The Okanagan School of the Arts is a year-round entrepreneurial creativity centre and des-tination art school. It is located in the heart of the City of Penticton, on the Pen High Campus. Shatford Centre’s story has a life of its own, with Phase I, the restoration of the building, complet-ing on March 31st, 2011. Phase II has been the enhancement and updating of the classrooms, studios, offices and auditorium.

Phase III is the Shatford Community Learn-ing Kitchen Project, fundraising in partnership with the Penticton Rotary Club. This kitchen will be the ‘crown jewel’ in a community treasure of a building. Go to www.shatfordcentre.com for a donation package.

Another project, currently in planning phases, is the Shatford Commons, which is the enhance-ment of the grounds that measure approximately 2 acres. There are plans for a food forest dem-onstration garden, community gathering spaces, sculpture gardens and much more! We hope that you are able to visit and engage with the Shatford Centre ~ Okanagan School of the Arts, perhaps through taking a workshop, browsing through the exhibitions or coming to a performance. Whichever way you connect, we hope that it is a rewarding and satisfying experience! The SHATFORD CHRONICLES is a publication of the Shatford Centre ~ Okanagan School of the Arts, 760 Main Street, Penticton, BC V2A 5E2Email: [email protected]: 250-770-7668www.shatfordcentre.com & www.osarts.comContributors: Milton Orris, Wes HopkinDesign: Jane Shaak, Larry HunterGraphics: Larry Hunter Photography: Florian Mauer, Jane Shaak, submissions by artists
