Pac-12 Football - October 30, 2018 //Pac-12 Football - October 30, 2018
COLORADO: CU started three freshmen on the offensive line for the first time in its history (LT Will Sherman, C Colby Pursell, RT Frank Fillip); Fillip is the 12th true fro-sh to start on the CU o-line in school history ... Today marked the 15th time CU had a 300-yard passer (QB Steven Montez, 319), 100-yard rusher (TB Travon McMillian, 132) and 100-yard receiver (WR K.D. Nixon, career-high 198), the ninth time in the MacIntyre Era; Montez has been a part of six of the 15 ... With 319 yards passing, Montez became the fifth player in CU history to throw for 6,000 yards (6,045). With 385 yards of total offense, he now has 6,840 career yards and looks to become the fifth player with 7,000 yards. It was his fifth 300-yad game this year, the 12th of his career (the CU record is 13 by Sefo Liufau, 2013-16) ... McMillan posted his fifth 100-yard game at CU and now has 778 yards on 147 carries this season (5.3 per).
ARIZONA: RB J.J. Taylor finished with 212 yards and 2 TDs on 30 carries in the 44-15 upset over Oregon. Taylor eclipsed the 100-yard mark on the ground for the sixth time in his career and tallied back-to-back 100-yard rushing games for the first time in his career. Taylor joins Ka’Deem Carey and Khalil Tate as the only players in UA history to have two games with 210 or more yards. Taylor went over 1,000 rushing yards and now has 1,029 rushing yards on the season. He is the first Arizona run-ning back since Nick Wilson (1,375 yards) in 2014 to post more than 1,000 yards in a season ... LB Colin Schooler finished with 11 tackles and 1.5 tackles-for-loss in Saturday’s win. Schooler has been either the team’s leading or second-leading tack-ler in 13 of Arizona’s last 15 games. He now has 16 tackles-for-loss on the season. That’s better than the Arizona team leader in TFLs in 18 of the past 20 seasons.

RB Eno Benjamin has eclipsed 100 rush-ing yards five times this season as he finished with 185 yards ... Throughout ASU history, only four running backs have had 100 or more yards in at least seven games in a season, a pace Benjamin will have a chance at with four games remaining this season. (Freddie Williams and Art Malone reached 8, Woody Green reached 7 twice and Demario Richard did so most recently in 2015.) ... Only 39 running backs had reached 125 rushing yards against USC since the 2000 season. Eno Benjamin did that in the first half alone on Saturday ... QB Manny Wilkins had a 45-yard TD rush to seal the game, the longest rush of his career. He now has 16 rushing TDs in his career, second among all ASU quarterbacks behind only Mark Malone (21).

He moved past Toby Gerhart for fourth all-time on Stanford’s career rushing list (3,546 yards).

He’s now eighth in career passing yards (11,153) and in career total offense (11,359) in the Pac-12 ... Browning is just the sixth player in Pac-12 history to account for 100 touchdowns (105 total: 90 pass, 15 rush) ... RB Myles Gaskin needs 337 rushing yards to reach 1,000 yards for the season. The Pac-12 is in the fifth year of a six-year agreement with seven bowl part-ners that should provide the Conference with a competitive postseason bowl experience. The lineup is led by the Rose Bowl Game presented by North-western Mutual, which is the destination for the Pac-12 champion. However, in 2018-19, if the Pac-12 champion is ranked among the top four of the CFP poll following the 2018 season, it would play in either the Orange or Cotton Bowl. The Rose Bowl would then replace the Pac-12 Champion with another Pac-12 team.

It was accomplished by Oregon State twice (Nov. 20, 2004 and Oct. 14, 2006) and once by USC (Sept. 24, 1988) ... Colorado’s Lavisk Shenault is just the fifth receiver to earn Offensive Player of the Week twice in the same season. He joins USC’s Dwayne Jarrett (2006), Stanford’s Troy Walters (1999), California’s Bobby Shaw (1997) and USC’s Johnnie Morton (1993) ... Washington’s Ben Burr-Kirven is the first player to repeat as Defensive Player of the Week since Arizona State LB Antonio Longino in 2015 (Nov. 16, 23), and the first Husky defender to repeat since CB Derrick Johnson accomplished the feat in 2002 (Nov. 9, 17).
