Graham Nash has noted that “when the Everly Brothers sang together, there was something in their voice that made two voices into one voice that created a sound that I don’t think is possible with unrelated singers.” This phenomenon is real, and at Voice Works this year we’ll have a chance to enjoy how people who were raised with the same accent, the same phrasing and intonation, the same genes, are capable of blending their voices like coffee and cream.

Since its inception in 1977, the Festival of American Fiddle Tunes has been one of the largest celebrations of traditional music west of the Mississippi.

Artistic Director Suzy Thompson leads hundreds of performers who come to Fort Worden State Park every summer for a full week of workshop classes, band labs, tutorials, dances, concerts, open jams, parties, and informal and spontaneous gatherings.
