The Undisputed Championof All Times! We often play the game of
WHO IS THE GREATEST. We try to identify who is the greatest
in a particular area. For instance, who is the greatest golfer?
Is it Jack Nicklaus, Sam Snead, Ben Hogan or Rory McIlroy? Who is
the greatest in basketball: The Celtics or the Lakers? Who is the
greatest businessman? Some would say John D. Rockefeller or Andrew
Carnegie. Maybe its Bill Gates or Warren Buffett. What about in
art? Some would contend that Leonardo da Vinci is the greatest
artist of all times. But others would appropriately argue that
Michelangelo was even greater. From music to medicine, everyone has
an opinion on who is the greatest.
You could pile up all human greatness into a Mount Everest of
accomplishment. However, that impressive mountain would shrink into
a mole hill of insignificance when compared to the eternal
greatness of JESUS! Gods Word provides us with the transcending
truth in Philippians 2:9-11 where we discover that God has exalted
Jesus Christ and given Him the name which is above every name; that
at the name of Jesus, every knee will bow and every tongue will
confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the
Father.
Be assured, my beloved friends, every tongue that has ever been
created from the beginning of time, will confess that Jesus is
Lord. Some will confess His Lordship in validating joy while others
will confess His supremacy amidst horrific judgment because He is
truly the greatest the undisputed champion that reigns as King of
Kings and Lord of Lords!
So here is our assignment: exalt the name of Jesus with our lips
and with our lives until He comes again or until He calls us
Home!
