2016 MOUNTAIN DEW GATOR CROSS COUNTRY INVITATIONAL MEET DATE: Saturday, September 24 th , 2016 LOCATION: University of Florida Golf Course 2800 SW 2 nd Avenue Gainesville, FL SCHEDULE: 7:55AM University/College/Open Men – 8000 meters 8:30AM University/College/Open Women– 5000 meters 9:00AM Orange (Seeded) High School Boys – 5000 meters 9:30AM Orange (Seeded) High School Girls – 5000 meters 10:00AM Blue (Unseeded) High School Boys – 5000 meters 10:30AM Blue (Unseeded) High School Girls – 5000 meters ENTRY FEE: High School –There is an entry fee of $15 per athlete, with a maximum of $75 per team (unless there is a late fee added). Boys and girls teams are considered separate creating a maximum entry fee of $150 per school. All entry fees are non- refundable and non-transferable. Only cash and checks are accepted. Make checks payable to: University Athletic Association. Late Entries will be considered through Friday Sept 16 th . Once fields have been set there will be no additions. Late entries will be assessed an additional $20 late fee per runner (This will also include substitutions) or an additional $100 per gender per team. University/College/Unattached –There is an entry fee of $50 per athlete for all individuals, with a maximum of $250 per team of 5 or more. Male and female teams are considered separate creating a maximum entry fee of $500 per school. All entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Only cash and checks are accepted. Make checks payable to: University Athletic Association. Unattached college athletes will be allowed to run for $5.00 by showing their college ID. If you do not have your ID, you will be charged $50.00. SEEDING & REQUEST FOR RECLASSIFICATION Team placement into the seeded and unseeded races will be done by David Halliday based on current rankings and past results. Any special request for classification, individual or team, can be sent to David Halliday at [email protected]. Request must be received by Wednesday Sept 14 th . List of teams in each race will be announced by Friday Sept 16 th on the www.floridagators.com cross country page. NFHS RESTRICTIONS Due to the National Federation of High School rules regarding competing against middle school aged competitors, the Mt. Dew Invitational is only open to Florida High Schools. COURSE/UF GOLF COURSE: On grass, rolling hills – up to ¼” spikes or racing flats recommended.

ENTRY LIMITATIONS: High School – maximum of seven runners per school may participate. For substitution purposes you may enter more than seven however only seven may compete. There are no JV races.
University/college division has no limitations to the number of runners.
ENTRY INFORMATION: Entry deadline is Wednesday Sept 14th by 5:00pm High School: Entries will be handled through the www.fl.milesplit.com entry site. College: Entries will be handled through www.directathletics.com entry site. UNATTACHED ENTRIES: No high school athletes are permitted in the university races. Unattached entries for college races must email entries to [email protected]
by 5:00pm Sept 14th. PACKET PICKUP: Friday: from 4:00pm-7:00pm at UF Baseball Ticket Office annex located on the
east side of the indoor football practice facility. 2125 SW 2nd Ave. Gainesville, FL 32611 Saturday: from 6:30AM – 9:30AM outside the Golf Course Clubhouse
ENTRY FEE PROCEDURE: Please do not mail your entry fees. Entry fees will be paid in person at packet
pick-up on Friday and Saturday. AWARDS: Awards will be given to: Top two teams in the two collegiate sections Top Division I team Top Non-DI team
Top two teams in each high school section High School Girls & Boys in each section – Top 15 individuals University/College Men & Women – Top 15 Individuals COURSE INSPECTION/WARMUP: The course will be open for warm-ups beginning Saturday, September 24th at
6:30AM. Runners must always stay off greens and tees. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
RUN THE COURSE BEFORE SATURDAY. ANYONE CAUGHT ON THE
COURSE PRIOR TO OPENING WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RACE.
Course maps will be available at packet pick-up starting at 6:30AM. They will also be available on line at www.floridagators.com
PARKING: Parking at the Golf Course is limited. Team buses and team vans will park at The
Gainesville Women’s Club, 2809 W. University Ave. Spectators can park at the Univ of Florida Law School located on the corner of SW 2nd Ave and Village Drive. Do not park along 2ND Avenue or at Publix. The police will tow your vehicle!
DRESSING FACILITIES: There are no dressing or shower facilities available at the Golf course. Portable
toilets will be provided. RESULTS: Results will be posted at the conclusion at the end of each race. Coaches can view
results online at halfmiletiming.com. No additional copies will be provided at the course.
