WHO WE AREThe MSA is a surgical organization comprised of 600+ surgeons who have established reputations as practitioners, authors, teachers, and/or original investigators. The objective of this society is to exemplify and promote the highest standards of surgical practice, especially among young surgeons in the Midwest. MSA values family time as a core covenant of our organization. Members gather every year to develop professionally and participate in family forward events and activities.

MEETING PURPOSE AND AUDIENCEThe objective of this Annual Meeting is to exemplify and promote the highest standards of surgical practice, especially among young surgeons in the Midwest. Our meeting audience is comprised of community and academic surgeons with expertise in basic science, clinical investigation and a variety of specialties.

The Midwest Surgical Association and its authorized representatives are hereinafter referred to as “Show Management.”

PAYMENT AND REFUNDS Payment in full is due at the time of application. Applications received without such payment will not be processed nor will space assignments be made. All payments are non-refundable.

SPACE ASSIGNMENT Whenever possible, space assignments will be made by Show Management in keeping with the preferences as to location requested by the exhibitor. SHOW MANAGEMENT, HOWEVER, RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MAKE THE FINAL DETERMINATION OF ALL SPACE ASSIGNMENTS IN THE BEST INTERESTS OF THE EXPOSITION.

EXHIBITS Show Management reserves the right to restrict the operation of, or evict completely, any exhibit which, in its sole opinion, detracts from the general character of the exposition as a whole. No retail sales are permitted within the exhibit area at any time. No volatile or flammable fluids, substances or materials of any nature prohibited by city, fire regulation or insurance carriers may be used in any booth; all construction in a booth shall be substantial and fixed in position for the duration of the show; all aisles and exits must be kept clear, clean and free from obstructions to comply with fire restrictions. Live animals are prohibited. Distribution of material is limited to the area within the exhibitors trade show booth. Exhibitors shall not interfere with others ability to conduct trade show activities.

SECURITY Routine hotel security will be provided. The MSA will not take responsibility for any loss or damage to any exhibit.

LIABILITY It is agreed that individual exhibitors will protect, save and keep MSA and Hotel from any damage or charges imposed for violation of any law or ordinance whether occasioned by the negligence of the exhibitor or those holding under the exhibitor, as well as to strictly comply with the applicable terms regarding the exhibition premises; and further exhibitor shall at times protect, indemnify, save and keep harmless the above parties against and from any and all loss, cost, damage, liability or expense arising from or out of or by reason of any accident or other occurrence to anyone, including the exhibitor, its agents, employees and business invitees, which arise from or out of or by reason of said exhibitor’s occupancy and use of the exhibition premises or a part thereof.

INSURANCE It is recommended that exhibitors obtain adequate insurance coverage, at their own expense, for property loss or damage and liability for personal injury.

AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT Exhibitors acknowledge their responsibilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act (hereinafter “Act”) to make their booths accessible to handicapped persons. Exhibitor shall also indemnify and hold harmless Show Management, and facility against cost, expense, liability or damage which may be incident to, arise out of or be caused by Exhibitor’s failure to comply with the Act.

SHOW MANAGEMENT SHALL HAVE FULL POWER TO INTERPRET, AMEND, AND ENFORCE THESE RULES AND REGULATION, PROVIDED EXHIBITORS RECEIVE NOTICE OF ANY AMENDMENTS WHEN MADE. EACH EXHIBITOR AND ITS EMPLOYEES AGREES TO ABIDE BY THE FOREGOING RULES AND REGULATIONS AND BY ANY AMENDMENTS OR ADDITIONS THERETO IN CONFORMANCE WITH THE PRECEDING SENTENCE. EXHIBITORS OR THEIR REPRESENTATIVES WHO FAIL TO OBSERVE THESE CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT OR WHO, IN THE OPINION OF SHOW MANAGEMENT, CONDUCT THEMSELVES UNETHICALLY MAY IMMEDIATELY BE DISMISSED FROM THE EXHIBIT AREA WITHOUT REFUND OR OTHER APPEAL.
