OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE 2015 TUESDAY 12TH AUGUST I FSC CLIMBING WORLD CUP MUNICH 2015: THE IFSC WORLD CUP BOULDERING SERIES 2015 WRAPS UP IN MUNICH, GERMANY, ON AUGUST 14-15, 2015 Nearly two months after the last IFSC Bouldering World Cup in Haiyang (CHN), the world’s best boulderers are back and ready to contend in the last IFSC Bouldering World Cup of the season in Munich! The competition will take place in the city’s Olympic stadium, which hosted the Bouldering World Championship last year. The venue is well known for its phenomenal atmosphere, and the Bouldering season’s grand finale is shaping up to be both festive and full of fearsome competition! A suspenseful grand finale The men’s provisional ranking in Bouldering is too close to call, and anyone in the top 5 can take gold in Munich and win the title. Jongwon Chon of Korea currently leads the bouldering ranking, but Adam Ondra (CZE) and Jan Hojer (GER) are only a few points behind. Jan Hojer will want to do well in front of his home crowd, especially after his disappointing 3rd place at the Bouldering World Championship last year, while Adam Ondra will try to recreate his success of last year when he became the Bouldering World Champion in Munich. In the women’s event, it seems like nothing can stop Akiyo Noguchi from winning the bouldering ranking. She has taken a clear lead over her rivals, who are more than a hundred points behind, and the other women will compete for the silver and bronze medals. Great live aerial imaging with DJI IFSC has partnered with DJI, the global leader in innovative camera technology, to provide high quality and unprecedented aerial footage of the competition.
