Under the Fireworks Regulations, it is illegal to let fireworks off between 11pm and 7am exceptDecember 31st (1am), Chinese New Year (1am),

Diwali (1am), and November 5th (Midnight).

FREE EXTRA FIREWORKS

1.3g effects relate to the type, quantity and grade of explosives contained within the fireworks in relation to

storage and transport. Generally 1.3g effect fireworks contain louderand bigger bursts but this is not always the case.

There are many varying factors which determine which classification a firework falls into including the type of packaging, the

size, type and amount of its chemical components.

All our fireworks are made by reputable manufacturers who use thehighest quality chemicals and powders and offer you the best effectsand bursts irrespective of whether the product is 1.3g or 1.4g (most

fireworks are classified in this category).

In addition, by adding the unique metal mesh system to some of our fireworks we are able to offer you the 1.3g

effect fireworks in a 1.4g version that we able to transport on ourcarriers and which we can store in larger quantities in our shops.

orgaNisiNg a displayEarly preparation is important and it is advisable toset up a small committee with each member having adefined responsibility to organise their part of thedisplay.

respoNsibilityNeighbours should be informed of your display, well inadvance, particularly if there are any young children,the elderly, pets or animals in the vicinity of theproposed display site. Fire extinguishers, buckets ofsand and water, should be available on the night withmarshals trained to use them. First Aid Posts shouldbe manned by trained stewards and clearlysignposted.

the siteEnsure you obtain permission from the land ownerwhere the display is to take place. Allow as muchroom as possible with no overhead obstructions andkeep well clear of buildings. The site should bedivided into three areas – the safety area, the firingarea and the fall out area. These areas should beclearly defined, marshalled and roped off. Please notethe minimum safety distances required between eacharea. Metal litter bins should be provided for thespectators.

lightiNg FireworKsAlways read theinstructions on eachfirework carefully, wellbefore the event.Fireworks should bestored in a sealedcontainer away from the Firing Site and only takenout as required. On the night it is advisable to weargloves, ear, head and eye protection. Avoid loose orunbuttoned clothing. Preferably use overalls of a non-inflammable material. An electric torch, claw hammer,

roll of tape, and pliers will beuseful. When unpacking take careespecially with fireworks enclosedin a Pyromesh cage, wear sturdygloves and use snips to removemetal banding and cage thenfollow instructions on the label.Keep away from naked flames, and inflammablematerial. Never smoke when handling or lightingfireworks. Always light fireworks at arm’s length, andunder no circumstances lean over a firework. Nevergo back to a firework if it fails to ignite.

set pieCesaNdwheelsMake surethe setpiece, wheelor lanceworkis securely fastened to the post and cannot fall off.Ensure it is the correct way up and the fuse is in aposition that can be reached easily.

roCKetsShould be launched from a rocket launcherangled so that the stick and head fall into thefall out area directly away from thespectators and any obstructions, place therocket launchers at the back of the set uparea. Make sure the rocket launcher issecure and cannot fall over, and the rocket isfree to rise. Check that the rocket stick is notstuck in the soil, and remove orange fusecap before lighting.

CaNdles, CaKes, FoUNtaiNs aNd MiNesInsert in soft ground or secure to a stake (which hasbeen sunk into the ground) as directed by the

firework's warninglabel. Make sure thatthe firework cannotfall over, and thatthere are nooverhanging trees orcables obscuring thepath of the firework.

FirersFirers must be 18 years of age or over and should befamiliar with all fireworks that are being used, andthe sequence that they are to be fired in. Gothrough the routine with all firers prior to thedisplay starting.

boNFiresBonfires must always besupervised throughout.They should be downwind of the firing area.Never useinflammables to startthe fire, and under nocircumstance disposeof fireworks, used orunused on the bonfire.

raiNBe prepared for rain. Plastic bags, bin liners and clingfilm, can be used on most fireworks to great effectagainst the weather. Cakes and barrages will firethrough a single thin layer of plastic.

speCtatorsIt is important to make sure the spectators are wellcatered for. The area designated to them must beclearly marked, roped off and marshalled. Make surethat it is large enough. Overcrowding can bedangerous.

aFter the displayCheck the site for fireworks that have failed to ignite.Carefully submerge them in water. Never put used orunused fireworks onto a bonfire. Please note somerocket motors are made of aluminium which mayleave sharp pieces of debris. Ensure the site iscleared of all debris and rubbish.

FIREWORK CATEGORIES EXPLAINED CATEGORY 1 - Indoor Fireworks.CATEGORY 2 - Garden firework requiring a 5 metreviewing distance, or EU Category 2 requiring amiminum of 8 metres or 15 metres viewing distance.CATEGORY 3 - Display firework requiring a 25 metreviewing distance.CATEGORY 4 - Fireworks defined in the British andEuropean Standard as being not suitable for sale tothe general public.

BE SAFE ANDYOU WILLHAVEASUCCESSFULDISPLAY

Payment is required with confirmation of your order. We do not offer a sale or return facility. Goods are dispatched up to 21 days prior to your display. A national carrier normally delivers them duringworking hours Monday to Friday. Please make sure the person nominated is able to receive and store them. Asurcharge may be applied if a delivery is refused or cannot be completed. The order will not be left without avalid signature. We do offer an overnight service in certain areas and during the November season we canprocess and dispatch orders in two to three working days. Claims for shortages must be made in writing within four days of receipt of your goods. Please check all

packages carefully and only sign for the number you receive. Do not wait until the day of your display beforechecking the contents. All fireworks conform to British Standards BS 7114 Part: 2 1988 or CE reg EN15947 and are supplied on thecondition they will be used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions supplied. British Standardcategory 2 are labelled for a minimum spectator safety distance of 5 metres, and category 3 for a minimumspectator safety distance of 25 metres. European Standard category 2 are labelled for a minimum spectatorsafety distance of 8 metres or 15 metres, and category 3 for a minimum spectator safety distance of 25metres. Purchasers must be eighteen years of age or over. Every effort is made to complete your order in full but should the need arise to make substitutions they will be
