treats for the children. If you have any questions about

the day, please email your child’s homeroom teacher.

Please be sure that all costumes are appropriate for

our school environment. Props that are weapons and

gory costumes are not allowed. The goal is to provide

a positive experience for all of our children,

especially our little ones, who can be easily

frightened. I appreciate your understanding in this

matter.

What’s Purple Friday?

On designated Fridays (or Thursdays) students may wear

Ravens jerseys, shirts, or colors with their gym shorts or

gym pants and tennis shoes for a donation of 50 cents.

The SJE Student Council will designate the charity to

which the proceeds will be donated. Students also may

wear purple and/or black socks, ribbons, bows, and

jewelry. The dates are marked on the website calendar

and highlighted in the weekly update.

What’s Spirit Day?

Once a month on the Tuesday that we have our pizza

lunch in the church hall, we also have a special spirit

day. Our student council chooses a theme, and students

can wear t-shirts, socks, and hair accessories reflective

of that theme with their gym pants and tennis shoes.

Volunteering & STAND If you want to volunteer and/or attend field trips,

Spring Fling, and Olympic Day, you must be current

with STAND requirements. Complete or update your

certification easily online. Please contact our STAND

coordinator, Mary Beth Bressler, at

[email protected] if you have any questions.
