2014 Winter Faculty Meeting and Luncheon What an amazing group of people we have in our department! The over 70 faculty who attended our 2014 Winter Luncheon and Meeting were in great form, acquainting and reacquainting with one-another … so much so that the seasonal music was drowned out by the chatter the entire time. Dr Mark Crowther took the podium in his inaugural faculty meeting as Department Chair. Dr Crowther made sure to honour our past Chair, Dr Fiona Smaill, for her contributions to the department over the past ten years and we celebrated the retirement and new Emeritus Faculty status of two long-standing members, Dr Matt McQueen and Dr Ron Carter. Thank you all for your enthusiastic endorsement of this event and make sure to mark your calendars for the Summer Faculty Meeting and Barbeque to take place on June 16, 2015 (remember to look your best as our new group faculty photograph will be taken then). Our appreciation and thanks are once again extended to Viola Freeman for her fabulous photographs.
