• Level 1 Certification

- Certification between POS retailer and their certified TPP

- Includes run of script used in Level 2

- Ensures POS is capable of running all transactions without issue

• Level 2 Certification

- Performed in POS providers’ lab

- Includes processor (CDP) and State representatives

- Includes QA contractor

- Typically lasts 2-3 days

- Includes complete run of script for all test scenarios

- Processor and QA contractor recommend Pass/Fail of certification

- If certification fails, corrections must be proven prior to final Level 2 Certification
