Setting Default Colors

• When you receive this template, the colors will be correct but you MUST save the color palette to keep it available on your computer.• Go to the “Design” or “Format” (for Mac) tab.• On the right side, click on “Colors” or “Theme Colors” (for

Mac). A menu will open.• At the bottom of the menu, click on “Create New Theme

Colors” or for a Mac, it will have a box that says “Name.” • The colors are set correctly…just name this color theme

“Xyleme” and save it.

NOTE: Colors must be in this order and set BEFORE YOU DO ANY WORK for the rest of the template to look right!

Setting the Default Font – Step 1 of 2• The set font for presentations is Proxima Nova

Thin (or TH). You will need to download and save the Verdana and Proxima fonts and theme to your computer for the template to be compliant with Xyleme Marketing guidelines.

• How to download the fonts:• Close all PowerPoint sessions you may have open. • Go to the box folder titled: Corporate Source of Truth -

Setting the Default Font – Step 2 of 2

• You need to download all “Required fonts” in BOTH folders (Verdana and Proxima)

• In the required fonts folder on Box:• In the upper right hand corner of Box, there is a little

white box that means “Select All.” Click that box and it should highlight and put a check mark next to all the fonts. There might be a second page- make sure you download those too.

• Once all of the fonts are highlighted, there is a down arrow on the top left hand corner of the screen, which indicates “download.” Click that button, then select “okay” that you want to download all of the files.

• Open your downloads folder, double click each of the fonts, and install! You will have to do this one by one (for each individual font type.) It should take less than five minutes.

Saving Theme• From this presentation, go to file Save As

• Choose file type Office Theme .thmx• By doing this, you can now create a new presentation from scratch

with this theme.• In Powerpoint 2013 – you will find this theme under custom themes.

Graphics Treatment• Any shape is fine but it must have:

• Solid colors that match our color guidelines

• 2 D / Rounded corners• No outline • White text, bolded or un-

bolded• If you choose no fill, it must

have a Xyleme-colored line, black text and a shadow. The shadow specs are:• 55% transparency• Size at 100%• 3.5 pt. blur• 90 degree angle• Distance - 1.1 pt.
