Monday 11th today we meet our local Blue badge guide Tom Keating for our full day tour of Northumberland’s HeritageCoastline, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It also has a special place in the development of Christianity on thebeautiful Holy Island of Lindisfarne, you will have time here to explore the village and harbour and enjoy the spectacular coastalviews. Travelling the heritage Coastline we pass through locations such as Bamburgh and Seahouses and many of the little coastal

villages and small towns including Craster, Alnmouth, Warkworth and Amble. Tuesday 12th free day in Hexham – enjoy theatmosphere of market day and take time to explore the beautiful Abbey and its new visitor centre. Wednesday 13th we visit the

multi award winning Beamish, the Living Museum of the North, where life in the region in 1825 and 1913 is depicted, with recentadditions of the 1940’s era. Attractions include restored tram and replica bus rides, authentic town street, colliery village, a mine,old fashioned sweet shop, working farm, steam locomotives and much more. Thursday 14th today we visit the largest man madereservoir in the country set amidst the largest man made forest in Northern Europe and enjoy the spectacular scenery of the

North Tyne Valley, via the villages of Wark and Bellingham, to Kielder Water & Forest Park. The visitor centre at Tower Knowe has adisplay of area history and the making of Kielder Water. We enjoy a lake cruise on “Osprey” to Leaplish Waterside Park where after

lunch we see a flight display by Kielder Water Birds of Prey. We then continue across the truly beautiful wild countryside ofRedesdale as we make for Otterburn and a visit to its historic mill, shop and cafe� , before returning to Hexham. Friday 15th this

morning we again meet our guide Tom Keating, en-route to the city of Newcastle we learn how the Romans built their NorthernFrontier of Hadrian’s Wall. On arrival into the city we discover just what puts this destination into the world class bracket,

including world class arts facilities, history and architecture, shopping and events. As we tour the city you can look forward to thefamous panoramas of the iconic seven bridges over the River Tyne, including the wonderful Gateshead Millennium Bridge. Our

return to Hexham is via the North Pennines and the village of Blanchland, one of Northumbria’s hidden gems

One morning we visit Compton Acres, one of the finest privately owned gardens in the south. Built in1924 it is a wonderful example of a historic garden in the UK. It is of late Victorian mixed style designwith seven distinct gardens to wander around and enjoy, including the famous Italian and JapaneseGardens. Another day will take you to the lovely historic city of Salisbury, we visit the magnificent

cathedral with England’s tallest spire and include a tour taking in the new Magna Carta Experience. TheCathedral possesses what is, perhaps, the best preserved of the four remaining original documents and in2009, the remaining four copies were entered into the UNESCO Memory of the World Register, the list ofthe world’s most important documents. We travel through the scenic New Forest on another day to visitBeaulieu Estate, home to the world famous National Motor Museum. Also included is entrance to PalaceHouse and Gardens, the 13th century Abbey and Monastic Life exhibition. We travel to Poole Harbour onanother morning for a boat trip along the splendid Dorset Heritage Coast to the resort of Swanage, you

then have free time to spend in this lovely Victorian seaside town.

One day we travel to the Georgian market town of Holt, where we board a steam train on the NorthNorfolk ‘Poppy Line’ Railway to Sheringham, there is then free time to explore this seaside town at

leisure. Another day takes us to historic Norwich, capital of East Anglia, it is said to be the most completemedieval city in Britain with over 1,500 historic listed buildings, two cathedrals, an imposing Normancastle and is famed as the home of Colman’s Mustard, with its own shop and museum to explore. Wetravel to Blickling Estate (NT) on another day, nobody ever forgets their first sight of Blickling. The

turreted red brick Jacobean mansion and cherished yew hedges sit at the heart of a beautiful garden, witha serene lake and 500 acre historic park. Widely accepted to be the birthplace of Anne Boleyn, stories ofthe estate’s complex family history are many and varied, and include tales of king’s mistresses, political

intrigue, and social ambition. Finally on another day we travel to Wroxham from where we board our boatfor a relaxing scenic cruise on the Norfolk Broads. We then spend some time in Wroxham before arriving

at Wroxham Barns one of the finest collections of traditional and contemporary crafts in East Anglia.

Cromer Beach

One morning we travel to the heart of the beautiful Roseland Peninsula and visit Poppy Cottage Garden alovely private garden that covers about one acre. This afternoon we spend atleisure in the cathedral city of Truro. Another morning we visit Geevor Tin Mine, closed as a working minein 1990 it is now a preserved mining site & museum dramatically situated on Cornwall’s Atlantic coast.Explore the many surface buildings with their magnificent mining machinery, get interactive in the HardRock museum and go underground into 19th century Wheal Mexico mine! We continue on to the prettytown of St.Ives for the afternoon. Another day we travel to the North Atlantic coast of Cornwall to spendsome time in ‘Newquay’, one of the nation’s favourite seaside towns, bordered by 7 miles of gloriousgolden sandy beaches. We then head up the coast and visit the picturesque fishing village of Padstow.

One afternoon we visit interesting Walmer Castle & Gardens, originally built during the reign of HenryVIII and once the residence of the Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports, there are various gardens to explore,

including the Queen Mother’s Garden. Another day we visit the Historic Dockyard at Chatham andinclude a ‘Call the Midwife’ tour led by the dockyard’s very own ‘Midwife’, we visit areas which havebeen used as locations for many of the scenes in the popular TV series. The afternoon is free for you to

explore the dockyard where you will discover over 400years of maritime history. We visit historicCanterbury on another day where you are free to explore this small atmospheric city at leisure. Finally onanother day we visit Sissinghurst Gardens (NT), one of the world’s most celebrated gardens which wasthe creation of Vita Sackville-West and her husband Sir Harold Nicholson, it has an intimate and romantic

atmosphere with an array of colour throughout the seasons.

Hythe

The quaint historictown of Hythe issituated three milesfrom Folkestone onthe Kent coast, it has amaze of old streetsthat are crammed witha variety of specialityshops and antiquemarkets, and retains anair of relaxed andunspoilt charm. TheRoyal Military Canalbuilt as a defenceagainst Napoleon isnow a prettywaterway, whichmeanders through thetown. With over twomiles of beach Hytheis a lovely base toexplore the south eastof England.

We return to Llandudno via the delightful village of Betws-y-Coed. We enjoy anotherday in historic Chester where you are free to roam at leisure, make time to see the Cathedral, perhaps

take a gentle stroll around the most complete City Walls in Britain or enjoy a relaxing river cruise. Anotherday we cross the Menai Straits to the Isle of Anglesey, we enjoy a guided tour to include Holy Island,

Trearddur Bay, RSPB lookout Holyhead, Beaumaris and Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens. Finally we enjoy ahalf day visit to the Bodnant Welsh Food Centre we see a cookery demonstration with celebrity chef ‘Dai

Sunday 2nd a visit to the impressive cotton mill village of New Lanark, which is now a beautifully restored UNESCO WorldHeritage Site. We discover the fascinating history of the village and the life and times of the mill manager Robert Owen.

Monday 3rd today we experience the vibrant city of Glasgow with a guided tour, we include the ancient gothic cathedral,Glasgow green - the oldest of Glasgow’s more than 90 public parks, “Glas go” means dear or sweet green place, with its

magnificent Doulton fountain. We will see Glasgow university the fourth oldest in the English speaking world and visit themagnificent Kelvingrove art gallery and museum. There will be time for some lunch and the opportunity to visit Glasgow’sbotanic gardens with The National Collection of Dendrobium Orchids. We will also see some of the stadia used during the2014 Commonwealth Games of which Glasgow was the proud host. Tuesday 4th we travel to Falkirk this morning for a

fascinating ride on the unique Falkirk Wheel, an amazing feat of engineering and the world’s first and only rotating boatlift. Itwas built to re-connect two historic canals, the Forth & Clyde Canal to the Union Canal, which lays 35metres above. We thenvisit Callendar House one of Scotland’s finest baronial mansions, built in the style of a French Chateau. The working GeorgianKitchen features costumed interpreters and the house itself has connections to great historical figures such as Mary Queen ofScots, Oliver Cromwell and Bonnie Prince Charlie. Within the house is the Park Gallery which hosts contemporary exhibitions.Finally today we visit “The Kelpies” and see the world’s largest equine sculptures up close on a guided tour. Wednesday 5th afull day excursion to the beautiful city of Edinburgh, we first board the Royal Yacht Britannia where we discover what life waslike on board the former Yacht of the Royal Family. Experience the fabulous State Apartments and Royal Bedrooms, the relaxingsun lounge, life below decks and the gleaming engine room. The afternoon is free to explore this historic capital city with itsimposing Castle, Royal Mile, Princess Street and the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the official Scottish residence of the Queen.

Thursday 6th Free Day.

One morning we travel to Exmouth where we include a leisurely river cruise. The Exe is a feeding groundfor seals so keep a watchful eye open as we sail through the calm sheltered waters of the Exe. The

afternoon is free to enjoy the lovely resort of Exmouth. Another day we first visit Pecorama, a fascinatingattraction where you can explore its model railway exhibition, ride the light railway and wander throughthe Celebration Gardens. We continue the short distance to spend the afternoon in the small seaside

resort of Seaton which lies in an area of outstanding natural beauty where the Axe Valley meets the sea.On our route home on Sunday we will visit Killerton (NT). Killerton is a beautiful estate covering over6000 acres, at its heart is an elegant 18th century country house depicting the way of life in a country

house between the first and second World Wars.

Tuesday 8th – Exploring Belfast & Titanic.After breakfast we join a guided coach tour of the city which will encompass thefour quarters of Belfast and feature many of the highlights including City Hall, Queens University, the Opera House and the

Botanic Gardens. After a break to allow time for lunch, the tour will continue with a trip to the Titanic Belfast Visitor Centre, a“must see” for any visitor to Belfast. Wednesday 9th – Antrim Coast & Giant’s Causeway. The Antrim Coast Road isconsidered one of the most rewarding ocean drives, offering unspoilt views of the Irish Sea and the Glens of Antrim. We

continue along the A2 via Cushendall and the National Trust village of Cushendun, then up to the World- Heritage listed GiantsCauseway, a series of volcanic stone columns surrounded by beautiful coastal scenery. Learn more about this astounding

attraction at the new visitor centre including the romantic legend of giant Finn McCool who laid down the causeway as a pathacross the sea to his lady-love in Scotland. Thursday 10th – Ards Peninsula, Mount Stuart & County Down. Winding roads,small fields, and white cottages create a landscape in miniature along the Ards Peninsula. We enjoy a visit to Mount StewartHouse & Gardens, one of Northern Ireland’s most magnificent country homes which has recently been treated to a multi-

million pound refurbishment. We continue south to Portaferry for the quick ferry crossing to Strangford. We spend some timein Downpatrick where you can visit the St Patricks Centre and the cathedral, the official burial site of Ireland’s Patron saint.Friday 11th – Ulster American Folk Park. We head west via Antrim and around Lough Neagh, the largest freshwater lake inthe British Isles, to the heritage town of Cookstown. We continue to Omagh to find the award-winning Ulster American FolkPark, one of the country’s major museums. Here we experience the epic story of Ireland’s emigration from the thatched

cottages of Ulster to the American Frontier, brought to life through costumed re-enactments. We complete the circular journeyback to Belfast by calling in at Armagh, the only city in the world with two cathedrals.

Saturday 12th – Time to say goodbye to Northern Ireland and head up the coast to Larne for the morning ferry sailing toCairnryan, and complete the journey home.

We travel to Holyhead for the afternoon sailing to Dublin with Irish Ferries, then the short distance toBray for our overnight stay at the 3* WILTON HOTEL, BRAY. The following morning we continue on ourjourney to Belfast, we travel up the East Coast from Dublin to Dundalk, then follow the coastal route

around the Cooley Peninsula to Carlingford – coffee stop, we continue through Kilkeel and Newcastle toSaintfield where we visit Rowallane Garden, Rowallane contains a treasure trove of exotic plants fromaround the world, intriguingly mixed into County Down’s drumlins. BOOKING CONDITIONS PLEASE READ CAREFULLY YOUR CONTRACT IS WITH EASYTRAVEL (MALVERN) LTD

1. When you make your booking you must complete a booking form accepting these conditions on behalf of all persons on the bookingform and pay a non refundable deposit of £60.00 per person, (please note payments made by credit card will incur a 1.6% charge). Youwill then be issued with a booking confirmation and your Insurance policy, please read carefully paying particular attention tothe medical warranty, failure to notify us of anything that applies could affect any claim made. Easytravel is anappointed representative of ITC Compliance Ltd which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

2. The balance of your holiday is due 6 weeks before travel. Bookings within 6 weeks of travel require full payment (please note paymentsmade by credit card will incur a 1.6% charge). If the balance is not paid on time, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and applythe cancellation charges set out below.

3. You or any person on the booking form may cancel your holiday at any time providing that the person making the original bookingdoes so in writing.

Cancellation charges will apply as follows:Cancellation more than 42 days before departure date – loss of deposit. Within 8 - 42 days before departure – loss of deposit and a£50.00 charge plus any charges made by the hotel. Less than 8 days before departure 100% of the total cost. If this is an insurable reasonthis may be recovered from your travel insurance policy.

4. Financial Protection – The Package Travel Regulations 1992 require us to provide security for the monies that you pay for the packageholidays booked from this brochure and for your repatriation in the event of our insolvency. We provide this security by way of a bondheld by ABTA.

5. If after booking you wish to change to another of our holidays within the same brochure we will do all we can to accommodate you,providing the request is made in writing from the person who made the original booking.

6. Please advise us of any special requests at the time of booking on the booking form under special requirements. If you have anydisabilities or special needs please consult us as to the suitability of your chosen hotel. We must stress clients needing any assistancemust have a responsible companion with them.

7. If you have a problem during your holiday please notify your courier/driver and the relevant supplier hotel/Easytravel who will do allthey can to put things right. Easytravel is a member of ABTA with membership numbers 26458 and W2204, ABTA & ABTA members helpholidaymakers to get the most from their travel and assist them when things do not go according to plan. We are obliged to maintain ahigh standard of service to you by ABTA’s code of conduct. 8. Changes in transport costs i.e. the cost of fuel, government taxes or exchange rates mean that the price of your travel arrangements maychange after you have booked. However there will be no change within 30 days of your departure. We will absorb and you will not becharged for any increase equivalent to 2% of the price of your travel arrangements, which excludes insurance premiums and anyamendment charges. You will be charged for the amount over and above that, plus an administration charge of £3.00pp together withan amount to cover agents commission. If this means that you have to pay an increase of more than10% of the price of your travelarrangements, you will have the option to cancel your holiday with a full refund of all monies paid, except for any amendment charges.Should you decide to cancel for this reason, you must exercise your right to do so within 14 days from the issue date printed on yourfinal invoice.

9. We reserve the right in any circumstances to cancel your travel arrangements. For example, if the minimum number of clients requiredfor a particular travel arrangement is not reached, we may have to cancel it. An alternative holiday would be offered in the event ofcancellation or a full refund would be made if the alternative were not acceptable. No holiday will be cancelled less than 28 days beforedeparture. Minor alterations will be given to you at once. Any major changes will give you the option of cancelling without charge.Force majeure: we will not pay you compensation if we have to cancel or change your travel arrangements in any way because ofunusual or unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control. These can include, for example, war, riot, industrial dispute, terroristactivity and its consequences, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, epidemics & pandemics, unavoidabletechnical problems with transport.

10. We accept responsibility for ensuring that the holiday you book with us is as described in the brochure and that the services providedreach a reasonable standard. If any part of the holiday is not provided, as stated in the brochure, we will offer you compensation up tothe cost of your holiday.

11. We accept responsibility for death or injury caused by the negligent acts and/or omissions of our employees and subcontractors,servants and/or agents of the same whilst acting within the scope of, or in the course of their employment in the provision of yourholiday. We will accordingly pay to the client damages as may have been awarded under English law. In respect of carriage by sea andland travel and the provision of accommodation our liability will be limited in the manner provided by the relevant internationalconvention.

12. In the unlikely event of a travel delay of more than 4 hours i.e. breakdown or traffic conditions, Easytravel will do their very best toensure passengers comfort at all times. If necessary this would include alternative transport and/or refreshments where possible.

13. This contract is made on the terms of these booking conditions, which are governed by English law and both parties shall submit to thejurisdiction of English courts at all times.

14. Data Protection: In order to process your booking and to ensure that your travel arrangements run smoothly and meet yourrequirements we need to use the information you provide such as name, address, any special needs/dietary requirements etc. We takefull responsibility for ensuring that proper security measures are in place to protect your information. When you make a booking, youconsent to all the information you provide being passed on to your suppliers, wherever they may be based.
