Terriers Tabbed For Three-peat Two-me defending Patriot League women’s soccer champion Boston University was tabbed as the preseason favorite in 2015 in a vote of League coaches and SIDs. The Terriers received 11 first-place votes and tallied 155 points, just ahead of last year’s regular-season champion, Colgate, with 147 points and seven first-place votes. Navy received the remaining two first- place votes to take third with 135 points followed by Army West Point (103), Bucknell (92), Loyola Maryland (76), Lehigh (70), Holy Cross (64), Lafayee (35), and American (23). Colgate Boasts Four on Preseason All-League Team The top two teams also had the individual award winners as Colgate junior forward Sarah Coy was named Patriot League Preseason Offensive Player of the Year and Boston University senior defender McKenzie Hollenbaugh was selected as the League’s Preseason Defensive Player of the Year. Joining the pair on the Preseason All-Patriot League Team were Boston University senior Jenna Fisher, Army West Point senior Kae Holder and Holy Cross sophomore Aly Spencer along with Coy at forward, Colgate senior Jenna Panepinto, Bucknell senior Maddie Loos and Navy sophomore Meghan Hegarty in the mid- field, Colgate senior Lexi Panepinto and Navy senior Lexi Rickes along with Hollenbaugh as defenders and Colgate junior Brenna Mason at the goalkeeper posion. Patriot League Women’s Soccer 25th Anniversary Team The Patriot League Women’s Soccer 25th Anniversary Team is represented by former players from eight schools who par- cipated in the Patriot League, including seven from Colgate and six from Navy.
