President’s Report TCGC MEMBERS, Just a reminder because of recent encounters. Members entering TCGC property should have a positive attitude with other members, even if they are having a talk with them about something they are doing against our rules. This goes both ways, I know when I have screwed up and am able to listen to "positive" criticism. If any member, including Board members, cannot do this then do not enter TCGC property. I have also told members to record with their phone any confrontations. When confronted, don't say anything until you start recording. When any club member has any problem, they should first consult with the Member At Large (a position on the Board to represent the concerns of all members) after which if they are not satisfied they should contact the Board.
People shouldn't have a negative attitude, which will intimidate others, this goes against our club's mission statement, and repeated offences could endanger your club membership. Have fun at the range and be a responsible adult shooter.
Thank You to all those working to improve our club!
Vice-President’s Report The Kimber Micro Carry is better to shoot then I expected. No problems hitting the target! Very excited to win the pistol!
This month Word of the Month can be found in the Forums! Win a Friends of NRA Cap and Plaque! First reply posted with your name and you are the winner!
Any member can advertise items for sale on the forum. After a few months or when items sell, please refresh (or remove) your ad or the webmaster will take down old listings.
Feel free to contact us if you have problems or questions.
Secretary’s Report We have started the online renewal process. Please look at the dates and times listed on the last page of the Hangfire and make sure you schedule yourself for the first range safety orientation you are able to attend. We are all busy and this will help make sure we all get renewed on time.

Safety Corner Greetings Tri City Gun Club Members:
Muzzle Breaks: Members are reminded that just as you are responsible for where your bullet impacts, you are also responsible for the gases created by a muzzle break. If you have a rifle with a muzzle break, please keep in mind the members shooting on the tables to your left and right. Do not set up on a bench when you already have shooters on the adjacent benches. Be polite.
Burglary: The McClain County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating our burglary on July 9th, thus we continue to keep the actual details in a close hold. We are continuing to improve our security measures, however as I mentioned at the August Club Meeting these measures will be on a need to know basis. If you have information about the burglary, please give me a call. If you need specifics about our security measures you can give me a call and we can discuss your need.
Opportunities to Serve: Please note, these opportunities provide Work Hours for your 2018 renewal and if you have already renewed can be applied to your 2019 Work Hours.

Some useful facts about the TCGC Calendar. The calendar contains scheduled and recurring events only. It does not include immediate closures for
range maintenance or emergency utility work unless timely notification is given. The calendar details which ranges are closed and the time they are expected to reopen. All events are subject to cancellation due to weather or other circumstances. Cancellations are reflected if timely notification is given. Non-Members, event participants, and those without skeet/trap access (shotgun events) need to
contact event coordinators for updates on cancellations. Contact information can be found on thewebsite.
All range maintenance closures are reflected if scheduled in advance. The calendar can be viewed in grid, list, or yearly format. Some devices may not support all formats. Some events may require member login for registration.
If you would like to schedule an event, reserve the stat house or pavilion, or have questions regarding the calendar, please contact me.
TCGC CLAYBREAKERS 5-Stand Success, Rain or ShineThanks to everyone involved in helping make 5-Stand a reality at TCGC. Your hard work, dedication, and your most generous donations have brought us closer to completion. Aug 19th around 30 people showed up (in the rain) to support 5-Stand. We had 26 shooters and shot 58 rounds. We enjoyed the cool temps, awesome new target presentations, and some darn good chili dogs. When we started this in May of 2017, I never thought we would be this far in a short time. On that note, everyone keep shooting! Every target broken gets us a little closer to completing the
project. We are saving up for a couple more throwers and a 20’ conex which will also be a base for a tower thrower. How cool is that?
****Notice**** Please turn off and decock all throwers. Clean houses and dispose of all trash in blue dumpster. Member owned Skeet/Trap cards are not to be used for your guest. A spouse is a guest if they are not registered as TCGC spousal members. Guest cards are available for purchase. $100/20rds or pay $6 per round. Any person that pulls a trigger on TCGC Skeet or Trap fields must sign-in at HI2 or be on a youth group roll sheet before shooting.

General Meeting Minutes – August 3, 2018 1. Prior to the meeting, a swap meet was held.2. Meeting called to order at 7:25.3. Minutes from the last meeting were accepted.4. A raffle was held for a Kimber Pistol.5. Jerry Tomlinson spoke regarding joining the Oklahoma Rifle Association (ORA). ORA supports gun
rights in Oklahoma by working closely with the state legislature. ORA’s numbers help it apply pressure on members of the legislature. SB1212 was discussed. Law enforcement and the ORA were against the bill but support constitutional carry. The bill had several elements that were unreasonable to gun owners. ORA does offer lifetime memberships.
6. Joe Mays brought a pair of .38 Colt blue navy 1895 six shot revolvers from the first battleship New Jersey.
7. Bill will be working at the Wildlife Expo at the Lazy E Arena. Coming to help is fun and will earn work hours. Contact Bill if you are interested.

18. All of our equipment valued over $50 is inventoried and registered by serial number.19. Guests with a medical marijuana license, and under the influence of marijuana, may not handle a

digital systems. Upgrading or replacing current systems will be necessary. Concerns with camerasbeing hacked were raised. Camera software is regularly updated to prevent this kind of vulnerability. We will get a quote for an all-digital system with improved coverage.
5. Junk is being hauled off.6. Bill will be out of pocket early next week.7. The webmaster’s poll results were discussed. The survey submissions were made anonymously. The
website meets most users’ needs very well. The calendar is the primary draw and should be moved tothe main page. Range closing should be made more visible. There were several bits of valuableconstructive criticism. Softening our communication style may be helpful. The forum needs contentdisclaimers.

9. 4-H has had more young shooters recently.10. Renewal help was discussed. We need more helpers.11. Mark will be absent at the next regular membership meeting.12. All messages regarding a member not being able to attend any scheduled renewal should be forwarded
directly to the CRSO.13. 2019 event planning was discussed. Hunter Education is better in September. YHEC will need the full
range. Most major events are already on the calendar.14. Info copies for renewals will be turned off for the secretary’s inbox as they unnecessary and
overwhelming.15. Concerns were raised regarding verifying work hours. Most hours are checked by reviewing the cards.
