2014 FABRIC & TECHNOLOGYEach Triumph performance product is designed and developed to the highest quality. Each garment is designed in-house by our dedicated development team who ensure that all of our products are manufactured and tested to meet the modern day rider’s requirements. Here is a detailed look at some of the technologies that you will now find within our range.

HITENA is a super tenacious fabric made of

a high tenacity polyamide yarn. The yarn is

twisted to give it additional tear and abrasion

resistance whilst maintaining a soft surface feel.

Itis20%lighterthanotherpolyestermaterials

of the same denier making it ideal for modern

motorcycle garments.

DUPONT CORDURA® fabrics are made

using yarns or fibers from Invista. Fabrics can

bemadeusing100%syntheticfiberorinblends

with cotton or other natural fibers and are

known for their durability and resistance to

abrasions,tearsandscuffs.1000denierCordura

has an abrasion resistance equivalent to 1.3mm

competition-grade leather.

SUPERFABRICS are highly technical fabric

applications that can be found on garments

liketheNavigatorJacket.Offeringhighlevelsof

abrasionresistance,highertearstrengthand

stain resistance than standard base fabrics.

DUPONT TEFLON® fabric protector is

applied to the outer fabric to increase the gar-

mentsprotectionfromwater,dirtandstains.

OUTLAST® Temperature Regulating Technol-

ogy is renowned world wide as the product for

temperature regulation. Initially cool to touch

theOutlast®microcapsulesabsorbexcessheat.

Stored heat is released back to the body as re-

quired resulting in a constant microclimate. Not

toohot,nottoocold,justrightTM.

LEATHERAllofourleathersaresourcedfromhighquality,

Themajorityofourleathersaresourcedfrom

Brazilandaregivendifferenttreatmentsand

finishes dependant on the product they will be

madeinto.Forexample,forsportsproducts

we generally use Monaco or Carbon leather

which has a more consistent grain texture while

our classic leather products use drum dyed or

washed leathers for a more heritage feel.

TriTex is a performance membrane developed by

Triumph,offeringhighperformancewater-

proof,windproofandbreathabletechnologyto

a number of our products. TriTex is a porous

membranethatoffershighlevelsofwaterproof

protection against the elements while the wind-

proof properties protect against the wind-chill.

Products like the Acton 2 Jacket use a Z-liner

where the membrane is placed between the

outer shell and inner lining of the garment giv-

ingtheproductgreaterflexibilityduringriding.

TRITEX

The Sympatex membrane is a 5µm thick mem-

branethatislaminatedonatextilebase,provid-

ing apparel and shoes with protection against

moisture. The secret of the Sympatex membrane

is its functionality based on its composition. The

non-porous membrane functions solely accord-

ing to physiochemical principles. The hydrophilic

(water-attracting) elements of the Sympatex

membrane absorb moisture (transpiration) in the

form of vapour from the body and transport it

from the inside to the outside. What is special

about this process is that the Sympatex mem-

braneadaptstotheincreasinglevelofexercise,

offeringdynamicbreathability.

The non-porous structure of the compact

hydrophilic membrane ensures optimal climate

control and keeps drops of water (rain) away.

The Sympatex functional textile is made of

polyether-ester that represents no health

hazard and is therefore absolutely environmen-

tally friendly and skin friendly and recyclable

like a PET bottle. Sympatex is used within our

premium waterproof products such as the

proved Knox protectors. Knox specialize in the

design and manufacture of impact protection

foruseacrossawiderangeofhighrisksports,

including motorcycle riding. As the 1st company

each garment before selecting the appropriate

your arms. Take the measurement from your broadest part of the chest. This measurement is
