member and told to go into the building. • Students in grades Pre-K through 8th-grade are only to enter the building through the doors that they are directed to by staff. • All families with Preschool students must use South Drop-off. Families will drop of PreK-8 th grade students at the school drop-off, then proceed to the church overhang for Preschool drop-off. South Arrival –called South because all cars will turn left and head South when leaving school. • Students in grades PreK through 8th grade who arrive in the front half of the car lines (directional arrows will be displayed) will enter the building using the Prayer Garden sidewalk. A staff member will greet the students inside the doors (entrance #22) to assure all students arrive in their classrooms. • Students in grades PreK through 8th grade who arrive in the back half of the car lines (directional arrows will be displayed) will enter the building through the doors (entrance #19). A staff member will greet students as they enter the building to make sure all students arrive in their classrooms. • Students are to walk into the school to assure physical distancing. North Arrival - called North because all cars will turn right and head North when leaving school. • First Round of cars will form four rows of cars facing the Sims Center - Students in grades PreK through 8th grade in rows 1 and 3 are released and enter the building through the left- hand doors (entrance #18). Then students in rows 2 and 4 are released and enter the building through the right-hand doors (entrance #18). • North Remaining Rounds of cars - two rows of cars - Students in grades PreK through 8th grade in row 1 will enter the building through the left-hand doors (entrance #18). Students in row 2 will enter the building through the right-hand doors (entrance #18). • Students are to walk into the school to assure physical distancing.
