OUTREACH PROGRAMSEDUCATION AND RESEARCH
Miracle Babies is passionate about improving maternal and child health in San Diego. Miracle Babies seeks to address the issue of maternal health by providing education to help women have healthier pregnancies. Research indicates the health of a mom during pregnancy significantly impacts the health of her child throughout the child’s life. Miracle Babies funds research that helps us understand and provide better outcomes for pregnant women and their future child(ren).
FAMILY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The founding purpose of Miracle Babies is to help qualified families meet their basic expenses while they are caring for an infant in the (NICU). In coordination with the referring hospital, Miracle Babies evaluates each families’ need by considering several factors, including, income-to-debt ratio, gestational age of child at time of birth, length of stay in the NICU as well as the severity and nature of birth abnormalities, and distribute grants to families based on their need. Each family is also connected with our Parents Supporting Parents for educational and emotional support.
Kangaroo Care is the practice of skin-to-skin contact between infant and parent. Research shows for low-birthweight infants Kangaroo Care can reduce mortality, severe illness, infection and length of hospital stay.

The Miracle Circle supports the work of Miracle Babies through fundraising, community outreach and advocacy.
