As an importer and sales organization with our distribution network, we feel it's important that we continue to encourageand create awareness about proper recycling to our distributor/dealers. We therefore continue to encourage our ownsales staff to work with their distributors/dealer: Guidelines to our Sales staff are: Your main role the APC is to createas much awareness about proper recycling practices as possible with dealers/distributors and, as a flow on effect, endusers. We want, to the best of our ability, reduce the amount of TTS waste ending up on the kerb side and in generalwaste. There are 4 main topics we need you to communicate with dealers: Encourage re-use of cardboard boxes Forstorage of tools, accessories and consumables; returns such as RAs or repairs; and to dispatch their own orders.Encourage recycling of paper and cardboard When cardboard or paper cannot be re-used for the above, (for example, water damaged boxes) then we must encourage dealers to use proper recycling bins for disposal (if they are not doingso already). Encourage proper and safe disposal of Li-Ion batteries individually and/or within equipment, as well as anyold electronics. When a dealer is unsure of how to dispose of a battery or old electronics you should be able to assistthem in finding a solution. There are many free disposal facilities for old batteries across Australia BUT be aware thatsome companies will charge for collection while others will require you to drop them off. TARGETS
Some resources:https://mri.com.au/dropzone/ just enter you location and search http://www.batteryrecycling.org.au/recycling/lithium-ion-batteries for suggested companies across Australia
