The cell is operated by the students of the College under the aegis of its Chairperson to provide Podarites with jobs and career opportunities of their choice. The Placement Cell started functioning with a very clear objective of ensuring a higher placement record and a better reach to the students of the college. To facilitate this objective, a ‘Placement Awareness Programme’ was conducted, under which, the Placement representatives visited each division of the B.Com and BMS classes to give a short presentation on the Placement Cell and its planned activities for the current year , replete with a timeline. This ensured that the students were well informed about the placement activities of the college and their part in it. The Placement Cell organized a Resume Building and Mock Interview Session by Ms. Shilpa Vivek and a Group Discussion Session by Ms. Leena Ramani on the 25th of September 2018. This activity was for all the registered students of the Placement Cell from the Final Year of both B.Com and BMS courses. The students were provided guidance on how to draft their resume and to prepare for the interviews of upcoming placements. Following this, there was a Group Discussion Session, where the lecturer told the students how to sit, observe and perform in a Group Discussion.
First Final Placement Week
The First Final Placement Week was conducted from the 8th of December to the 19th of December 2018. Ernst & Young, Deloitte, KPMG and Genpact were some of the companies who were a part of the campus placement drive.

Ernst and Young invited two representatives from the college to participate in their Campus Anchor Program on 5th July 2018 at the Enrst and Young Ruby office in Mumbai. It was an opportunity to interact with the leadership and HR team at EY and to know their business and culture in detail.

2) JP Morgan Webinar Session:Around 80 students participated in an Online Academy Session on “Careers
Advice: Discovering India Opportunies” by JP Morgan on 26th July 2018. The session elaborated on careers in Finance, application tips, interview and best practices at JP Morgan.
3) Mumbai University Pilot Project:A Pilot Project by the Mumbai University was conducted by Ms. Suchitra Surve on
‘ Competency Assesment and Soft Skill Development’ to enhance Employability Skills of Third Year students in order to identify the needs and prepare the youth to face challenges at the workplace. The first part of the assessment project was conducted on 6th August 2018.
