About Kyonggi University Kyonggi University (KGU) is an accredited, private higher education institution established in 1947. Kyonggi has over 17,000 students in various majors in undergraduate and graduate programs on two campuses, Seoul and Suwon. The main campus is in Suwon, which is a traditional and cultural city located 30 miles south of the capital, Seoul. The Seoul campus is located in the center of downtown Seoul. Kyonggi University has 9 colleges containing 63 programs of study and 9 graduate schools offering various majors. The strength of Kyonggi's academic programs and research lies in Tourism, Hospitality, Arts & Design, Business, International Studies, Environmental Engineering, and Architectural Engineering. KGU has the leading position in the field of Tourism and Hospitality Management. The International Industrial Information program teaches all courses in English. The participants for the Summer Korean Language & Culture Program will stay at the on-campus student residence hall. It is a 22-story building that overlooks Suwon. Each room is equipped with two beds, two desks, two closets, internet access and a private bathroom. The residence facilities include a cafeteria, convenience store, coffee shop and reference rooms, fitness center, and laundry facility. Each room is shared by 2 people for the summer program.
