ABSTRACT How to consolidate all my experiences, and how can Iexplain it to make it yours? Since I was a child I went through several uniqueexperiences that I could only start to understand a fewyears back: -The experience of being dead for a short while.-The experience of being one with nature.-The experience of meditation in many ways: Tao,Vipassana, Raja Yoga, Tracendental, Tantra,…-The experience of seeing a person in front of you thatyou feel is another you, you can see yourself onhim/her.-The experience when you lose yourself in running.-The experience of Self-help group energy that gives

answers.-The experience of this feeling deep inside my gut, thathappened at the same moment a loved one died.-The experience of communicating with loved ones at thesame time in different parts of the world.-The experience listening binaural and isochronic bits

with a certain rhythm.-The experience of feeling pure and fluent “LOVE”.

And many more experiences, that have been a lot. And themore I have the more I realize that everything goes tothe same end: “ONENESS”, WE ARE ALL ONE.

This project is about connecting Science and

Spirituality. Although we still can’t explain everythingabout spirituality in a scientific way. Year after yearwe have more and more scientific answers for thespiritual phenomena. And not having still all of theanswers, doesn’t mean that it doesn’t exist.

We already know that “everything has to do witheverything”, and everything is a subsystem of anotherbigger subsystem, and so on. All of them with the sameproperties, in the microcosm and the macrocosm.

The Principle of Mentalism:  "the all is mind; TheUniverse is Mental", the first of the seven principals ofthe truth in the sacred text of The Kybalion. Thishermetic Principle embodies the truth that "All is Mind".It explains that THE ALL (which is the SubstantialReality underlying all the outward manifestations andappearances which we know under the terms of "TheMaterial Universe"; the "Phenomena of Life; Matter;Energy; and, in short, all that is apparent to ourmaterial senses) is SPIRIT which in itself is UNKNOWABLEand UNDEFINABLE, but which may be considered and thoughtof as AN UNIVERSAL, INFINITE, LIVING MIND. It alsoexplains that all the phenomenal world or universe issimply a Mental Creation of THE ALL, subject to the Lawsof Created Things, and that the universe, as a whole, andin its parts or units, has its existence in the Mind ofTHE ALL, in which Mind we "live and move and have ourbeing." One of the old Hermetic Masters wrote, long agesago: "He who grasps the truth of the Mental Nature of theUniverse is well advanced on The Path to Mastery". (ThreeInitiates, [1912])

As Ervin Laszlo describes The Advent of the Akashaparadigm, he says: "we recognize the non-localinterconnection of all things in space and time". Thereis an inclusive way of understanding that reaffirms theage old instinctive comprehension of deep connectionsamong people, societies and nature, and integrates andtranscends classical religious and scientific paradigms.(Laszlo Ervin, 2014)

Ing. Rafael López Guerrero says that the universe iscomposed of 4% of normal atomic matter, 23% dark matter,73% dark energy previously thought was empty space, called Akasha. It's like an invisible nervous system thatruns through the universe connecting all things. IsAkasha, primary substance, is what forms the space itselfand it extends over everything.

Nowadays we know that everything is energy, vibrating indifferent frequencies. We are vibrational beings livingin a vibrational universe/s, always moving into more. Itis just that we are not prepared to perceive this energy. We can't see or feel radio waves, microwaves, gamma rays,x rays, and we even don't know what else we can't feeland see.

We develop the five minor senses that perceive as matter:sight, taste, touch, hearing and smell, at least therange we are capable to, but… what about other sensesthat we even don’t notice that they exist. We know, atleast, one hundred and five higher internal senses. Likeproprioception (sense of the relative position ofneighboring parts of the body and strength of effortbeing employed in movement); or vestibular (sense ofspatial orientation). Nobody learns how to breath, evenhow to cry or do the digestion. They work without ourawareness, fortunately. But this means that we don’tdevelop them. And how many senses like these we don’trealize they coexist, just because we don’t use them, weare not developing them. What if we close our eyes and webegin being conscious of what we eat, as an example. Canwe feel how does the tongue, throat, esophagus, smallintestine, etc…work? Try!

Human history is full of testimonials of those who coulddevelop their insight senses and see farther, muchfarther. Remember Platon, with his "Cavern's Theory",where we, human beings, only can see as reality theshadows reflected in the cavern's walls thanks because ofa light ray that comes from outside. Or Shakespeare in"Midsummernight's Dream", where everybody lives a dream,an illusion as reality. Or in Hamlet where the author

says: "There are more things in heaven and earth,Horatio, than all you can dream of in your philosophy".

Ancient mystics and yogis from many traditions knew aboutour vibrational nature, the “Theory of Impermanence” ofHeraclitus. Just as water can shift from one state toanother, freezing into ice or evaporating into steam, everything in our universe/s is in a state oftransformation. Our physical body is forever changing, and so does everything. Our thoughts and emotions arealways evolving.

Quantum Physics, Quantum Mechanics and String Theory, letus know that space is not empty, it is like a matrix. And in this Matrix we are all connected, and not onlyhuman beings but also with all of nature and substances. Also science reveals the existence of parallel universes, multiple scenarios that coexist at the same time. And weare available to choose or even create the one we want tolive in in accordance with our freewill. That our brainis like a radio, receives and emits electromagneticwaves, as bioelectrical pulse frequency hertz. An EEG -electroencephalogram- can show these. We are like a WIFIsystem, we can perform wireless transmissions.

Energy is what changes the shape of matter. This can bedemonstrated through the radio frequency. The frequenciesare the ones responsible that modify the subject. (RafaelLópez Guerrero, 2014)

The still revolutionary insight of Buddhism is that lifeand death are in the mind and nowhere else. Mind isrevealed as the universal basis of experience – thecreator of happiness and the creator of suffering, thecreator of what we call life and what we call death. OneMaster define the ordinary mind: “that which possessesdiscriminating awareness, that which possesses a sense ofduality -which grasps or rejects something external-.(Sogyal Rinpoche, 2008)

We are aware that “the observer changes what observes”,and, with the “Unfolding Times Theory” (Pierre GarnierMalet, 2004), we understand how human beings create the

4

particles in accordance with the logic that we use withour thoughts and will. Is the observer who chooses anddecides where and how to put his attention and intention(consciousness). And the attention and intention -themotor-, has the power -energies- to create a reality,“particles” that can be materialized. And in this processthe freewill and the capacity of feeling are the keyvariables. As a matter of fact: “WE ARE WHAT WE THINK”.

But is not that easy…consciousness itself creates theillusion. Thinking creates illusion and duality.

Jiddu Krishnamurti says that each of us can understandthe contents of our own consciousness. In his talks andwritings emphasize the psychological barriers thatprevent clarity of perception. In the mirror of therelationship is that everyone comes to understand thecontents of his own consciousness, which is common tohumanity’s consciousness. And we can do this, notanalytically, but by observing at the content, we candiscover within the division of observer and observed. This division is the root of human conflict, DUALITY. "Iand the world are not two different entities withseparate problems, I and the world are one." "Thecomparison, judgment and identification impedeunderstanding." (Jiddu Krishnamurti, Volume IV 1945-1948,9 ,10)). The observer is observed, that’s the key. If youdo not compare or judge you face yourself and this willgive you clarity and strength to uncover great depths. This is essential for understanding reality. When thereis no self-comparison, the thought is freed from duality, problem and conflict of opposites disappear.

We have contributions of several fields in this holisticapproach of interdisciplinary nature of the group.

To show some aspects of this, I would like to introduceyou six people and myself. We all come from differentbackgrounds and different disciplines:

is born.Later on Gordon Stokes and Daniel Whiteside orientate thepractice of muscular testing to the unlocking of emotions fromthe past, which blocks the perception of the present, andcreates the system “One Brain” of THREE IN ONE CONCEPTS. Dr.Paul Dennison, specialist on infant dyslexia, adapts thetechniques of kinesiology to the learning difficulties ofchildren and adults. Creates the Edu-kinesiology/BRAIN GYMthat utilizes movement, between others, to facilitate cerebralintegration. These techniques have in common the concept ofcellular memory.

Therefore, what is cellular memory?

CELLULAR MEMORY is the complete file of our biocomputers. Inour cells, we can find the information of the geneticimprinting, the ingrown, and the data acquired throughout ourhistory.

As an iceberg, the information only consists of its visiblepart. In our unconscious side the behavioral patterns thatprevent us from feeling well, healthy, and live our lives aswe desire, together with the necessary resources to reach ourgoals, are all mixed up together like in a huge case.

To have access to these concepts we must take into account, asa basic premise, the criteria of totality and individualism ofthe person: considering the human being inseparable andunique. This is why we respect as an only source of validinformation the one that possesses each one on its owndatabase.

Therapeutic objective: • Detection of stress, and its consequent release. • Being aware, unblock, and clean the trauma in theirrepetition. • Connect with the creative capacity of the humanbeing for its self-validation.

The decoding of Cellular Memory comes out to be a techniquethat allows the connection of information stored in our body.

Every traumatic experience is conserved in each of our cells, creating an automatic response of stress. When it comes to aninternal stimulus, with similar connotations to an experiencethat has already happen, the body/unconscious reacts isolatinga series of chemicals that cause an emotional regression tothe traumatic moment experienced.Through this technique we can change the energetic patternsthat paralyze us, and build a new option of life based on newconsistent choices. Our body responds in the way that wethink, feel, and take actions. This is normally defined as theconnection mind and body.

The emotions will always go together with a somatic answer. This means that emotions as genuine as fear, sadness, anger orhappiness, will be reflected in various parts of our physicalbody. Our emotions are energy and generate a movement ofreaction of our body, as a response to what we live daily. When the energy flows loosely we activate the body expressionfrom head to toes, going through the eyes, mouth, diaphragm, and pelvis. When these instincts are mentally blocked due toauto repeat, education, standards or costumes, we createcleavage sites in the body, zones where the energy flow isinterrupted and contractions appear, tremors, vibrations andtingling, and with the time symptoms. When we store tension inour body, the body expresses it with pathology due to twopossible reasons:

• As an alarm and expression, to warn us thatsomething is wrong.• As a regulator of scape from tension, due to thefact that there is no more room for storing and it isreleased from the system.

Throughout our life, we have learned to wear an armor toprotect us from pain, but it also keeps us away from pleasure. We tend to act without feeling, to be without being, followingan imposed demand, a schedule not always in line with our ownbiology. Cellular Memory is a resource to update our system and toaccess to our creative resources to live at a 100% of ourpotential. The proposal is to learn to realize how thephysical symptoms express our repressed emotions. When

clearing our Cellular Memory, limiting beliefs about ourrelationship with the body/mind/emotion, the expression offeelings, becomes more fluid and we eliminate the physicalarmors that we built as a mechanism of defense, since we donot need them.

This new vision, of ourselves invites us to generate anenclosed space where we can listen to what our body asks andsays. Discover and connect to everything that our interiorKNOWS, that internal voice that guides us, that tells us moreabout ourselves through an antique and deep knowledge thatconnects us to our internal wisdom, and with our auto-sanitation potential, and remember everything that is being ina different way which requires an extraordinaryphysic/mental/emotional effort. If somebody cries when they feel like crying, laughs when theyfeel like laughing, shouts when they feel like shouting, neverreaches sadness, a joy, or anger that needs to get out andexpress itself in a disproportional way.

The mind is the key to reality, what we think determines ouremotions, our actions, our consequences… So, if the reality oflife begins from the inside, in the mind, and then takes itsshape in the material world, and we clean from our memory theancestral limitations, child blocks, the knots that stop usfrom free demonstration of our potential, it is guaranteedthat if we think about it, we can do it.Life is what you make of it. We determine what reality is. Itis not <<it will be what it has to be>>. It will be what wewant it to be.

He leads a multidisciplinary team called Odiseo which develops networkstrategies for companies who want to create knowledge networks with itsstakeholders.  In 2007 he published Sustainability 2.0, a first formulation of the catalytic rolethat social media can play to create collaborative business and governancemodels  and in 2010 Odyssey 2.0 - The brands in social media, a strategy toinstall the brand values in online networks. The agency has offices in Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo, working for clients inLatin America and Europe.Van Peborgh is a regular columnist for La Nación newspaper and lectures atacademic and business organizations such as TEDx.He was vice president of Citicorp Equity Investments and founding partnerand managing director of the AIG Southern Cone Fund.

Fifty years ago, at the most critical point in the ColdWar and the tensions concerning the imminent nuclearconflict between the United States and the Soviet Union, the American Department of Defense commissioned PaulBaran, a Polish-American scientist specializing in thedesign of computer networks, to develop a system capableof keeping the armed forces in communication during anuclear attack collapse.Using the precarious computer technology of the 60s,Baran managed to maintain the network’s communications, even when several of its nodes were disconnected. Hisstudy revealed not only that networks could stay incommunication, but that they could experience a relevantincrease in their resilience levels, even in case ofloss of 50% of their nodes.

The drawing published by Baran in his work ondistributed communication networks is perhaps the imagewith the highest memetic power to illustrate thedevelopment which logics and human language areexperiencing today. And the most striking thing ispossibly the swiftness of this evolution. Over the lastdecade, and since the appearance and boom of the socialmedia, humankind has created a crust of hyper-connectedminds ceaselessly exchanging ideas and knowledge. The

logics of the world have changed, and that so abruptlyand relevantly that we are still trying to understandthe phenomenon and adjust to it.

As pointed out by Marshall McLuhan, also in the 60s,most people cling to a vanished past or reality, andmove towards the future as if looking into a rearviewmirror. McLuhan held that, due to the invisibility ofmany of the changes taking place in the environment, during the innovation period man remains attentive tothe previous environment and does not realize he isalready living in a new one.

This is what is happening to us in this present – apresent in which our logics have been replaced by a newcommunications and organization matrix. As a result ofthis phenomenon, today a new cosmology rules our socialorder, and this change has essential implications forour culture and our socioeconomic structures.

My purpose in the following paragraphs is to analyze thedeep impact which this change in the matrix has on thestructure of one of the most powerful forces dominatinghumankind – capitalism. In order to understand its scope and assess its effects,we need to analyze it from a systemic perspective. Forthat purpose, thinking of capitalism as a system willenable us to understand how a change in its underlyingmatrix has an impact on its morphology and workings.

This approach will also help us transcend the rulinglogics: we will be able to stop looking at it through arearview mirror and approach it from an amplerviewpoint, in accordance with the structure of the newmatrix.

It is very usual to define capitalism as a system. We

11

Page 12: 2014 ISSS Science & Spirituality Final

Science & Spirituality – References

use the term capitalist system to refer to the economic orderwhich finds in capital its fundamental socialrelationship.

But – what does the term “system” really mean? A system is defined as a complex of elements in orderlyinteraction, which remain united in a more or lessstable manner by virtue of some kind of objective. Systems may be open or closed.

An open system, such as capitalism or any humanorganization, takes energy from its environment –whetherraw materials, information, scientific knowledge, socialdemands or any demands relating to the purposes and meanstypical of the system– to transform it into productswhich it then re-exports to the environment.

Its functioning demands a constant feedback between theelements of which it is made and the environment. It mustself-regulate its functions in accordance with thealterations in this environment, for the purpose ofpreserving its essential mission. This self-regulationlies with the elements of which the open system is made, and their interdependence and interconnection.

S = E x I x P is a formula that enables us to definethis interdependence. In this formula, a system (S) isthe group of Elements (E) which, through their Interconnection(I), seek to achieve a given Purpose (P).

In this context, any change in the elements has aneffect on the system. The same happens when theinterconnectivity with which the elements interact witheach other is altered. In any of the two cases, a changein E or I can generate a change in the system’s purpose, which is ultimately the aim of the system (what itexists for).

12

In the last decade, humankind has witnessed the mostdramatic change in all our history as a species, as aconsequence of the interconnectedness between people andwithin all human systems. In this short period, wemanaged to have over a third of the world’s populationaccess the Internet, and over 85% communicate throughcell phones.

Let us then return to Baran, and analyze both matrixesfrom the interconnectivity viewpoint and from that oftheir matrix architecture. From this perspective, weshall begin to understand the implications of the changein which we are immersed.

The first matrix, which we may call centric, consists ofa central node which works as the epicenter of severalsatellite nodes. The organizational, communicational andlogistic structures of capitalism were built under thislogic. This centralized structure not only enabled theaccommodation of its hierarchical rationale and powerdynamics, but drove vertical integration and economiesof scale. The communications matrix of capitalism, broadcasting, replicates these logics. It consists of massmessages issued from a high-dissemination-power centralnode to passive nodes which do not communicate with eachother and which receive the message without being ableto modify or retransmit it.

This structure generates a motivational dynamics basedon competition and private interest; the nodes competeagainst each other to reach high hierarchy levels, trying to fill the power place of the central node –this is the only path they can take in order to evolve.Competition sustains the dynamics and evolution of thissystem, where knowledge is a power, a valuable resourcewhich must be protected in order to have an advantageover the others. Its purpose – what keeps it alive andenergy-filled – is the continuous striving to grow.

13

Page 14: 2014 ISSS Science & Spirituality Final

Profit is the validation of success.

The result is a non-relational, low collaborationenvironment. Although this is an open system, as astructure it is very circumscribed to the changes andcomplexity increases of the environment, because thelimitation is due to the reaction and evolution abilityof its central nodes. Since the system’s complexity andefficiency can only equal the complexity of the centralnode (which coordinates and distributes the informationand organization of its attached nodes), the system islimited in its evolution to the abilities of thosenodes. Thus, its reaction to the environment’s abruptand evolutional changes is reduced.

The distributed matrix, on the other hand, has farampler and deeper possibilities and derivations, notjust at the communications and organizational levels, but because of the potential generated through theparticipation among the network’s nodes. Its logics and structure match those of the most evolvedsystems. Its interlinked organization enablesinteraction and reciprocity between nodes without needfor the coordination of a central node. The nodes maycollaborate with each other, building value on the basisof the reciprocity of their relationship. Thus, thesystem encourages the motivation and autonomy of itsactors, gathered around common interests and causes tobuild a new collective resource from collaborativecreativity.

In this matrix structure, the purpose is built from theconsensus of the nodes, which, on the basis ofinteraction, in turn build a common objective. In thecentric matrix, this purpose must be inducted by an“order from above” or hierarchical mandate.

The great difference between these two paradigms is

14

Page 15: 2014 ISSS Science & Spirituality Final

Science & Spirituality – References

interconnectivity. In the centric matrix, interconnectivity is limited, since communication flowsmust pass through the central node. In the distributedmatrix, communication flows independently of the nodes,as Baran demonstrated with his experiment. But thismatrix has a much more interesting feature. Within thissystem there appear other properties, non-existent in acentralized matrix, related to interdependence and self-governance. There appears the ability to connect withother actors in order to obtain data, information andknowledge, which are processed, recombined and againexposed to the collective for a new reconstruction onthe basis of these contributions. This process enablesemergent properties to appear, which are collectiveproperties, belonging to the group of elements that makeup the system and not to its individual elements. Theemergent property is a new one which that systemacquires but its isolated elements do not have. Thewhole is more than the sum of its parts.

It is through this emergent element that we cantranscend the logics of centralized networks, since thelatter, due to their limited interconnectivity, do notmanage to develop this property.

It is impossible for capitalism to remain outside theimpact of this matrix structure. As an open system, itshall necessarily be affected in its logics andprimordial function. The complexity of the wholecapitalist system’s environment is exponentiallyevolving. Distributed networks are replacing all ourdominant matrixes, which capitulate before this newlogic and give way to new organization, production, consumption and distribution models. New forms of socialorganization, innovation and knowledge building arealready a part of our day-to-day lives.

From the inside, the same nodes that make up the system

15

Page 16: 2014 ISSS Science & Spirituality Final

intertwine through a powerful and growinginterconnectivity, and begin articulating themselveswith the network. Crowdfunding, crowdsourcing andcrowdmanufacturing systems have democratized the existingpatterns, and innovation flows, emerges and rebuildsitself on the basis of collaboration and collectivecreativity, challenging every model we know.

Understanding is 50% of the answer. We need tounderstand the transformations triggered by this newmatrix, and acknowledge that the future is already withus, in order to prepare ourselves and make the most ofthis incredibly opportunity offered us: that of evolvingtowards a more connected, equitable and sustainableworld.

“recently” acquired cognition, but only part of our higher mentalthinking capacities. Contemplative, non-reactive, non-judgmentalframes and states of thinking and being bring forth a sense ofvital connectedness. We are beginning to understand these mentalcapacities and qualities. A great challenge at some point is“letting go” of the mental chatter that seeks to explain and wantsto know how things work and deepen our first person empiricalpractice. As with infants and children, the proof of humancompassion, cooperation, love and peace is best explained throughactions and not only by means of MRI’s, or delta and alpha brainwaves. Often herd is that science has become our new religion.Maybe debatable, but this may be true for a different reasontoday. In the field of studying human compassion and love opinion-forming, highly recognized scientific leaders could eventually beequated to the teachers and gurus of other times, not due to theirfindings but together with their actions towards the community Truth is usually simple and straightforward. Truth and wisdomdefined as what is realized when an individual can achieve anample comprehension, insight or self-awareness of most of thevariables of “outer” and “inner” world facts and experiencesrelated to ones decision making. Our decisions are based on ourvalues. Our values can be more egocentric or allocentric. We canoperate thinking on our own individual needs, with a disregard forothers, or service to others can become our main goal. Trueservice to others is related to realizing higher states of self-awareness which come with a sense of “knowing”, “truth”,“wellness” “happiness”, “love” that satisfies our quest forwellbeing in outer worldly achievements. All theses “higher” innerstates are brought forward through the practice of ancientspiritual disciplines and their more contemporary spin offs.Neurosciences today has repeatedly found that these “higher”states of consciousness are not “psychological”, “emotional”“esoteric” or “mystical”. The increase in self-awareness hasconcrete biological correlates found in our brain a physiology. We tend to believe that the solutions to our daily challenges needto be complex to be considered serious and effective. However thesolution to most of our challenges as a species are simple. Todayas individuals and as a community we can consciously and willfullyparticipate in the evolution of our own species. Our challenge isto become truly aware and responsible of this possibility andopportunity. How is this so? It is actually quite simple dependingon two proven capacities the brain and mind has:

1. The human infant learns by imitation. Our whole sensory system, especially through our visual andauditory system is hardwired to learn by observation andimitation. We possess a unique sensory processing system, whichintegrates sensory information stemming off from the adults inenvironment. Integrating facial gestures, tones of voice, bodygestures and pairing these observations with inner "feelings" andintentions and connecting and relating all of this with what ishappening in the immediate environment. Socio-emotionalcompetences, higher levels of interpersonal thinking, emotionalIQ, all depend on the emotional coherence of the adults aroundchildren and their own level of emotional processing. In simpleterms, the abilities these adults have to put thoughts in words, keep reactivity and judgment low and act based on higher levels ofallocentric emotional processing result in clear, coherent, predictable and easy behaviors to be imitate by a child. Love, compassion and altruism are examples of this type of coherence ofthought, word and action. A higher level of consciousness based ona high level of self-awareness, which is expressed coherently inobservable behavior. Coherent higher-level thinking is more easilyimitated. An infant is propelled to observe adults, and wants tolearn from them in a state of huge curiosity and pleasure. Themore inspiring the adults are the more attention a child will pay.Happiness and loving-kindness are two very inspiring states bothfor children and adults. Modeling and Imitation are the two sidesof the same coin. This is how our species has been learning fromitself generation after generation.2. Today we have enough data through the research of contemplativepractices (Vipassana, Transcendental Meditation, Mindfulness, MBSR-Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction-) to sustain that the humanbeing can develop willfully and learn higher states of self-awareness by purposefully paying attention to the present momentwhile practicing low-judgmental and low-reactive ways of thinking. The natural by-product of the joint practice of formal andinformal meditative and contemplative practices are human values, expressed in rather continuous state of independency from outerworld achievements of wellness, happiness, love, joy, simplicity, humbleness, etc. On top of all, these “spiritual” disciplines are secular andindependent from any creed. More and more these disciplines andpractice are available at a neighborhood level. This might be asilent revolution from bottom to top. Decision making leaders at a

worldwide level might still be quite dismissing still aboutconsidering love, compassion and peace as the highest brain andhuman technology. In evolutionary terms and times, it seems thatthis trend is gaining strengths, speed and consistency. We arebeginning to comprehend the full potential of our mind andunderstanding the importance of actively cultivating unconditionallove for own happiness and that of the world. Within this contextmeditation and contemplative practices are probably the mostpowerful tools yet available to transform our human existence andco-existenceHuman values: Meditation by-products and inner secular working codesHuman values can be a simple way to measure and reference thecoherence of an individual’s thought and behavior. The more theyare understood and practiced they enable to access inner states ofpsychological and biological coherence and efficiency based onlearning and choosing a particular way of thinking. This way ofthinking brings along an increasing awareness and “feelings” offreedom and independence from outer-based peer acceptance andapproval. This outer-based dependence largely ceases and aninsight a state of “knowing” awakens. This acquired differentstate of the mind is also referred to as a change in a state of“consciousness”. The opening of a new domain of thoughts, wordsand actions based on a human coherence and loyalty, based on humanvalues, like altruism, love and compassion. The more an individualthinks, acts, serves, helps and cooperate based on this higherlevel of thinking there is an increase in satisfaction, joy, faith, love, well being, etc. So, within the context of the two solid and well proven factsmentioned initially, what other research and technologicaldevelopment is more important than achieving and promoting humancoexistence based on human values? Not just some but all of our human challenges, dilemmas andproblems in all human and worldly domains, including health, education, politics, international affairs, etc. depend upon trulyknowing and being aware of the intention and values that arebehind each thought, word and action. Most of our social andbiological illnesses today stem from our way of living, which comefrom our way of thinking. Meditation and contemplative practicesmight also become the most effective low cost preventiveintervention ever, specially since most are stress related. As wecan see the solution to most of our greatest human, biological and

ecological challenges are simple. It is how we think aboutourselves and others that make it part of the problem or of the“solution”, and even better, an integral part of our biology. Values held from a cognitive level of thinking are beliefs thatare voluntary upheld and can become and develop dogmatic and rigidstates of thinking and acting. Our history is full of examples ofindividuals who have believed according to what they thought wasright and upheld their beliefs above other, no matter what. However true human values, the ones that ancient spiritual textsdescribe over and over, are already being part of our biologicalmake-up. They are a brain potential just as learning to talk andread. Through evidence-based science we can sustain that these newlyinterpreted human values are by-products of generic mindfulness-based practices. These “true human values” are not activelysought; they emerge as by-products of a particular way ofpracticing and developing metacognitive abilities through diversemethods of self-inquiry, self-knowledge, and conscious attentionthat as a whole increased moment to moment self-awareness. Values, beliefs that are behind every thought, word and action canbe understood as a continued spectrum. From self-fulfilling toaltruistic. From egocentric to allocentric. This continuum is infact also a reflection of our states of self-awareness. From lowto high levels of self-awareness. In other words, from states ofthought based on high emotional reactivity and automaticity tothoughts and decision making based on reflective and broader basedawareness of metacognitive process. All of this expressed inemotions and values, it would reflect a continuum of decision-making based on fear, anger, revenge, guilt, greed, envy, jealousy, etc. vs. compassion, happiness, love, peace, simplicity, humbleness, honesty, etc. And further more as is described inmost spiritual texts, a continuum from ignorance and illusion toone of clear seeing, awakening, awe and true knowledge. Taken to an international arena, becoming conscious of the valuesbehind our deeds enables us to know from which beliefs, innervalues, from what intention, we are acting and what we areprioritizing. For example, what are we being loyal to when wemake a decision? Our country, our political party, our race, ourown need for profit or a a larger sense of brotherhood, responsibility and oneness with the whole human race. Standing onthis latter point of view we can understand how suffering and itseradication on a human level can becomes a natural priority,

especially by those who have had the opportunity to receive ahigher education. If we are only connected and loyal to our local community in ourthoughts instead of a higher level of human connection andresponsibility, we will tend to think of only including oursmaller community and exclude or even compete with that which isdifferent or diverse. This has been our way of thinking anddealing with problems so far. However, today we have the data toprove that there is a practical and factual way of developinghigher levels of altruistic based thinking. We can continue toresearch into higher states of self-awareness but we also need tobecome very adamant is exposing and enforcing this data withinthose leaders who are in high level decision-making positions. Weneed to expose that it is a priority to consciously work onbecoming self-aware of the intentions behind every thought, wordand action. Become coherent human beings, loyal to the species asa whole. Have we come of age? Are we at the doorsteps of the Homo-self-conscious or the Homo-altruistic? Human Values: Human TechnologyBeyond scientific and technological discoveries, the human brainis by far the most evolved piece of technology on the face of theearth. On the other hand, our neocortex and its symbolic thinkingabilities are still relatively new, just a few centuries old incomparison to the age of “life on earth”. We are just learning howto optimize our mind functions, and one of its highest expressionsis Love. Understanding love as an inner state of unconditional andincreasing wellness produced by developing and actively exercisingparticular way of thinking. A way of thinking that counter acts amental inertia of only valuing tangible achievements and enablesthe establishment of a new relationship with ourselves, ourhistory and memories and others. Love then redefined, is a product of repeated practice of self-examination, self-remembrance throughout the day as one’s primarystate. This state brings about deep feelings of compassion andwholeness that enable an ongoing progressively deeperunderstanding of altruism, love, compassion and human values ingeneral. So, can we truly aspire to study brain and mind beforehaving achieved personally a certain level of consciousness? Ourunderstanding of life changes as we change our individualreference point for ego centered and driven to allocentric, contemplative and altruistic. This is like comparing theobservations a toddler, a child, an adolescent, a young adult and

a “wise adult” may have about living and life in general. Each onwill have different needs drive intentions. From self-fulfillmentto altruistic. The state of our world and human relationships makes Love thehighest survival and adaptive way of thinking and behaving. Itseeks and enables peaceful coexistence as a priority since it putsa persona in a high state of satisfaction which comes from givingand working for higher goals than self-satisfaction. We know thisalready, this is evidence-based science. Imagine what our futurecould look like with leaders gliding in these states ofconsciousness? We do have only a few examples of this type ofleadership, and how profound a footprint they left, amongst other:Gandhi, Mandela, Dalai Lama and Martin Luther King. Our own evolution within our own reach, in one lifetime: Decidingto actively learn practices Love and Human ValuesThe most effective way of studying the brain maybe has not comefrom our current technology, but from first person empiricalexploration. The description of stages, methods, techniques forthe higher development of self-awareness and consciousness isquite detailed and effective. In the last decade the cross overinvestigation between eastern monks and western neuroscientistshas shed more than light on this empirically validated methods ofbecoming wiser human beings. Understanding wisdom as an increasesense of presence regarding a large scope awareness of variablescoming from the “outer world” but principally the awareness of itsrelation with “inner experiences” and vice versa. Many meditationsmethods exist and have been passed on by disciplined practice forcenturies. The fact that these contemplative practices are growingis not a minor detail. For nearly 3000 years we have known that by self-inquiry andmeditation we achieve higher states of humanness Can we move onand make Love, Compassion and all the rest of the human values apriority on political, health and child education agendas? Be itBuddhist Hindu, Christian, Jewish, Muslim practices, meditativepractices go hand in hand with a set of ethical codes tocontemplate. The Buddhist noble eightfold path would be a goodexample of this. Self-awareness increases by formal and informalmindfulness practices but also and strongly by observing andunderstanding the intention of our behavior when exposed to itsintegrity through these ethical elements. These codes o preceptsdon’t put forth a moral obligation, a dogma, or a judgment of whatis right or wrong to be imposed to others. Mindfulness practices

therefore increases self-awareness, which enable a progressivesubtleness in the understanding and use of this set of ethics. Thecodes are a core part of contemplative practices. They highlightand increase a very important aspect in any practice: discipline. The disciplined observation of one’s own behavior put to the testof coherence what we think, say and do. Therefore these areancient systems for human mindful evolution, not based on aparticular ideology, but a method to learn metacognitive thinkingthat enables the “thinker” to see and include the “thinker” andhis subjectivity in a higher-level of decision-making. Where is the Love?We usually equate the brain with the mind. We think that that themind is the direct product of the brain. There are many theorieson this issue, including that the mind is part of a wholesomatosensory system (the body) or that an “extended” mind exists, which could explain the nature of coincidences, synchronicitiesand shared thoughts beyond any chance. Be that as it may, the mindis something difficult to describe with words, as well asconsciousness and its different states. Something similar happens with love. We speak a lot about it butmost of the times we do not comprehend its true essence. Why has nature enabled man to “feel” love, compassion and beauty? Although we have begun to search for answers through scientificexplanations and studies, the true answer is and has been here forcenturies, present in empirical first person exploration, found inthe ancient spiritual traditions. Neurosciences are veryinterested in studying these skills that mention enabling “true”answers. Maybe we are coming of age. More and more love, happiness, peace and compassion have become subjects ofneuroscientific study. What once was considered proper ofphilosophical discussions is know becoming hard-core science. The state of our ecosystem reflects our lack of efficiency andlack of responsibility as a whole in taking care of the world andus as a community. This status quo has brought us and confrontedus with the need to actively understand Love, Peace, Compassionand Humbleness, amongst other values, as states of the mind orways of being that can and need to be actively developed, todayfor our own individual good and especially for our survival as acommunity and species. The development of human values can be equated to other humancapacities, such as upright gate, symbolic communication, readingor writing. Skills that once were only present in a few, today are

part of our natural development. A similar process of generalizedacquisition may be in the making in regards to human values.Maybe through states of compassion modeled by self-aware adultsrearing children. Adults as parents and teachers, consciouslycultivating self-awareness and non-reactive, low-judgmental statesof presence. Our most human skills such as the abilities toestablish joint attention read and decipher facial expressions andemotions are learnt principally by modeling and imitation. Thiswould mean that today we could willfully participate in our ownevolution as a species. I am not talking about a conditioning ofchildren base on a certain ideology or pedagogy. Achieving higherlevels of self-awareness and consciousness is not based onknowledge. These states apparently are inherent to our brain, butare developed by deciding to do so through contemplative andmeditative practices. These met cognitive practices, that increaseself-aware based on purposeful non-reactive, non judgmentalattention, bring forth very unique byproducts: human values, understood as Love, Compassion, Peace, Equanimity and many others.Human values are more than just philosophical, ethical or moralissues. They are maybe our most evolved adaptive survival skills. In practicing these “spiritual techniques”, studying their ancienthistory and observing how these practices are gaining terrain, based on evidence based medicine, we are beginning to understandthese states of presence better. The research-based study ofthese practices is uncovering that maybe compassion; love andequanimity are potential skills that our brain is wired to acquirethrough practice. Human attributes which every brain and mind hasthe potential to develop. A potential that needs to be followed bycertain levels of determination, attitude and discipline todevelop. The catch maybe lies in that their development is notlinear. The more you focus on results the less understanding, theless present. As frequently is said and herd the path is thedestiny, no expectations but simply to work the abc’s of beingpresent, letting go, low-level judgment, accepting what is andsee-saw of remembering and forgetting to come back to the present.Simple, neither hard nor easy, just what has to be done, and hasbeen done for centuries. This vision and practice brings a huge challenge to our mindsetfocused on results and measurable outcomes. The increase in self-awareness brings an increase in scope and deepness of thecomprehension of how the mind and emotions work. These described, and felt, states of increase awareness and low emotional

reactivity seems to allow for more time, space and depth toobserve outer and inner reality. The more time dedicated toobserve life with an open mind, with a deep commitment to learnfrom everything exponentially increases states of awe and wonder.Life itself, living becomes such an extraordinary experience thateverything becomes an opportunity to appreciate and experiencelife with such openness and connectedness that worries about our“mundane problems, shift and just become things to resolve. This love is more than just feelings towards each other. It issome type of vital energy behind what grows and evolves. As aspecies have evolved without our intervention. For example, what“intention” or “will” was behind the development of the retina andthe eye? The will to see together with the presence of light, created the eye? Just the simple fact of trying to imagine how wasit that the first eye developed should make us consider some typeof guiding natural intention, evolutionary energy…or Love. Practicing and being present in human values is exercising aloving and peaceful attitude and way of understanding everythingthat happens to us. Human values come about through making spacein the mind, seeing from a different perspective. Again these areonly words. True human values are not only product of wishfulthinking but apparently must have an important dose o some type ofcontemplative practice that modifies our whole organism.Specially the trophic relationship between our cortex, limbicsystem and autonomous nervous system. These states of presencebased on human values become more biologically wired the more theyare practiced. What we chose to think and keep alive in our mind createsbiological correlates throughout our whole body. We have a mindthat permanently changes the brain and the whole body. As abstractand virtual as an idea can be, it becomes material through anemotion. The higher our self-awareness and metacogitive skills themore our emotions become the building blocks for human values, such as love, compassion, and happiness. With these valuesactively kept in mind, the matter in our whole body is that ofpeace, balance and equanimity. Biological peace and equanimity. The “body” as a highly efficient ecosystem. Low consumption andvery high levels of energy, motivation and altruistic basedactions. An idea, an intention based on love and compassionbecomes highly motivating. At this point maybe we are beyond needing to prove and study loveand closer to an urgent need to practice it at a larger scale.

There is no one method to learn how-to-love. Maybe the method isthat there is no method other than to profoundly want to developand find it, with no expectations, and enough courage. A couragethat is more than being brave to overcome fear. Its a couragecomes from a deep felt knowing, faith and confidence that lovealready exists, we just have to discover it. It is very exiting to see that most of today’s scientists thatstudy self-awareness are practitioners themselves. Reality is whatwe make of it. The larger our perspective and vision of what makesup “reality” the less tainted and subjective our investigations onthe brain, mind and awareness become. It is good to know and see that we have overcome our thoughts oflove only being a matter of procreation or partner relationships. This would be an underestimation and simplification of nature andevolution. For example, today cooperation and altruism are stillby-products of spiritual practices that must be actively sought. However they have been found in other species with “less developedbrains” but also less neurotic minds. Maybe the clue is that themore we develop these “higher human skills” the more we learn howto balance our relatively new human capacity to reason and analyzewith “pre-symbolic” contemplative skills. Children and manyanimals live in a constant present, contemplative present. Inchildren it is up until their auto bibliographical and symboliccapacities kick in. Then they begin to get caught up in thoughtand behavioral conditioning grows Before risking to becomes entrapped in trying to explain lovethrough words, it is never enough said that love is action, guidedby an increasing awe and devotion towards itself. Life and naturebecome a material representation of Love. Loves becomes and meansloyalty towards the human species and everything that exists. Acompassionate devotion towards life, which inspires the highestlevel of cooperative thinking. The more you love the better youfeel and the less you need, the more you can give. Far from anideal states that once achieved are for ever, they are circular innature and hard work: here today, gone tomorrow and back the nextday. This intermittent reinforcing nature makes love even moreappealing and interesting to seek understand, In seeking to understand love what becomes evident is that loveand the rest of the human values might be our evolutionaryspearhead. Then, if we add that we have been built to procreateand raise children and that a babies brain is hard wired to learnthrough imitation, Bingo! Today we have the capacity to

27

Page 28: 2014 ISSS Science & Spirituality Final

consciously participate in our own evolution, through the activedevelopment of our highest human capacity, the capacity to loveunconditionally. We have enough "data" today to know what true love is. Not onlyfrom a spiritual stand point but now also from a scientificperspective. Do we need to keep on testing and investigating loveor is it time to join and send a very powerful message to stopviolence and redefine human values? Human values are our truedestiny, the future of evolution accessed purposefully today. Isthere a higher priority? Today just simply applying inner wisdombased thinking to why there are people that have "to much" andother have less than they need, it becomes clear. Our currentparadigm is set on a competitive, consumption based, individual, survival of the fittest culture. This culture has its correlateson the brain. Today contemplative practices are shedding light onthis and many other byproducts and consequences of our lack ofcommon sense living based only on reason. Higher more integratedthinking is happening in our brains as well as in communities. Howmuch more until public policy, government and global decisionmaking leaders begin to base their goals and actions on true humanlove and greater good algorithms? We have enough evidence-basedscience to paper the UN walls proving that Love is a humancapacity that can put and end to greed, anger, envy, jealousy andfear. Common sense. Is it still to uncomfortable or consideredtrivial to talk about the active development and practice humanvalues and love as means to stop injustice, unhappiness violence, hunger and war? We have the data and how to practice.Contemplative practices change the brain, mind and awareness. Fromegocentric thinking make us become more and more inclusive andallocentric, less reactive, more peaceful and compassionate. Thisis a fact. What are we waiting for? Love as the highest humanvalues must be a global priority to discuss and enforce. Maybe we might be arriving to the era that the French Jesuitpriest, philosopher and paleontologist Pierre Teilard du Chardin(1881-1951) predicted? “Love is the only force which can make things one withoutdestroying them. … Some day, after mastering the winds, the waves, the tides andgravity, we shall harness…the energies of love, and then, for the second time in thehistory of the world, man will have discovered fire”.

Breatharianism and the look across the boundaries ofscience

Peter A. Straubinger

-Peter-Arthur Straubinger , Director of  the feature documentary „In thebeginning there was light“ ("Am Anfang war das Licht", “Vivir de la Luz“ enEspañol), which deals with human beeings who can survive without food andfluid, over years and even decades.r

Peter-Arthur Straubinger is an Austrian journalist and filmmaker who hasworked for more than 20 years for the Austrian Broadcasting CorporationORF. In spring of 2000 he met a meditation teacher, who allegedly stoppedeating physical food completely for more than a year at that time. Thispersonal encounter was the beginning of years of private research in whichthe open but still skeptical director studied this strange phenomenon of“Inedia completa” a.k.a. „Breatharianism“. After finding a lot of contradictinginformation in books and on the internet, P.A. Straubinger started to searchfor first hand information around the world.http://www.lightdocumentary.com/background.html

Is it possible that human beings can survive without foodand fluid over many years and live on light alone?

Living on no food at all? It sounds ridiculous. It fliesin the face of everything we know about nutrition andbiochemistry.

So why did a former agnostic, like me, invest ten yearsto make a film about such „esoteric nonsense“ ?

I will start the speech with a personal aproach and theproduction-background of my documentary “In the beginningthere was light” (“Am Anfang war das Licht”, “Lumière“,“Vivir de la luz“) which became one of the mostsuccessful  Austrian documentaries of all time. It alsobecame one of the most controversial documentaries in theGerman speaking countries and I will share and discussthe reasons for this.

“In the beginning there was light“ shows different sidesof this strange phenomenon. Of course there is

29

starvation, delusion and fraud in many cases but thereare even more unsolved scientific mysteries forcing us tolook beyond the boundaries of our knowledge. In the end,we have to question the  mechanistic, materialistic viewof the world, that predominates western societies andmainstream science.

So looking at the historic, scientific and controversialaspects of this  phenomenon known as “Inedia completa” orpopularly “Breatharianism”, is just the hook for a muchmore profound discussion.

Nevertheless we want to find out what truth is in thesesincredible claims of people who say they can renouncecompletely from physical food. Are we confronted withquackery or with forgotten knowledge? How doestraditional science react to this phenomenon?

Confirmed testimonials as well as cases tested withscientific and skeptical scrutiny are known all over theplanet, throughout all cultures.

From the Christian saints and indian Yogis via ChineseBigu- and Qi Gong masters to historical cases of inediathroughout hunger periods and modern day “media heros andanti-heros” like Hira Ratan Manek or Prahlad Jani.

In the case of Prahlad Jani, who claims to have surivedfor decades without eating and drinking(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jLR3KaATUM), thereexists level A-evidence for at least 15 days that thereis an authentic medical phenomenon. This Prahlad Janicase study(http://www.sudhirneuro.org/files/mataji_case_study.pdf)is certified by dozens of medical experts, supervised bythe Indian Defence Institute of Physiology and AlliedSciences.

There are even more interesting cases with Qi Gongmasters done by the Chinese Military. All these studiesnever have been published in peer- reviewed Westernjournals, so some sceptics tend to believe in conspiracy

30

Page 31: 2014 ISSS Science & Spirituality Final

and fraud.

However, there exist Western peer-reviewed studies andmeta-studies showing that the all mighty “Calory-Theory”is a scientific simplification, misleading us in the waywe think about nutrition and life energy. Our bodies aremore than complex „combustion engines“.

Science still cannot explain how the human metabolismworks in detail. The human energy balance is still afield with huge unknown areas.

A peer-reviewed study in the American Journal of ClincialNutrition(http://ajcn.nutrition.org/content/33/6/1287.full.pdf)showed that up to 25 percent of the energy in a humanbody are “unmeasured energy” – coming from an unknownsource.

“Calory mathematics” is not the whole truth – that´s forsure…

And this fits perfectly with the Eastern medicaltraditions which tell us that the “life energy” known inIndia as prana, enters the body, not only via breath andfood, but also directly via the skin. Here we are movingaway from mainstream science to “non-materialistic“subtle energies known as Qi, Prana or Orgon like WilhelmReich called it.

What is energy and what is matter ? And is there a realmfor the spiritual world -  besides figments of prophetsand spiritual leaders ?

Are mind, consciousness and soul really just anephiphenomen of biological brain activity ? Is matter“everthing” like mainstream science believes ? Is thepredominating view of mechanistic materialism in ourwestern societies just a “historic mistake” ?

Science is moving into a dead end if we do not takeaspects of mind and conciousness more serious as Physics

Nobel Prize Laureate Brian Josephson claims.

Another Nobel Prize Laureate, the Founder of modern dayQuantum Physics, Max Planck makes an even more precisestatement:

“As a man who has devoted his whole life to the most clear headedscience, to the study of matter, I can tell you as a result of my researchabout atoms this much:

There is no matter as such.

All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings theparticles of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solarsystem of the atom together. We must assume behind this force theexistence of a conscious and intelligent mind. This mind is the matrix ofall matter.”

So finally we not only have to discuss about the way we think ofnutrition but also the way we think of us as a human being. Arewe more than our brains and bodies ? What is mind, soul andconsciousness and what is life in general ?

Science evolves through alternating phases of “normalscience” and radical shifts that create scientificrevolutions. We saw this at the turn of the 20th century, when science shifted from a Newtonian worldview toEinstein’s relativity paradigm, and again with the shiftto the quantum paradigm. Now, as we recognize thenonlocal interconnection of all things in space and time,we find our scientific worldview shifting once again.

With contributions by physicists Paul A. LaViolette andPeter Jakubowski, pioneering systems scientist I explorethe genesis of the current revolution in scientificthought and the latest findings in support of the Akashicfield. Now we how the burgeoning Akasha paradigm returnsour way of thinking to an integral consciousness, anonlinear mode of understanding that enables us to acceptthe reality of nonlocal interconnection throughout theworld. This new inclusive way of understanding reaffirmsthe age-old instinctive comprehension of deep connectionsamong people, societies, and nature, and it integratesand transcends classical religious and scientificparadigms.

Providing examples from cutting-edge science of quantum-resonance-based interactions among all living systems. Wecan see the cosmos of the Akasha to be a self-actualizing, self-organizing whole, where each part is incoherence with all others and all parts together createthe conditions for the emergence of life and

consciousness. The advent of the Akasha paradigm marks anew stage in science’s understanding of the fundamentalnature of the world and offers unique guidance forcontemporary efforts to create a peaceful and sustainableworld.

The physical and spiritual experience of Pure Love, does not always manifest in the same way, intensity andlasts the same time.

It is physical because it is perceptible in everymolecule of my body and that becomes a state ofvibration in which the limits of the shapes of body andother things, outside me, disappear. There are noboundaries. It is as if all my skin, organs and bodyparts erase, and everything inside me claim to beextended, to occupy everything. Like water enteringand flooding a large container where is full of things. While an energetic sense transcends my body, a verywarm light flows from my heart. And it does, literally, like loaded stream, of about ten centimeters ofdiameter, strong and unstoppable flowing through acentral channel of my body and renewed every particleof it.

My mind involuntarily becomes totally loving. I feeland emanate an immense need to give and share love, andeverything. There is nothing to become angry at, and ifthere is anything annoying, I can observe objectively, without feeling rejection or anger. Only emerges fromme compassion and forgiveness. An attitude of givingmanifests, never asking for or pulling out, removing ordemanding.

The experience of Pure Love doesn’t happen to mepermanently, all day long, seven days a week. I amexperiencing them more often and in differentintensities and states. As I said before, not always isexactly in the same way but always amazing andpleasant. Sometimes happens while practicing sportssuch as when I run. Or during a trip, hen I am in abeautiful place and I feel myself part of the nature. When I swim in the sea and I feel myself part of theocean. Or during deep meditations like in sessions ofVipassana’s.

How is that I realize that is Pure Love? Because I feela distinctive state of kindness and compassion. No

matter what, I do not judge anything or anyone. I canwatch without getting involved, completely detached. And I have an urgent need to give and share, no matterwho is in front of me or how I can help. Even duringthose special moments, faces and names of who have donea lot of damage, come up to my mind, and I can feel alot of compassion for them. Also, I feel compassionfor me, myself. Besides I can be totally unconditional, without receiving any pay or get interested in gettingsomething from others. Only feeling that, the ones whoare in front of me are me. I can find excuses todefend them because of their bad behavior, withcompassion. That is unconditionally love, like the onemotherss use to have.

We are multidimensional divine beings who simply occupya physical body at this time in this space. I hadperceived it in my near death experience, in which Icould also experience the feeling of pure love, in avery white infinite and warm intense light.

We are "divines" co-creators, cosmic beings of greatimportance in the universe/s. Today we know that we areall kind of "gods". We are made of the same matter ofGod, we have the same powers and abilities of theCreator: to love and perform miracles. We must realizeand become aware of who we are and stop deifying whatis common, normal, plain, inherent of human beings. There are no secrets in Science any more. Nowadays, this can be demonstrated empirically. We have therecipe for achieving "miracles". And has nothing to dowith magic or esotericism, absolutely everything hasits evidence in science.

In Science, Electromagnetism is the language that letus know the way we can choose to make things happen. When we use our freewill in a positive way to changeour emotions, we modify the calcium ion, becoming verygood electromagnetic conductors, that produce theproteins we need to balance our PH in the organism tomanage the creative thoughts, emotions and words.(López Guerrero,Rafael , “Fundamentos de

To say some experiments that bring us scientificevidence: 1 -. "Relationship between DNA and things".Vladimir Poponin performed an experiment in early 90’s,in which he put DNA in a vacuum tube. He could observehow the photon-energy-particles were distributedordered in line. Later, when the DNA was removed from the glass tube, the photons were lined up there, in the same way theydid when the DNA was there. 2 - "The human DNA is communicated via a field that is not currentlyrecognized” (the Akasha?). Dr. Clive Baxter performed amilitary experiment. DNA from a donor was placed in adevice in a room. The donor was moved to another room, several feet away. The behavioral effects of both, theDNA and the donor, were measured all the time. Thebehavior of both, the donor and the DNA, located indifferent rooms, were expressing the same reactions forthe stimulated emotions caused to the donor. Asconfirmed human beings we communicate with our DNA byour emotions through a nonlocal energy, even atdifferent locations. 3 - 'Human emotions have the power to change the way the DNA ofour bodies behaves". In an experiment conducted by LionelPoppe, was shown to manifest love and compassion, theDNA was relaxed and extended. While expressing hatred, anger and jealousy DNA contracted and compacted. Weconclude that the DNA of our bodies have the power toinfluence energy, and consequently produces an effectin the world. Human beings have the power to change our DNA, and itis only through the power of choice, the power we havein our free will. As a matter of fact, DNA has the power to influence theworld. Therefore, if we have the power to change ourDNA by our choices and our DNA can influence the worldaround us, we have the power to influence the world. And are our emotions, thoughts, beliefs and prayersthat transcend the boundaries of time and space, as weknow it today, to produce effects in the world.

We are ALL ONE When you allow yourself to feel love, in the process ofawakening, personal energy with universal energy isunified. It connects the inner world with the outerworld then: ALL IS ONE.

All forms dissolve and change, is the phenomenon ofImpermanence. Heraclitus-statement-is the awarenessconnected to our heart, to what it is. To develop thisheart awareness we accept everything unconditionally asit is and then we can live a full life.

Carl Jung said, "He who looks outside, dreams, wholooks inside, awakens." Stop searching out what existswithin: LOVE, GOD and POWER. I extend my attentioninward, sacrifice my mind, and opened my heart to beconscious of God and myself. God, love and power dwellsin me ... like me. Radiating my being at the heart.Self-knowledge is the only straight and immediate way.And it's fascinating. The most I know myself, the moreI love me, and as a consequence I know more others andI love more others. And is only working on me that Icreate the magnificent internal and external positivefeedback system.

Is “thinking” that creates duality. We try to understand the world in a quali - quantitative way. And this only led me think more. And it's the thought that leads the experience of limitation. It is still awareness that makeus understand the illusion. “This whole creation is essentially subjective, and the dream is the theater where the dreamer is at once scene, actor, prompter, stage manager, author, audience, and critic”. (Carl Gustav Young, 1928)

Everything is connected to the only source that isconstantly vibrating. Full of everything. Invisibleenergy: Akasha, the space itself. The Red Indra.

Tantra as maximum expression of love and power supply The most creative energy in the universe is LOVE. And

39

Page 40: 2014 ISSS Science & Spirituality Final

the most powerful is the sexual love energy that is theone that creates LIFE. It is this desire of power thathas inspired many great achievements along humanhistory.

Why had been in human history the desire to suppressthis powerful energy? Why cultures and religions hadspread that sex is bad, dirty or forbidden? Sex in itspurest form is the highest expression type of love:Gives Life. However, sex had been separated from loveand it has been treated as merely physical impulse. What makes us believe that we are completely physicalbeings. And when we recognize the physical body as anenergy system that can experience all the emotions, then we honor sexuality as the highest expression ofthe union of the physics and spiritual aspects of ourbeing. Tantra is the highest expression of Love. Andnot only aims to achieve maximum pleasure during sexbut also, when the purpose of the couple is not to havea child, teaches how to redirect the sexual powerenergy to be used towards the dreams and plans, withoutlosing the benefit of expressing love with the greatestjoy and pleasure. Think about it, culminates with theunion of the two souls with the energy of the Cosmos:the Whole.

How to evolveThe physical dimension in which you focus is only oneaspect of your divine being. However, it is thephysical body that sets your divine consciousness inthis reality. The density and levels of unconsciousnesscan overwhelm, but you can continue "stretching" theawareness and make it move beyond the acquiredlimitations.

And it is without reference to the past that isachieved, so the importance of cleansing the CellularMemory. Disconnect intentionally associative memory.Disconnect all the elements that come with the logic ofthe past. How? Behaving as an observer of myself. Justobserve without judging. Without prejudice. I accepteverything what happens, see and feel. It is what it

40

Page 41: 2014 ISSS Science & Spirituality Final

is. Nothing is right, nothing is wrong, everything isthe way it is. I do not struggle with that, onlyaccept and let it be.

Only freedom from accumulated memories brings renewal, and unless there is understanding in the present, inthe now. The mind can understand the now only if you donot compare, if you don’t judge. The desire to alter orcompare the now without having understood it, continuesthe past. There is only renewed when we understand, without distortion. The past is reflected in the mirrorof the present. (Jiddu Krishnamurti, 1945-1948)

There are hundreds of techniques of all types forreaching these internal connection. Most of them havein common the objective of cleansing the chakras toallow energy flow. Others show how to charge energyfrom the universe, air, sun, light. One technique thatis fast, easy and deep, to reach good results in ashort time, is “The Methodology" that applies theDoubling Time Theory ( of Jean Pierre Garnier Malet),by Alejandra Casado. There are many kinds ofmeditations and insight procedures. Vipassana is a verygood way of meditation, requires a big effort and ittakes time, but has excellent results. Imagine a society that instead of being contaminated byselfishness, envy, anger is aware of Its divine powers, with intact capacity to love and the will to developnot only the gifts but also the love. Where instead ofhaving one Jesus Christ, a Buddha, a Mahatma Ghandi, aTheresa Mother ... all are "enlightened masters" byknowing ourselves, being in touch with our divineessence permanently in a state of manifestation. Aworld where everybody lives in a "state of grace" orcontinuous and permanent "enlightenment".

And for who is aware of this knowledge, is not only amoral duty to practice this knowledge but also toexercise the responsibility to transmit thefundamentals. We have to be tools to reach the criticalmass that produces the change in a turning point in the

history of humanity. Always from the role we play inthis gigantic chess game, where all of us are worthypieces of the huge holographic and multidimensionaluniverse. Of course, it does not depend solely on us.This is a giant puzzle. Task is addicted to many"illnesses" such as selfishness, greed, attachment, materialism. All illusions of humans that stay asleepduring the life of many generations.

Well, this is it, now we can be the change.

With a complex systemic attitude, each one from hisplace, where innate condition "divine", natural powershave called to develop now, although it would belogical to call them human, because they are inherentto the human race. That is exactly what should betaught. And give birth to generations of enlightenedhappy human beings. Divine beings with developedproperties to preform miracles as natural events ondaily life. It is especially important to teachchildren not to lose their inner connection. Just, LETUS BE.

EMOTO'S WATER PEACE PROJECTMASARU EMOTO

-Dr. Masaru Emoto who is going to present toß us his vision of global peace throughwater and his mission with the Emoto Peace Project. In sanskrit, Nada means sound, river flow, while Brahma meansorigin and essence. Emoto, in japanese means river, and Motomeans origin. Essentially, Emoto is Nada Brahma, which means"the origin of the river" and the essence is is sound/vibration.The "Emoto Peace Project" communicates our hope that each childwho has learnt the importance of water and the true nature ofBeing will be a drop that will collectively become a largeflowing river for peace. The Emoto Peace Project's mission is to teach all people, specially children, the true power of words, thoughts, emotions, and prayers through water for peace within and around the world. The message from water we would like to share, the one we learnthrough the research on water in an enjoyable way. One of theactions is to distribute the "The message from Water" book tothe children around the world for free and hope that they findthe importance of water and the true nature of us, human beings. The target audience is children, because we supple it is ratherdifficult to change the minds of adults whose opinion is alreadyfixed. The future is up to the open-minded children. What weadults can donor is to give them a chance to learn about thewater and true nature of human beings. We hope the book will betranslated into many languages and be help to realize the goal.We would like everybody to help this project move forward. We are primarily made of water, and with water with the capacityof being imprinted with intention and vibration. We each have adeep responsibility in shaping our inner and outer world withevery word we say and every action we make. The idea is to touch the hearts and open the minds of our localand global communities like a wave in motion to create changefor a more promising and peaceful tomorrow. Human beings are 95% water when they are born, and 70% when theyare adult. On Earth happens the same. The 70% of the surface iscovered by water. There is water mostly everywhere. Water comesin different forms , rain water, river water, water floatingabout in the sky as clouds or fog. All water is precious to us.Water shows different crystal forms depending on the place orconditions in which it is found. Playing music to water can change it's crystal. And good musiccan positively affect water. Also do the words, images. But themost important truth is that showing our emotions to water

influences on the stage of it. Feelings of love, gratitude, produce beautiful crystals. On the contrary, bad feelings ofanger, hate, produce ugly crystals.

Science is SpiritualityIn ancient times, Science and Spirituality were notseparated. They were parts of the same thing. But theexternal knowledge research was balanced with the internalimpermanence feeling, comprehension and intuitive knowledge.Later the growing of the deep specialization in differentdisciplines was traduced on that more people loose thecapacity of watching the big picture and to feel and havethe intuition of the system in the whole. As the informationwent multiplying and scientific thought became morepredominant produced a fragmentation among science andspirituality. Now that we have empiric proves and we recoverd theknowledge, and the way to develop the intuition we can saythat "Science is Spirituality".Dr. Emilio Carrillo says that "Science and Spirituality are thelyrics of the same song".
