Contents foreworD t his report presents the scope and scale of the Rain-forest Alliance and UTZ primary certification pro-grams in 2019 – the second year after our merger.
It currently includes our coffee, cocoa, and tea programs.
The 2019 data on the Rainforest Alliance banana program will be added to this report by June 2020, once we’ve re-ceived all sales numbers from our partners.
The report focuses on the key indicators related to:
• Market uptake: sales of Rainforest Alliance Certified™ and UTZ certified crops;
• Program reach: estimated Rainforest Alliance Certi-fied and UTZ certified production, numbers of produc-ers and workers, and certified area in different geog-raphies.
The report is part of the Rainforest Alliance monitoring and evaluation system. Most of the data in this report is collect-ed via our online Certification and Traceability systems.
We do our best to ensure that all the information in this re-port is accurate and reliable. As a lot of the data is collect-ed by third parties, we are aware that there may be some shortcomings.

We cannot share the data on the UTZ certified tea at the regional level, as there are less than three UTZ certified tea producers in Latin America. Sharing this data would put at risk the data privacy of the individual producers.
