us/featured-‐alumni/ Vintage Night in Italy On April 12th, fellow Oxonians journeyed back in time to the Prohibition Era. The alumni group hosted a Vintage Night of swing dance lessons at the Vinile Club in Rome. The evening began with finger foods, cocktails, and fellowship before a lesson in the Lindy Hop. Beginners of all ages
were welcomed although some of our alumni were skilled dancers. “It was so much fun to watch the ballroom filled with men sporting suspenders and papillons, and women who looked as if they came straight out of
a 1930s movie” stated Marco, our Country Champion in Italy. Afterwards, the night continued with a live Jazz concert and a vintage DJ set. Dining at le Camelia in Bougival, France OES members in France gathered in April at le Camelia in Bougival, France, for fine dining and a time of sharing about school inspections, poetry, and classical music. “All enjoyed and we planned a future event at le fruit défendu. We can’t wait to gather again and re-create that post-MCR atmosphere…To be followed!” Sarah Copty, OES Country Champion for France (Photo on next page.)
