The West Bloomfield Parks and Recreation Commission (WBPRC)

seeks to provide a valuable return to our sponsors in terms of

exposure and advertising, while finding new funding sources to

build upon programs and services to our community.

There are many opportunities for businesses to support the vision

and work of the WBPRC which can be scaled to accommodate nearly

every marketing budget. Our sponsorships provide companies and

organizations an opportunity to achieve a high degree of visibility

within the local community through customized programs that fit

your specific needs.

Community Wide EventsThese events are free to the community and have broad-reaching appeal. They garner the highest attendance and provide the maximum exposure for our sponsors.

Oak: $5,000 ($6,000 in-kind)

Maple: $2,500 ($3,000 in-kind)

Hickory: $1,000 ($1,200 in-kind)

Specialty EventsThese events typically have an entry fee and are more tailored to a specific interest. These are great events to reach specific population targets within the local community for a great value.

Oak: $1,000 ($1,200 in-kind)

Maple: $500 ($600 in-kind)

Hickory: $250 ($300 in-kind)

community Wide eventS

Hot Summer Nights Concert SeriesFive concerts presented on Wednesday evenings, mid-July to mid-August at the newly renovated Marshbank Park.

Audience: 100-300 people per concert

Deadline for inclusion in marketing materials and program brochure is March 6, 2015.

Kids Komotion Concert SeriesThree entertainment productions for kids. Music, magic, and puppetry are just a few of the genres presented on one morning a month during June, July and August.

Audience: 100-300 people per concert

Deadline for inclusion in marketing materials and program brochure is March 6, 2015.

Fall Fest Crafts, carnival games, bouncers, a petting farm and live entertainment make this a fall celebration for kids and parents alike.

Audience: 900-1,300 people

Deadline for inclusion in marketing materials and program brochure is July 6, 2015.

Winter Fest This outdoor event features family fun activities such as sled racing, snowman building, s’more making, frozen bowling and more!

Audience: 900-1,300 people

Specialty eventS

Daddy Daughter Dance (February 2016)This popular annual event is hosted at the beautiful Glen Oaks Golf Course. It features an upscale buffet and an evening of dancing for young ladies and their favorite guy.

Audience: 225-275 people

Spring Fling Egg Hunt & Flashlight Hunt (March 2016)Kids make a mad dash from the starting line to find eggs filled with candy and toys. This event features two sessions, one for the youngest hunters and a flashlight session for the older ones. This popular event typically sells out.

Audience: 800-1000 people

Senior Holiday Parties (varies)Throughout the year, the WBPRC hosts holiday-themed parties for area seniors. For a nominal fee, participants receive a gormet meal while enjoying live entertainment. The Hickory level sponsorship secures one event, Oak level covers two events and Maple level secures four events which can be spread across multiple years. Only one sponsor per party.

Audience: 50-80 people per party

Outdoor Pool Parties (four parties between June-August)Summer pool parties at the Family Aquatic Center include an opening celebration in the beginning of June as well as an additional party each month (June-August). Includes games, prizes, food and music for pool patrons. Sponsorship covers all four parties.

Audience: 250-300 people per party

Dogs Only Swim (August 2015)The dogs take over the outdoor pool on the last day of the swim season. Sessions are broken down by weight class and last 30 minutes each.

Audience: 80-120 people

Camp Out (September 2015)Families set up tents in Marshbank Park and enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including hayrides, archery, fishing, s’more making, crafts and more!

Audience: 250-350 people

Deadline for inclusion in marketing materials and program brochure is July 6, 2015.

Trick or Treat Trail (October 2015)Children dress up and trick or treat on a safe, 1/2 mile paved trail inside Marshbank Park. Costumed characters, local businesses and organizations hand out goodies. The vendor cost is $25 and doesn’t include any marketing exposure outside of the event.

Audience: 600-1000 people

Senior Health and Fitness Expo (October 2015)This free event gives seniors the opportunity to listen to the experts talk about a variety of health related issues and fitness activities. Seniors visit with vendors between speakers. All sponsors must be approved by the hosting sponsor, Henry Ford West Bloomfield. The vendor cost is $75 and doesn’t include any marketing exposure outside of the event.

Audience: 80-120 people

Spring/Summer Softball LeagueThe spring/summer softball league plays three nights per week at Drake Sports Park and Community Sports Park starting in April and ending in July. There are approximately 30 teams total.

Fall Softball LeagueThe fall softball league plays two nights per week at Drake Sports Park starting in April and ending in July. There are approximately 20 teams total.

Spring Bubble Soccer League The spring bubble soccer league plays two nights per week at Drake Sports Park starting in April and ending in June. There are approximately 18 teams total.

Fall Bubble Soccer LeagueThe fall bubble soccer league plays two nights per week at Drake Sports Park starting in September and ending in October. There are approximately 10 teams total.

Cost: $3,000 annually, only one sponsor per year

Deadline for inclusion in marketing materials and program brochure is March 6, 2015.

Audience: 800-1200 (not counting youth leagues or general public using the park)

The sponsor will receive:• 4 x 8 foot banner to display at Drake Sports Park April through October

• Business/organization’s name on all awards merchandise and trophies

• Opportunity to speak to leagues and/or set up displays on league nights

• Half page ad in summer program brochure

• Name on all promotional materials and league collateral (standings, schedule, etc.)
