6. WELLES PARK In the heart of Lincoln Square sits this fifteen acre park, a gathering place for musicians and sports and fitness enthusiasts of all kinds—and home to a green, wrought-iron, European-style gazebo as a centerpiece for the Lincoln Square community.

12. DVORAK PARKLocated in Pilsen and the Lower West Side Community area, Dvorak Park totals close to six acres, and also serves as the site for many community festivals including Mexican Independence Day and Fiesta Del Sol.

17. LOYOLA PARKLocated in the East Rogers Park community, Loyola Park sits on approximately 21.5 acres of land, and provides a great diversity and quantity of programs—including Special Recreation programs for people with disabilities and Art Partners who bring their talents to the community.

1. NAVY PIERLocated in the center of downtown Chicago’s lakefront, Navy Pier is the most visited attraction in the entire Midwest. Chicago Shakespeare Theater serves as the cultural anchor of historic Navy Pier, situated alongside various restaurants, shops and attractions for locals and visitors to enjoy.

7. COLUMBUS PARKLocated in the Austin Community, Columbus Park totals more than 130 acres. This historic park is considered the finest work of landscape architect, Jens Jenson and was declared a National Historic Landmark in 2003.

5. ECKHART PARKLocated in the West Town Community, Eckhart Park totals eight acres and features an indoor swimming pool, meeting rooms, fitness center, and boxing center. Outdoors, the park offers baseball diamonds, an athletic field for football and soccer, a playground and garden.

16. PIOTROWSKI PARKLocated in the South Lawndale community in the Little Village neighborhood, Piotrowski Park totals almost 23 acres and features a convertible domed pool for year-round use, a gymnasium, fitness center and meeting rooms.

8. TULEY PARKLocated in the Chesterfield community, Tuley Park is a cultural facility, totaling over twenty acres, that was recognized as a Chicago Landmark in 2004. It features a garden, tennis courts, swimming pool, and a Spanish Revival- style fieldhouse.

3. GAGE PARKLocated in the Gage Park community, Gage Park hosts fun special events throughout the year for the entire family, such as Hispanic Heritage Month and other holiday-themed events.

15. HAMILTON PARKLocated in the Englewood community, the park totals almost 30 acres. Among its many features are two gymnasiums, an auditorium, dance studio and archery range. After-school programs are also offered throughout the school year.

2. ELLIS PARK Located in the Douglas Community, Ellis Park totals 9.86 acres. Outdoor features include tennis courts, athletic fields, and a soft-surface playground. The Arts and Recreation Center at Ellis Park features 32,000 square feet of facility space that includes a competitive pool, a gymnasium, a fitness center and multi-purpose arts and community spaces.

14. STEELWORKERS PARKPreviously part of the US Steel Complex known as South Works, this South Chicago park has recently transformed into an attractive landscape with 16.5 acres of natural areas, trees, walking paths and exquisite views of Lake Michigan.

9. HUMBOLDT PARKLocated in the heart of the Humboldt Park community, the park totals 219 acres, featuring the Institute of Puerto Rican Arts and Culture—the only museum in the nation that is completely dedicated to the history of Puerto Rican culture.

10. FRANK J. WILSON PARKResiding on close to nine acres of land, Wilson Park was created by the Old Portage Park District and consolidated into the Chicago Park District in 1934.

18. PING TOM MEMORIAL PARKPing Tom Memorial Park’s 12-acre site was originally a railroad yard that has been transformed into a beautiful rolling green space with impressive river views. The park features a boathouse, playground, fieldhouse with a gymnasium and swimming pool, and distinctive Chinese landscape design elements.

11. GARFIELD PARKLocated in the East Garfield Park Community, Garfield Park totals 184.72 acres and features the historic Golden Dome field house. The field house holds a gymnasium, auditorium, dance studio, fitness center, boxing center, grand ballroom and meeting rooms. Afterschool programs are also offered throughout the school year.

13. RIDGE PARK Named for the tree-studded ridge that runs along the park’s western boundary, the one-time shore line of glacial Lake Chicago totals over nine acres in the Beverly community.

4. KELVYN PARK Located in the Hermosa community, Kelvyn Park spans eight and one-half acres. The two-story brick fieldhouse is equipped with a fitness center and auditorium. Outdoors, the park has 3 sports fields, a basketball court, tennis courts and a playground. Kelvyn Park also offers seasonal youth sports programs and camps.
