1. Purpose:

Instruct how to configure remotely NodeB Nokia, it should be used during

integrating the site or synchronizing the parameters of NodeB after.

2. Scope of application:

This instruction is applied to engineers of BSS team in Technical Department and

all the engineers of Viettel Cameroon have duty of doing NodeB Nokia configuration.

3. Reference documents:

- NED library Nokia document.

4. Content:

4.1. Login to NodeB by 3G BTS Site Manager

Therere 2 ways: i. On window of OMS, right click on NodeB that want to login, choose External

Applications BTS Site manager (This can be done only when OAM of

NodeB has connected to OMS)

ii. Open BTS Site Manager from desktop, input the OAM IP of the NodeB

Input user/pass: Nemuadmin/nemuuser Connect

4.2. Click Commissioning

If the NodeB has not been integrated:

i. Back up the TRS Commissioning file: Choose File Backup Commissioning

Files

ii. In the arising window Backup Commissioning Files, choose only TRS, set

the name of NodeB Save

iii. In Commissioning Type, choose Template Select the Commissioning file

- 1st : choose the TRS file BackupCommissioning__TRS_

yyyymmdd that has just been backup in the last step

- 2nd : choose the BTS file BackupCommissioning_BTS_20140907 the

model file has been backup before and was used to be the template for all

the NodeB

Note: when choose the TRS file, should crosscheck the TRS IP address in the

windoe File details, make sure its correctly with the current NodeB. Unless the NodeB will be disconnected if we input the wrong IP address of other one.

The BTS Commissioning Backup file was made from the original NodeB UCE117

- Name: NodeB name

- Location: The region name of NodeB

- Description:

o 1+1+1 if NodeB has 1 cell/sector

o 2+2+2 if NodeB has 2 cell/sector

- BTS ID: is the WBTS ID has been planned on OMS and OMU

- IP addresses

o TRS: The OAM IP of NodeB (second IP), ex: 10.93.200.82

o BTS: The OAM IP of NodeB (first IP), ex: 10.93.200.81

o RNC: IP OMU of RNC

YARC01: 10.124.200.4

YARC02: 10.124.200.68

YARC03: 10.124.200.132

o NTP server: IP of OMS, is always 10.124.236.120
