On 13 June 2012, Mauritius made a successful bid to host the 2016 Congress of the International

Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA), which will see this biennial gathering of the world’s pre-

eminent arbitration practitioners held, for the first time in its 50-year history, in Africa.

The ICCA Congress is the largest regular gathering in the field of international arbitration. It brings

together around 1,000 lawyers, arbitrators, academics and other professionals. Over three days, the

Congress features presentations, discussions and workshops at which the theory and practice of

international arbitration is explored at the highest level. The Congress attracts global attention from

the legal professions and industry, and receives extensive coverage in the specialist press and wider

media.

International Arbitration is the preferred method of resolving international disputes. With the rise

of investment into Africa and cross-border trade within the region, international arbitration is

playing an increasingly important role in the African growth story. This is a unique opportunity to

be part of the first ever ICCA Congress in Africa – a key moment in that history.

Sponsoring the ICCA Mauritius 2016 will allow your organisation to be associated with one of the

most important events in the international legal calendar. The delegates and others who are

exposed to sponsors’ branding and material are sophisticated international business leaders,

travellers and consumers, and represent a highly attractive market for both professional services

The sponsorship packages are being announced now to allow potential sponsors to consider the

options. They will be formally made available from 1 January 2015. We urge potential sponsors to

of the main Congress days

• Usage of a conference room or other appropriate space for up to 200 participants for 90

minutes

• The location of the breakfast symposium will be at a high-class venue close to the primary

designated conference hotels, allowing easy access for delegates early in the morning (not at

the Convention Centre where the Congress will be held)

• Audio and Visual Equipment

• Program outline will be featured on the Congress website and in the Congress Program Book

• Access to contact information to be used for inviting attendees

• An opportunity to display your organization’s promotional and informational literature at the

breakfast venue

Planning, staging, food & beverage as well as transportation are to be provided or arranged by

Sponsor.

AFTER PARTY: $20,000 (3 OFFERED)

• Opportunity to hold an official After Party (after the Congress day):

o On Sunday evening (Opening Party) or

o On Monday evening (name and concept as defined by sponsor) or

o On Tuesday late evening (Young ICCA Party)

• Designation as a sponsor of the After Party

the Sponsor’s consideration.

GOLF DAY: $30,000 (1 OFFERED)

• Opportunity to sponsor an official Golf Day (the day after the Congress) at one or two of

Mauritius’ world-class golf courses:

• Designation as a sponsor of the Golf Day

• Access to the contact information for all Congress Participants, to be used for invitations

• One e-mail blast (design to be provided by sponsor) to be sent to all Congress Participants on

behalf of the sponsor

• Your organization’s name and logo displayed on a free-standing sign at the entrance to the

Golf Club

• Your organization’s name and logo displayed at the bar and lunch area at the Golf Club

• An opportunity to display your organization’s promotional and informational literature at the

Golf Club

Planning, staging, food & beverage and transportation will be provided or arranged by Sponsor.

Players may be asked to pay a fee to take part in the Golf Day which will be credited towards the

Sponsor’s costs of organisation of the event. One or two golf courses may be used, so that a maximum

of 72 or 144 players will be able to participate, depending upon demand.

CYBER CAFÉ: $30,000 (1 OFFERED)

• Designation as the sponsor for the Cyber Café in the registration and exhibit area of the

Congress venue

• Your organization’s name and logo featured on all signage at the Cyber Café

• One (1) complimentary meeting registration (ticketed events not included) and

• An opportunity to display your organization’s promotional materials in the Cyber Café.

Sponsor is responsible for coordinating with the conference organising company, and for covering

costs associated with, the provision of food & beverages and the rental and set up of computers and

printers for the Cyber Café.

III. SPONSORED ITEMS

CONGRESS BAG: $20,000 (1 OFFERED)

• The opportunity to provide a Congress Bag, branded with your organization’s name and logo,

to be distributed to each meeting attendee upon Congress registration

• One (1) booth in the exhibition area at the Congress venue to display your organization’s

promotional materials.

Sponsor is responsible for associated costs including design, purchasing, shipping and coordinating the

delivery of the bags to the Congress venue. The congress organising company may issue guidelines as

to minimum quality of Congress Bags and must approve eventual choice of the bag and proofs

associated with the design of the Congress Bags. In addition, Sponsors are responsible for coordinating

the shipping and delivery of the informational, promotional, and exhibition materials to the Congress

venue. Please coordinate all details and shipping logistics with the congress organising company.

CONGRESS LANYARD: $10,000 (1 OFFERED)

• Sponsor to provide lanyards branded with their company’s name and logo, plus ICCA logo,

given to each delegate with their name badge at Congress registration.

Sponsor is responsible for associated costs including design, purchasing, shipping and coordinating the

delivery of the lanyards to the Congress venue. Lanyards must be able to be adjusted for length. The

congress organising company must approve proofs associated with the design for the lanyards. Please

coordinate all details and shipping logistics with the congress organising company.

CONGRESS NOTEPAD: $10,000 (1 OFFERED)

Congress notepads, branded with your organization’s name and logo, to be distributed in the

Congress Bag to each meeting attendee upon Congress registration.

Sponsor is responsible for associated costs including design, purchasing, shipping and coordinating the

delivery of the Congress notepads to Congress venue. The congress organising company must approve

proofs associated with their design. Please coordinate all details and shipping logistics with the

congress organising company.

CONGRESS PENS: $10,000 (1 OFFERED)

Congress pens, branded with your organization’s name and logo, to be distributed in the

Congress Bag to each meeting attendee upon Congress registration.

Sponsor is responsible for associated costs including design, purchasing, shipping and coordinating the

delivery of the Congress pens to Congress venue. The congress organising company must sign off on

proofs associated with their design. Please coordinate all details and shipping logistics with the

congress organising company.

CONGRESS PROGRAM BOOK: $10,000 (1 OFFERED)

HOTEL ROOM KEY CARDS: $10,000 (1 OFFERED)

Show your brand on every hotel room key card for all attendees at three designated Congress

hotels… a great way to make an impression several times per day with a unique promotional

vehicle

Hotel key card branded with sponsor’s name and logo will be given to each meeting attendee

at the time of check-in at the primary designated conference hotels.

Sponsor is responsible for associated costs including design, purchasing, shipping and coordinating the

delivery of the hotel key cards (roughly $2 per key for 1,000 keys). The congress organising company

will assist the sponsor with all phases of the procurement, other than the graphic design. Production

must take place with the hotel’s recommended vendor.

USB DRIVE: $10,000 (1 OFFERED)

Sponsor to provide a USB drive branded with name and logo and included in each attendee’s

Congress bag

Sponsor may pre-load the USB drive with promotional material (subject to approval)

Sponsor is responsible for associated costs including design, purchasing, shipping and coordinating the

delivery of the USB drives to the Congress Venue. The congress organising company must approve

proofs associated with their design. Please coordinate all details and shipping logistics with the

congress organising company.

CONGRESS BAG INSERT (UNLIMITED): $2,500

Promotional insert or small promotional item branded by the sponsor, to be distributed in the

Congress

Your organization’s name and logo will also be posted on the website with a hyperlink to your

organization’s homepage

Sponsor is responsible for associated costs including design, purchasing, shipping and coordinating the

delivery of the Congress bag insert to the Congress Venue. Content and format of the one A4-sized

leaflet or small item is to be approved by the congress organising company before the Sponsor

proceeds with the actual printing. It should be printed with an initial distribution of 1,200. Please

coordinate all details and shipping logistics with the congress organising company
