ABOUT USKerrvillePhoto.com is a full-service multimedia com-pany based in Kerrville, Texas, specializing in wedding videography, photography, sound reinforcement, and other wedding-related multimedia services.

Aaron Yates is the owner-operator of the firm and also resides in Kerrville, having graduated from Tivy High School and Schreiner University.

Our business was originally founded in 2004 as a sound reinforcement and mobile entertainment company, and in 2007 was transitioned to a wedding videography and multimedia firm. In 2010, wedding photography was added to our list of professional services. Since our beginnings in 2004, Aaron Yates and his team have served in over 100 weddings and countless other events, sports, worship services, theater productions, and more.

Aaron operates his business as a full-time endeavor -- no moonlighting for our crew. He also serves as a freelance photographer for local publications and news agencies such as the Kerrville Daily Times, Hill Coun-try Community Journal, SCENE Magazine, and more. Aaron works with dozens of Kerrville-area businesses, community non-governmental agencies, non-profit groups, and local government agencies providing pho-tography, videography, and multimedia consulting.

Modern wedding videography consists of much more than just a static shot of your ceremony or reception taken from the back of the church. Our wedding videos are produced using the most technologically advanced gear, multiple camera angles, creative shots, and cinematic production values. By approaching your wedding day as a cinematic event, we will produce a beautiful, emotional film including all of your day’s special moments.

Our theory of wedding vide-ography is that a video should serve two purpos-es: 1.) To docu-ment the events of the day in an uninterrupted, chronological style, and 2.) Pro-vide a cinematic, entertaining, emotional journey through the wedding day.

We accomplish both goals by employing multiple vid-eographers that each work in different ways through-out the day. Our final deliverables include a wedding “trailer,” or highlight package, and a full-featured wed-ding day film. To create both of these deliverables, we shoot in a “documentary” style as well as a “cinematic” style simultaneously throughout most of your wedding day.

Because of the expensive equipment employed, the trained and experienced employees we use, and the 40+ hours of labor involved in post-production and editing, wedding videography is not inexpensive. Despite the cost, surveys show that 98 percent of newlyweds highly recommend hiring a professional videographer.

While videog-raphy will never replace photog-raphy -- both are very valuable -- videography does capture moments and events that photography cannot. Toasts, speeches, vows, dances, laugh-ter... These are moments when

video shines.

1. You won’t remember your wedding day. The day will be a blur of activity and emotions -- a 16 hour sprint from one activity to the next. Brides and grooms often tell us that they had completely forgotten about some moments of the wedding until they saw their video. This is one of the most important days of your life... You will want to remember it!

2. Sights AND Sounds! Images only tell part of the story. Audio and movement are the missing pieces that photography cannot capture. Music, speeches, vows, laughter... these are very important parts of your wed-ding day that you will cherish forever by incorporating videography.

3. Uncle Bob means well, but he isn’t up to the chal-lenge. We often hear from brides who chose to have a family member “tape” the wedding. While this may be seen as a cheaper option, remember how much stress Bob will be under -- will he get to enjoy the wedding at all? Also, Bob, as good as his intentions are, is not equipped to capture a fast-paced, complicated live event like a wedding. The reason we have so much equipment is because it’s not easy to film a wedding with a high level of quality. We think you should let Bob enjoy the wedding and leave the video to the pros.

4. No “Do-Overs.” The wedding comes and the wed-ding goes. All that’s left at the end of the day is a dress that you’ll never get to wear again, expiring flowers, and photo and video memories. This is a once-in-a-lifetime event that cannot be repeated. Please don’t let cost be the reason you decide against videography. If cost is a factor, ask about our payment plans, but please don’t give up this only chance to chronicle your new family history.

5. This is the millennium of video. People love video. The technology exists to capture this moment in high definition, cinematically, to share with your future family now and forevermore. What would you pay to have a Blu-Ray disc of your parents’ wedding? Your grandparents’ wedding? How would you like to share your wedding film with your children and grandchil-

The modern wedding includes a full day of activities like bridal brunches, groom’s adventures, decorating, pre-wedding traditions, ceremony, post-ceremony pic-tures, cocktail hours, dinners, and traditional reception fun such as grand entrances, grand marches, dances, toasts, cake cutting, bouquet toss, garter toss, grand send-offs, and so much more. For the all-day wedding event, the Deluxe package is the only package that can capture all of these once-in-a-lifetime memories.

In addition to the Premier offerings such as wedding trailer, DVDs, and Blu-Ray discs, the Deluxe includes up to 12 hours of wedding day coverage with four videographers, the “Diapers to Diamonds” photo slide-show to share at the reception or rehearsal dinner, and the engagement interviews with the bride and groom. For those that have planned for a truly memorable wedding weekend, the Deluxe package promises to memorialize every moment.

PREMIER VIDEO PACKAGE

The Premier video package is our most popular wed-ding videography package. Contemporary weddings are events that are enjoyed for more than just a few hours -- they’re all day affairs! The Premiere package records up to nine hours of those festivities for you to enjoy with friends and family for years to come.

We provide three videographers shooting all day with (at least) three high definition cameras, cam-era support equipment, wireless audio systems, and more tricks of the trade to make sure not a moment is missed.

The wedding footage is edited into a short 5-minute “wedding highlight” film, a.k.a. “wedding trailer” and is uploaded to our video hosting site for your enjoy-ment and to share with friends and family. The full length feature is also provided on beautiful, full-color packaged DVDs (or Blu-Ray discs) that include Hol-lywood-style cases, custom color jackets, inserts, and disc faces.

TRADITIONAL VIDEO PACKAGE

Our Traditional Package for videography services is an option for budget-conscious couples that still want a high quality video production, but at a more affordable price.

This package includes coverage of the pre-ceremo-ny festivities, the ceremony, and reception, but total coverage is reduced to just six hours. To accommodate this abbreviated schedule, it’s recommended that you schedule all important activities early on during the reception to be sure that they’re captured on film. Also, our editing and post-production hours are reduced slightly to save you additional monies.

The wedding day footage is edited into a short 5-min-ute “wedding highlight” film, a.k.a. “wedding trailer” and is uploaded to our video hosting site for your enjoyment and to share with friends and family.

CEREMONY-ONLY VIDEO PACKAGE

Some clients do not need a full day of coverage for their wedding, because many weddings today consist mainly of a very special ceremony. Other clients simply cannot afford to hire a videographer for the entire day and wish to memorialize their walk down the aisle, the vows, and the wisdom conveyed by the officiant.

The ceremony-only package is designed for those customers and is also priced so that a friend or family member can give videography services as a gift to the bride and groom who couldn’t budget for it on their own.

The ceremony-only package includes two videog-raphers filming the entire ceremony with two high definition cameras and wireless audio equipment. Five copies of a feature-length DVD of the ceremony are provided in full-color packaging that include Hol-lywood-style cases, disc prints, inserts, and custom jackets. All materials will be delivered within 30 days of your wedding date.

The cost for this package is $950.

LIVE STREAM YOUR WEDDING

Thanks to the wonders of modern technology, if your venue has internet access, we can live stream your wed-ding ceremony and/or reception to the entire world!

Do you have family that can’t attend the wedding? Overflow that won’t allow all guests to be inside the church? Or is your wedding just so spectacular that it should be shared with the world?

If the answer to any of these questions is “yes,” then you should perhaps consider a live internet stream of your wedding.

Using our professional-grade cameras and production studio software, we can live stream your event from almost any location. Using multiple cameras, audio feeds, beautiful graphics and effects, and any combina-tion of other bells and whistles you like, we can make your proceedings available to view live on YouTube, ustream.tv, livestream.com, or any number of other hosts.

The streaming service is free, and you are only charged for the extra labor and production costs that we incur for setup and testing. We ask that we have access to your facility a day or two in advance for planning and testing.

“A LA CARTE” ADDITIONS

Diapers to Diamonds Photo Slideshow

The “Diapers to Diamonds” slideshow is a presentation built for sharing at your rehearsal dinner and/or wed-ding reception. We scan your old family photos, add your digital photos, and create a fun, emotional time-line of your childhood years all the way through your engagement -- for both the bride and groom.

The photos are set to music and can include captions, graphics, and motion titles.

This slideshow can be anywhere from five minutes to one hour and can in-clude as many as several hundred images -- either printed or digital.

Starting at just $150, this photo montage can be enjoyed over and over for generations to come.

Engagement Interviews

You’ve seen the old-time classic Newlyweds Show, right? Or at least you’ve seen the outtakes on YouTube. If you haven’t Google that first and then come back to us. We’ll wait.

Our engagement interviews are a variation on the theme of that show. We talk to the B&G, separately at first, and then together, and ask them all about their childhood, their young adult years, their families, how they met, the engagement, and other questions that come up during our banter. We then edit their answers together with often hilarious results.

This interview and final production is not meant to embarrass or make fun of anyone. On the contrary, the reaction from family and friends is often very emotional and moving. Not only do we get to watch a humorous banter between the B&G, but for many relatives and friends, this will be the first time they’ve

gotten to know the new husband or wife.

Share this video at your rehearsal dinner and/or recep-tion as well as on YouTube and Facebook. Your family will get to know your special someone a little bit more, learn one or two new things about you, and you’ll have yet another treasured memory to pass on to your children and grandchildren. Watch it years later to re-member what it felt like to be newly in love and excited about the possibilities of this new marriage.

The edited interview usually runs around 5-10 minutes in length, and the unedited version is also available

as bonus content on the DVD deliverable.

The price for Engage-ment Interview as an a la carte item starts at $400.

Wedding Trailer

The wedding day trailer is included in most of our packages, but it deserves a little more explanation. By far, this is the most popular of all of our

deliverables thanks to its “viral” quality and ease with which it can be shared with and enjoyed with family and friends.

The trailer is a short film that is usually set to a very special song -- many couples choose their first dance song as the background music. The edited video is usually between 4 and 8 minutes in length, depending on the song and the actual content used in the video. Edited with special effects, interesting transitions, unique camera angles and techniques, this film is a creative endeavor that we know you will love to watch again and again. Many of your favorite wedding day moments are included, and when these memories are mixed with a song that is very special to you, it’s sure to bring tears to your eyes.

WEDDING TRAILER MUSIC

If you’ve ever uploaded your own content to video sharing sites such as YouTube or Vimeo, you are very familiar with the “copyright police.” Public sites like YouTube have to comply with the Digital Milenium Copyright Act, or DMCA. No longer can one upload copyrighted music and expect the video to live on; these days all music used online must be licensed.

How does this affect your wedding video? One of our most popular offerings, the Wedding Trailer, as we call it, is traditionally set to a song that is meaningful to our clients. In the past, we used popular music by artists like Keith Urban, Van Morrison, Coldplay, etc. That is no longer possible.

These days, our clients must either accept the music that we choose for their wedding trailer, or choose for them-selves from approved mu-sic licensing sites like The Music Bed.

Also, a small fee has been added to our wedding pack-ages to pay for the music licensing. The cost is usually somewhere around $50. Don’t worry, this is part of your package price and won’t be added on as a surprise on your bill.

But we can no longer allow brides and grooms to pick from any song that’s ever been made. To make sure our business is safe from prosecution or civil judgments, we must only use music that we have a license to use.

How does this affect your wedding DVD or BluRay?Once we license a song for use on your wedding project, we can use it on both the trailer and on the final deliverables including the full-length edit. So no worries there.

How to Choose a Song

See the list below for acceptable music sources. You will find scores of different types of music -- everything from epic cinematic offerings to smooth jazz to sooth-ing romantic pieces. Most of the sites are organized by genre, mood, instrumentation, tempo, etc.

When choosing a song for your wedding trailer, be sure to look for something that is timeless. You will have this video for the rest of your married lives! Be sure it’s something you can live with for a long time.

Also, note that the tempo and mood of the music will drive the editing style. A fast, upbeat song will call for a faster edit with short-er clips and a fun mood. A slower, romantic song will call for slow motion, longer clips, and a more romantic feel.We will be happy to help you choose and to make song suggestions for you!

When choosing a wedding photographer, it’s very important that you appreciate and value the photogra-pher’s style. There are different types of wedding pho-tography: traditional, modern, edgy, photo-journal-istic, classic, and everywhere in between. Be sure that you’ve browsed the photographer’s recent full wedding albums so that you know what type of images to expect from the artist you select.

Too often, wedding photographers are chosen based on price alone, with only a handful of public images available for the client to peruse. We want all of our cli-ents to be completely confident that our style matches their own, and we want them to see FULL albums that we’ve created in the past. We don’t cherry pick the best of the best and only allow you to see those. We want you to see how well we do in every possible condition -- indoor weddings, outdoor weddings, night time weddings, weddings under a tent, weddings in small homes or chapels, dark receptions, bright receptions, sparkler exits, birdseed exits, and everything else in between.

If you choose a photographer without seeing a full wedding album, you might be headed for a disaster.

Once you are satisfied that the wedding photographer’s style matches your own after viewing the galleries, be sure to ask questions. What is your approach to being

discreet? How do you shoot the posed formals? Will we have time to shoot some post-wedding couple shots? Make sure you are comfortable with all of the responses. Make sure this person is someone you enjoy being around -- because you’re going to be together all day on one of the most important days of your life!

Our Style

Our style of photography is described by others as classic with a twist, or traditional with an edge. We produce images with true to life vivid colors. We cap-ture all of the details of the day but we are generally told that the guests don’t really notice our presence. We shoot everything in a very tasteful way without being overly intrusive into your day. We tend to be somewhat photo-journalistic, in that we enjoy taking un-posed, candid photographs to record the day as it happens -- not direct the action.

Our People

Aaron Yates has been shooting weddings since 2007 and has participated in over 150 weddings -- although not only as the photographer. He’s also worked as a videographer, DJ, and planner support staff. We feel that this gives us an edge over our competition, be-cause we know all of the work that goes into producing

a successful wedding, and we’ve done most of the jobs that happen on the wedding day. Therefore we work very well with others, and we understand that it takes a full team of cooperating contractors to make your wedding day a complete success.

Our Delivery

All of our photog-raphy packages include digital copies of all of your wedding day photos along with a license for personal use. What does this mean? This is THE big-gest difference between our packages and those of our competitors. While many photographers charge a hefty additional fee for the digital files and usage rights, we believe you NEED digital copies for many reasons... After all, we live in the digital age!

In addition to the digital copies, all of our packages in-clude some sort of wedding album design. A wedding album is a coffee table style book with heavy, glossy pages, telling the story of your wedding day visually.

Only our Platinum photo package includes the actual binding and printing service. For the other packages, we’ve left you the flexibility to either save your album

design for printing later -- maybe after a few months of recovering financially from the wedding. You also have the option of printing in various styles, some cheaper and some more expensive. We’re leaving you the flexi-bility to help design your own deliverable and make it memorable for YOU!

All of our digital deliverables are ready in less than a month following your wedding day. In most cases, it’s much faster than that. The wedding album takes a little longer, because we want to get it just right for you.

Generally the album design is presented 60 days following your wedding. For our Platinum custom-ers, we give you a chance to make revisions to that design, and then we’ll send it to the printers. For the other packages, we’ll send you cost and printing options when we send the initial design for consid-eration.

PLATINUM PHOTO PACKAGE

The Platinum photography package is our most com-prehensive package available. It includes three photog-raphers (plus any necessary assistants) working all day to capture each and every moment of your wedding day. The package includes up to eight hours of cover-age plus additional hours available for an additional fee.

A wedding album of at least 50 pages is provided INCLUDING binding and printing using our custom album process. The is the only package that includes binding and printing of the album -- the others include design-only.

Low cost prints are available following your wedding and you will receive all of your images on DVD with a license to use them as you wish (see terms for specific license agreement).

Back by popular demand, we now offer wedding pho-tography priced on an hourly basis. Our workflow is slightly different for our hourly services, so please be sure to note those variations from the other packages on our menu.

Hourly services are priced at $250 per hour plus $0.90 per mile travel outside of Kerrville.

The main difference in hourly rates versus the other packages is that we do not provide the disc with the images and personal use license. All of the images will be presented electronically through a public or private web gallery, and prints must be purchased through this gallery system.

This type of service is the perfect choice for those that may not be able to budget for the larger packages, but still want excellent quality photo coverage.

Because we offer both photo and video services, clients often ask us to provide a package with photo and video coverage. Unfortunately, to continue to provide the highest quality services, we can no longer provide pho-to and video wedding coverage on the wedding day.

We are committed to the highest quality services pos-sible, and splitting our time between photo and video coverage will compromise both services.

WEDDING CEREMONY SOUND

These days, more and more weddings are being held outside of the traditional church setting. Some of these ceremony venues are really just beautiful spots within a ranch or wedding venue property, and many of these locations are not outfitted with PA systems or sound reinforcement of any kind. In these cases, we offer Cer-emony Sound packages that include:• 2 PA speakers on stands• Wired and wireless microphones for officiant,

groom, musicians, etc.• Recorded music playback for things like prelude

music, processional, and recessional• Audio recording to be used along with a video

package, or a standalone sound recording

Pricing

Standard Package: $250 + travel

Ceremony sound services start at $250 for the package described above. Travel outside of the Kerrville area will add approximately $1 per mile billed both ways.

How It Works

When you order ceremony sound services, our audio engineers arrive a couple of hours before the wedding and begin running electricity and audio cables. Our emphasis is on discretion -- that is, we hide all of the cables and equipment as best we can so that none of it shows up in your photos or videos.

A few minutes before the wedding, the technician will place a wireless lapel microphone on the officiant and the groom. This small mic and wire will be placed dis-creetly so that it doesn’t distract in the photos.

If prelude or ceremony music is desired, the technician will work with your wedding planner to make sure the right songs get played at the right time.

Following the ceremony, we can stay around and play some postlude music, and after that, we’ll pack up and be on our way.

ADDITIONAL SOUND RENTAL OPTIONS

We have a plethora of audio equipment available for rent for your wedding, rehearsal, or reception. Every-thing from microphones to PA speakers to mixers to live band equipment is available for a pure rental or for rental plus technician services.

Some of our most common rental scenarios are de-scribed below, but if you require additional infor-mation or a custom package, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Standard PA System Rental - $250 per day

Includes:• 2 PA Speakers on Stands• 1 handheld wireless microphone• 1 wireless lapel microphone• Mixer with multiple channels for inputs• All cables and extras that you might need

When you add technician services, you have at least one qualified engineer on-hand for the duration of the rental to handle setup, testing, operation, breakdown, and transportation. Ideal for those among us who would describe themselves as “not tech savvy.”

Audio Technician Services - $50 per hour

Includes:• 1-2 engineers on-hand for duration of rental• Setup• Testing• Operation of equipment• Breakdown• Transportation

VIDEO SCREENS AND PROJECTION

So you have a slideshow, a video, or something else you want to play for your guests at the rehearsal or recep-tion? You want to simulcast your wedding onto multi-ple screens? Or is the big football game happening the same day as your wedding ceremony? If the answer is yes, you may be interested in renting our large screen televisions or projectors and screens.

We have two 60” plasma televisions, two HD projec-tors, and two large portable projection screens avail-able for rent. Combine this rental with your audio rental items for a discount on the total.

10’ Projection Screen...............................$35 per day

Consider adding these services as part of a rental pack-age that includes live streaming or video production. Or add a technician to oversee the operation of the equipment for $50 per hour.
