Notes:
1) mtCO2e stands for total metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent. Emissions calculated utilize IPCC AR4 Global Warming Potential values.
2) For several sources EPA’s reporting program data has been used in place of data reported to DEQ. EPA values can be identified in the above chart as follows:
10 Oregon Department of Environmental Quality 2014 Greenhouse gas emissions reported by facilities holding air quality permits – revised Jan. 5, 2016
* Emissions values have been updated to utilize 2014 EPA published GHG emissions for solid waste landfills
** Emission values have been updated to include fluorinated gases reported to EPA mandatory reporting program. These fluorinated gases are expected to
be included in DEQ greenhouse gas reports beginning with the 2015 emission reports.
3) Source ID is the six digit identification number held by a facility in DEQ and LRAPA air quality divisions.
4) Biogenic emissions include CO2 resulting from the combustion of biomass or from an industrial process involving biomass.
5) Anthropogenic emissions include all non-biogenic emissions, such as emissions from the combustion of natural gas, coal, and fuel oil as well as most industrial
process emissions.
6) The industry types listed are the North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) codes in each facility’s air quality permit. The industry types listed
are for the activity associated with the source(s) of emissions requiring the permit, not more broadly with the facility. Some facilities have one or more secondary
classification not listed in this table. The NAICS code may not represent the primary function of the facility.
