BOOKINGMost activities (apart from practice sessions) do need to be booked in advance. Dates and times for courses and classes are either available on our website or from your local centre.

Please note that some of our courses and classes only run during the winter months (October – April).

BOOKING A SESSION WITH ALPINE SNOWSPORTS IS REALLY EASY...

REGISTER... Go to www.activenation.org.uk, click on “Join Us” then complete the registration form or just give one of our friendly team a call at your local centre and they will take you through the registration process.

BOOK... If you know what you want to book, just let us know and we’ll do the rest. If you’re not sure just ask and we’ll take you through the options!

PAY... Full payment for bookings is taken when you book and once this has been processed we will email you confirmation along with all necessary instructions. Refund and amendments are possible up to 14 days before the booked activity.

ENJOY... Just turn up 15 minutes early on the day of your booking, check in at reception and let the fun begin!

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?When you make a booking with us you will be sent a confirmation email. This will also have a list of what you need to bring along with you as well as other useful information.

Please bring gloves, long sleeved tops and long trousers as these are needed for all slope activities. Hard hats (helmets) are also required for some activities – please check with your local centre. All ski and snowboard equipment is included in all our slope costs. You can use your own equipment but do so entirely at your own risk. Junior rates apply to those under 17.

Practice sessions are available every day so if you already ski or snowboard why not stay “ski-fit” by attending on a regular basis. A great way of doing this is to buy one of our 30 day passes which gives unlimited practice use for 30 days from the date of purchase!

You don’t need to book in advance but as there are times when slopes may not be available for practice use, we do advise you to contact your local centre prior to arriving to check on available times and slopes.

” Come and have a go... Discover something new.”DISCOVERY SKI & SNOWBOARD SESSIONSIf you’ve always fancied a go at skiing or snowboarding, why not come along to one of our Discovery sessions and find out what it’s all about.

At just £12 it’s not going to break the bank and not only that, if you then book onto one of our guaranteed beginner courses, we’ll take £10 off the cost! It’s a win-win situation! Call us for dates and times.

Who is it for? Complete beginners ages 8+.

How long is it? One hour.

Prerequisites? No experience required.

LEARN TOSo...you’ve booked the holiday, bought the jacket and now all you need to do is learn how to ski or snowboard!

Even if you’ve booked Ski School lessons in a resort....don’t wait until you get there to learn the basics! If you get this sorted before you go you’ll be skiing on day one of your holiday... rather than floundering around at the bottom of the nursery slopes!

GUARANTEED TO SKI/ SNOWBOARD COURSEThese courses do what they say...they guarantee that by the end of the course you will be able to ski or snowboard to our practice standard!

If you fail to reach the practice standard at the end of your course…we’ll let you repeat sessions FREE of charge until you do. Courses are either

FAST-TRAX

FAST-TRAX COURSESFor those who want to learn but don’t have a lot of spare time…our Fast-Trax learner programme could be for you. These beginner courses (Ski & Snowboard) will cover all the basics all in one day. Because the courses are fairly intense they are aimed at adults only (17+).

Who is it for? Complete beginners (17+) Ski and Snowboard.

How long is it? 6 hours.

Prerequisites? No experience required.

How much does it cost? £99

When are they? Jan/Feb/March only. Dates and times from reception.

FORGOT YOUR SKI SOCKS?NEED A NEW PAIR OF SKI GLOVES? Both our snowsports sites have a small range of ski and snowboard accessories available including:

EXPLOREIf you’ve done a beginners ski/snowboard course but still feel the need for a bit more input, the next step session is.... The Next Step!

NEXT STEP SESSIONIt’s a great way to re-visit and strengthen up those basic skills giving you even more confidence to go it alone!

Who is it for? Skiers or Snowboarders.

How long is it? 2 hours tuition.

Prerequisites? Open Practice standard. Minimum age 12.

IMPROVE

OPEN PLAN SKI SESSIONS We all want to improve our skills and one of the best ways to do this is through a little bit of coaching and regular practice! Open Plan sessions are the ideal answer!

You don’t need to pre-book…just turn up when you are available. The two hour sessions are a mix of some tips and advice along with the opportunity to practice. Open Plan sessions run on a weekly basis throughout the winter. Please check with your local centre for details of which days this session runs.

Who is it for? Skiers (12+) looking to improve!

How long does it last? 2 hours.

Prerequisites? Intermediate level (main slope) skiers.

How much does it cost? £20 per session or just

£5 with one of our 30 day passes!

When do they run? Winter months (October – April).

What’s next? Private lessons/30 Day Practice Pass.

PREFER TO LEARN ON YOUR OWN?WHY NOT BOOK PRIVATE LESSONS.

PRIVATE LESSONSPrivate tuition is the best way to get specific feedback which will lead to permanent improvement. Available at all stages of the progression from complete beginner onwards.

UPGRADE 1 HOUR LESSON TO AN HOUR AND A HALFSometimes…an hour is just not quite enough. For an extra £15 you can upgrade your 1 hour lesson to an hour and a half! Ask when you book.

PRACTICE AFTER YOUR LESSON FOR JUST £5Why not stay out and practice after your lesson? For an extra £5 per person you can stay on the slope for an extra hour to practice what you’ve learnt! Ask when you book.

Who is it for? Anyone at any stage.

How long is it? 1 hour (but can be upgraded to 1.5 hours).

How much does it cost? 1 hour: £49 + £15 for additional person.

When are they? Available at most times throughout the year.

What’s next? Additional private lessons /Open Plan /30 Day Practice Pass.

RE-DISCOVER (SKI)If it’s been a while since you strapped skis onto your feet and you're feeling a bit tentative…this is the session for you! Aimed at refreshing the skiing memory and getting that confidence back!

Who is it for? Anyone who has skied before... but has maybe got a bit rusty.

How long does it last? 2 hours.

Prerequisites? Skied before.

How much does it cost? £22

When is it? All year round. Dates from reception.

What’s next? Private lessons/30 Day Practice Pass.

DAYTIME SKI & TEA CLASSESSki & Tea daytime classes are a relaxed way to enjoy learning when things are generally a bit quieter on the slopes. Sessions run two or three times a week and costs include light refreshments after the slope session. We run classes for complete beginners on the first session of each month. Please call your local centre for details on when sessions run.

Who is it for? Those looking for an easy going approach to skiing.

How long does it last? 2 hours.

Prerequisites? All levels from *beginner onwards.

How much does it cost? Please contact your local centre.

EXCEL So...you’re serious about this skiing thing. You practice regularly, go on regular ski holidays and get the odd bit of input to improve your technique.But are you really pushing your boundaries, or staying within your comfort zone? Excel sessions are a great way to stretch your abilities to the max!

GENERAL RACE TRAININGRace training isn’t only about skiing fast around gates. It’s about improving balance, developing sensitivity, being more accurate, fine tuning movements and developing solid technical skills. If that’s what you’re after...why not have a go?

Who is it for? Skiers looking to push their limits.

Prerequisites? Confident main slope skiers.

FREESTYLE (Southampton only)Follow in the foot steps of Billy Morgan with our Friday Night Freestyle sessions! Our friendly ski and snowboard coaches will send you in the right direction to start hitting the ramps and rails in no time. Features include: Ramps, Rails, Gas Pipe, Slide Box and ¼ pipe.

Who is it for? Skiers and Snowboarders looking to push their limits.

How long is it? 18.30 – 21.30.

Prerequisites? Practice standard.

When is it? Every Friday (Southampton only).

How much does it cost? Adults £16 Juniors £11.50 or

FREE to all 30 day pass holders.

INSTRUCTOR TRAININGOk...you may not be a racer but if you are a confident parallel skier, and would like to help others learn how to ski, why not join our instructor training sessions?

Both centres offer structured training opportunities leading to either UK Snowsport or British Association of Snowsports Instructors (BASI) qualifications.

Who is it for? Skiers interested in helping others learn to ski.

How long is it? Between 1.5 - 2 hours depending on time of year.

Prerequisites? Good parallel skier.

When is it? Contact your local centre for details.

How much does it cost? Costs on request.

ADAPTIVE SKIINGSnowsports is a great activity for those with a disability and both centres run Adaptive ski sessions in conjunction with a local club. We are also able to offer ski tuition and Donut sessions for disabled groups as well as 1-2-1 adaptive lessons at selected times.

KIDZ ZONEWE HAVE SOME BRILLIANT STUFF FOR KIDS OF ALL AGES!We know that with kids...if it’s not FUN it’s probably not going to happen!

Luckily, all our instructors are really just big kids themselves so no matter whether it's preparation for a ski trip or a Donut Birthday party....FUN comes as standard!

PARTY TIME! PARTIES AT ALPINE SNOWSPORTS ARE SOOOO COOL! We have some awesome activities available so if you’re looking for a party experience they will remember...book it with Alpine Snowsports. Party bookings can be made at almost any time although the weekends do tend to be the most popular…so remember to book early!

PARTY ACTIVITY OPTIONS THE MOST POPULAR PARTY ACTIVITY IS DONUTS. Safe, great fun for all ages, and no experience required.… but if you’ve done the Donut thing, why not try our latest adrenalin ride – X-Bobs! These cool looking toboggans are great for kids between the ages of 8 and 16. Alternatively, both SKI and SNOWBOARD parties can be arranged!

PARTY CATERING & TABLE HIREBoth centres are able to offer a catering package and/or table hire options, however, these do differ at our two sites so please contact your local centre for more information.

SKI + KIDS = SKIDS! Classes run every Saturday throughout the year. The aim is simple: stay safe, have fun, learn to ski! It’s BRILLIANT! Please contact your local centre for class times.

Who is it for? ALL levels from beginner onwards.

What age is it for? 4-10 years.

How much does it cost? *£13.50 per session or 5 sessions for £60 *Terms and conditions apply.

JUNIOR GUARANTEED TO SKI & SNOWBOARD COURSEA great way for kids to learn how to ski or snowboard. These six hour courses run after school (3 x 2 hour sessions) and will give youngsters all the basic skills they need to come and practice on their own.

Who is it for? Complete beginners.

What age is it for? 8-16 years of age.

How much does it cost? £75

When are they? Dates/times from reception.

What’s next? 30 Day Practice Pass and/or Junior Next Step Ski Session.

JUNIOR PRIVATE SKI LESSONSFor our younger skiers we offer a 45 minute private lesson option. Because the lessons are short and focused they are a great way to keep youngsters engaged and interested.

Who is it for? 4-12 year olds at any level.

How much does it cost? £37.50 for 1 child.

£10 for an additional child to join.

JUNIOR NEXT STEP SESSIONFor juniors who have completed the beginners ski course this 2 hour follow-on is the next step. It allows kids to practice and build on the skills learnt so far.

Who is it for? Junior skiers.

What age is it for? 8 – 16 years of age.

How much does it cost? £15.

SCHOOL HOLIDAY ACTIVITIESWondering what to do with them during the school holidays? We have some WICKED activities to keep them all safe, occupied and active.

AFTER SCHOOL SNOWSPORTS CLUBAimed at 11 – 18 year olds, the Snowsports Club runs every Thursday (17.00 – 19.00) during term time at Alpine Snowsports Southampton. You can take part in various activities including ski and snowboard practice and some instructor led activities. A 6 week beginners course is also available at the beginning of each term (£60).

Who is it for? All juniors (at all levels).

What age is it for? 11 - 18 years old.

How much does it cost? £8 per session (or free attendance with 30 day pass)

DONUT SESSIONSIt’s an exhilarating ride as the donuts spin and you hurtle down the slope and remember...there’s no brake so hold on tight! Great fun for all the family and a fantastic party option! Sessions are available most days and extra sessions run during school holiday periods and at weekends.

Who’s it for: 4+ (Aldershot), 6+ (Southampton).

How long is it: 1 hour.

Cost: £11.50

X-BOBSOur new adrenalin ride! These cool looking toboggans are designed around snowmobiles and the front runner allows you to steer and carve on your way down! Aimed at juniors between 8 and 16 years of age onwards, sessions are available at selected times. Please contact reception for details.

Who’s it for: 8 – 16 year olds.

How long is it: 1 hour.

Cost: £11.50

DONUTS & X-BOBSTHESE ACTIVITIES ARE JUST PURE FUN...AND THEY’RE NOT JUST FOR KIDS! YOU DON’T NEED ANY PRIOR EXPERIENCE – JUST GET IN AND GO!

JUNIOR SKI RACINGBoth centres act as hosts to a local junior ski race club who train on a regular basis at the centres. For children interested in joining the race teams there is a selection process so they do need to be at a good parallel standard to attend selection. For more information on Junior Race Training please contact your local centre.

SCHOOLS & YOUTH GROUPSBoth centres offer a range of activities for schools, colleges and youth groups. All instructors dealing with these groups are fully qualified and DBS checked. Charges for schools/youth groups are based on a “per group” rate. Please contact your local centre for availability and competitive prices.

ADULT/CORPORATE GROUPSAlpine Snowsports offer tailored sessions for adult and corporate groups including social clubs, team building days, Hen and Stag parties or just a group of friends! As well as a selection of activities we are also able to offer bar and catering facilities. Please call your local centre to discuss the options available.
