FORMULA STUDENT

FSAE ITALY 2014

From 28th August to 1st September 2014 PolSl Racing team, supported by your

company, took part in the most prestigious student competition in the world, Formula SAE

Italy. Contest was held on Riccardo Paletti circuit in Verano, near Modena, Italy.

This year we started in category, where static part of project (business plan, cost

report, rules conformance and design report) was judged, and we achieved 5th place.

It was excellent opportunity to verify our previous actions – we held plenty of

conversations with judges, who have been working in Formula one for years and

engineers working for Ferrari, Maserati and Dallara companies, we talked as well with

Abarth and Lamborghini designers. Their valuable observations helped us find out, which

things we are good at, and which ones we should work on. We were given advice

concerning our project and future plans. Knowledge we acquired will allow us to

accelerate work on new vehicle and avoid some mistakes.

During our stay, we have done our best to promote companies, who support us.

Besides logotypes placed on bolide our paddock was equipped with banners and

articles marketing our sponsors and partners. Above all each team member has been

wearing team T-Shirt, where logotypes were printed.

After competition we have visited Dallara factory, Ferrari and Lamborghini

museums, also Pagani museum and factory. In each place we analysed constructions of

different vehicles and their production process. We have seen a lot of interesting solutions,

which will be examined in terms of using them in our vehicle.

The journey turned out to be a huge step forwards for whole Formula Student

projects, which is being conducted on Silesian University of Technology. Moreover, each

of us had invaluable opportunity to confront one’s project with real life, and meticulous

arbiters judgement. Both during the competition and while visiting particular companies

and museums, we have learned plenty of things, and observed interesting solutions, we

could use in the future. Acquired knowledge and experience are certainly going to

display in better results next year.

SUMMER CARS PARTY

KATOWICE

We barely came back from Italy and immediately we got an opportunity to present

our car, and consequently supporting us companies in our region. From 6th September to

7th September 2014 we participated in the most famous in Silesian Regional automotive

event – Summer Cars Party in Katowice.

In past few months we have been able to present our project and partners who

supports us to wide audience.

About 30 articles about our team

have been publicised since May 2014,

both in local press and Internet.

Information was showed on web portals

Moreover we have been hearable in

radio – giving two interviews for Polish

Radio Katowice and Silesia Radio.

Recently, we have won the support

of two meaningful media – Polish Radio

Katowice has granted their patronage to

our project, and web portal Interia.pl

became our Strategy Media Partner.
