lenses that provide 100% Uv protection. the durable military-

grade nylon frame and flexible grilamid temples of the Zulu

allows for a comfortable and secure fit. integrated rubber pads on

the inner sides of the temples and nose bridge prevents slippage

and unwanted movement of the eyewear when in action. the Zulu

grade nylon that enables it to endure the toughest conditions

soldiers face while training or in the field. the Prowler offers

maximum versatility with removable temples and a goggle strap

for quick conversion from sunglass to goggle. its protective

side shields provide extra protection in guarding against flying

debris. additionally, its anti-fog smoked lens meets the impact

requirements of the stringent military ballistics test; Mil-rf-31013,

and the dual layer flame retardant foam provides padded comfort

while absorbing moisture from perspiration. the Prowler also

the base curve is the front curve of any lens. the higher the base curve (4-12 base) the

more curved the lenses are thus making the frame wrap around closer to the sides of the

head. high base curved lenses are between 8 and 12 base.

RAPID INTERLOCK SYSTEM

the rapid interlock system technology allows for quick conversion between sunglasses

and goggles in the same eyewear frame with removable temples that go on and off

with one easy click.

is a flexible, rubber sponge-like foam that provides great thermal and moisture insulation,

while being very durable.

tends to be lighter, softer and more sweat absorbing than closed cell foam. open cell foam

also has a tendency to provide a better seal or fit because it is softer and conforms to the

contours of the face.

this type of foam has low water absorption, while being weather and chemical resistant.

it also provides ventilation to reduce fogging and has a tendency to be longer lasting

than open cell foam.

grilamid is a nylon compound that offers increased durability and greater flexibility while

being extremely lightweight. these frames are flexible and allow the frame to contour the

head and face to provide a more comfortable fit.

ballistic testing standards Mil-v-43511c and Mil-Prf-31013.

glasses are impacted with a 0.15 caliber, 5.8 grain, t37 shaped projectile at 640 to 660

feet per second. goggles are impacted 3 times with a 0.22 caliber, 17 grain, t37 shaped

projectile at 550 to 560 feet per second.

eyewear is considered a failure if any parts of the frame or lenses crack or separate from

Most photochromic lenses do not get as dark as traditional smoked lenses. do not leave

photochromic lenses in direct sun or extreme heat for long periods of time as it will

decrease the performance of the lenses.

Bobster® photochromic lenses are available in a variety of eyewear styles and are

precisely designed to automatically darken/lighten to the amount of ultraviolet (Uv)

light that reaches the lens. the advantage of a photochromic lens is that you can wear

your eyewear all day and not have to carry multiple sets of eyewear with you or change

your lenses according to light conditions. the higher the visible light transmission

(vlt) rate is, the lighter the lens color. clear lenses have a transmission rate between

80%-100% and typical smoked lenses have a vlt rate of 8%-18%. Please refer to

individual eyewear for more vlt information.

Bobster® features durable, lightweight, polycarbonate lenses which provide startling optical

clarity and protection against high mass and high-velocity impact. Polycarbonate lenses

are the preferred lenses for performance eyewear because they are shatter-resistant and

will not splinter if hit by fast-moving objects, such as debris and gravel. all Bobster® lenses

provide 100% Uva and UvB protection. Bobster® utilizes polycarbonate lenses in all of our

frames unless otherwise noted.

while ordinary tinted lenses reduce brightness, only polarized lenses eliminate glare. to

ensure the impact resistance of the lenses, Bobster® uses polycarbonate polarized lenses

that are shatter-resistant unlike most companies that use polarized lenses that will shatter

on high impact.

when looking through a non-optically correct lens your eyes will continually refocus due to

distortion, this strains the eyes and can lead to headaches, nausea, and dizziness.
