The Pac-12 will host its first-ever league championships - both pairs and team - for the confer- ence’s 23rd sport April 28-May 1 at Merle Norman Stadium on the campus of USC in Los Angeles. The NCAA will host its first beach volleyball national championship event May 6-8 in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The eight-team field will be selected from the 56 NCAA institutions sponsoring the sport of beach volleyball. Of the 56 teams, three teams will be selected from the east region and three teams will be selected from the west region. The remaining two teams will be selected at-large from the teams across the country. The Trojans’ 22-match streak is the second-longest in program history. Sets of twins set to compete in both the Pac-12 Championships Pairs and Team Brackets in ARIZONA’s Madison and McKenna Witt and UCLA’s Megan and Nicole McNamara. The Witt’s are the No. 2 seed in the Pairs event, while the McNamara’s are the No. 3 seed - should they win both of their Thursday matches, the two sets of twins could meet in a semifinal match on Friday at 10 a.m. PT on Pac-12 Networks. 2 61 Consecutive victories for the USC pair of juniors Kelly Claes and Sara Hughes, including a perfect 36-0 record in all competitions in 2016. The duo’s last loss came on April 2, 2015 before winning their final 25 matches en route to the 2015 AVCA Pairs National Championship and guiding the Trojans to their first-ever AVCA national title with a perfect 28-0 mark.

THE PAC-12 VS...

2016 marks the inaugural season of beach volleyball sponsorship by the NCAA and Pac-12 Confer-ence. The Pac-12 will host its �rst-ever league championships - both pairs and team - for the confer-ence’s 23rd sport April 28-May 1 at Merle Norman Stadium on the campus of USC in Los Angeles.

The NCAA will host its �rst beach volleyball national championship event May 6-8 in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The eight-team �eld will be selected from the 56 NCAA institutions sponsoring the sport of beach volleyball. Of the 56 teams, three teams will be selected from the east region and three teams will be selected from the west region.
