2018 Greendale Public Library Summer Reading Program ~ June 11 - July 27 Reading Clubs: There is a reading club for every age- youth (birth - 5th grade), teen (6th grade - 12th grade) and adult. June 8 th will be the first day you can pick up a Reading Club Log ( ONLY at the School’s Out event from 4-9pm). Starting June 11 th , pick up your log in the library! Read over the summer for a chance to win prizes. The last day to turn in reading logs is August 3 rd by noon. Monday Meet Up Playtime ~ Infants-5 th Grade Mondays 10-11:30am in the Community Room Unleash your energy and imagination with our incredible toys. Bingo and Board Games ~ Preschool-5 th Grade Mondays 1-3pm in the Kid Zone Drop in 1-2 to play bingo and/or 2-3 for board games. Light snack provided. Storytime and Crafts ~ Kindergarten - 5th Grade Mondays 6-7pm in the Community Room We will read a wonderful book followed by a creative craft. Keep your reading skills sharp and discover new books! Chalk the Walk ~ Preschool-5 th Grade Wednesdays 10-11am at front entrance Held rain or shine! Use chalk to decorate the front walk. Wonderful Wednesdays ~ Preschool-5 th Grade Wednesdays 2-3pm in the Community Room Morning Storytime ~ Preschool - 1 st Grade Thursdays 10-10:30am in the Community Room Enjoy an energetic storytime with books and lots of music and movement! Lego Club ~ Preschool-5 th Grade Thursdays 2-3pm in the Kid Zone Dig into piles and piles of Legos to create your ultimate Lego creation. Krafty Kids ~ Preschool-5 th Grade Fridays 10-11am in the Kid Zone Drop in and have fun making a variety of crafts. Card-making & stamping each week in addition to other crafts! Youth Retro Matinee ~ Preschool-5 th Grade Fridays 2-3:30pm in the Community Room Remember your favorite films and TV shows from when you were young? They’re baaack! Youth and their adults are welcome to come in for a classic kids’ film or TV show. Light snack provided. Tween Tech Take Apart ~ 3 rd - 5 th Grade Tuesday June 26 2-3pm in the Community Room Break down computers and make them into “techno-art”. Participants will use a glue gun.
