Summer Fun Starts Here

With 90 years of rich tradition YMCA Camp Pinewood is an outstanding opportunity for your child to make new friends, learn cooperation and independence and try new activities all while focusing on the values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility in a safe and encouraging environment.

Located in Twin Lake, Michigan, Camp Pinewood has 200 acres of land nestled into the southern edge of the Manistee National Forest. Our 40 acre spring- fed lake is a place where campers can enjoy fishing, swimming and boating.

Traditional CampCampers get the full summer camp experience packed with new activities in a fun, safe and supportive camp environment that is rich with tradition. Campers can choose to stay one week, two weeks or even more. Traditional camp is for campers entering grades 1st through 10th.

Rangers Get the full camp experience in our four-day three-night program for campers 5-7 years old. The Rangers program is all the fun and excitement of traditional camp but without the commitment. Return bus not available.

Stayover Does your child want to stay for more than one session? Let them stayover with us! Offered between sessions and includes laundry service, an off camp trip and time to unwind while still having tons of fun!

Traditional Camp Canoe Trip This is designed for our adventurous campers who really love canoeing and want to get our on the beautiful rivers of Western Michigan. This program is open to all traditional camp campers.

A CAMP FOREVERYONE

Session 2A, 3A & Rangers Pick-Up DayFor those sessions campers must get picked up at camp. Campers can then show parents around camp and they can visit the camp store one last time before they leave.

TEEN PROGRAMSPioneer UnitThis two-week wilderness immersion program is perfect for older campers who have done traditional camp and are looking for a new and fun experience with the same Camp Pinewood traditions. Campers live in tents and explore the beautiful Western Michigan wilderness. This program is for campers who will be entering grades 8-11. Pioneer Unit is offered Session 2 and 3

Leader-in-TrainingThis two week leadership program helps our teen campers build confidence and communication with fun, hands-on and team-focused activities. Campers will receive credit for 10-16 service hours upon completion of the program. LIT is offered only during Session 4

Counselor-in-Training 1 and 2 This program is perfect for teens ready to learn the responsibilities of becoming a counselor at Camp Pinewood. Trainings focus on leadership, facilitation, service and counselor skills. CIT 1 is for campers entering 11th or 12th grade. CIT 2 is only for campers entering 12th grade.
